Work Text:
Raditz looked up from his computer when he heard folders slapped down on his desk.
“Get me copies of these and while you’re at it, bring me a coffee. Milk and sugar.”
Raditz looked up and grinned charmingly at his beautiful boss, Rei Hino, “Yes, ma’am.”
Rei scoffed in annoyance and turned on her heel with her black raven hair whipping over her shoulder. Raditz watched her walk away; her tight red pencil skirt and black heels were doing her a lot of favors, showing off that toned yet curved physique. When she was out of sight, he got up and left her executive office to go to the communal area where the copiers and lounge were located. He looked down at his task and realized she had forgotten to tell him the exact number of copies she wanted. He raised a brow, that wasn’t like her to be that forgetful.
Raditz sighed and decided that he would only get one of the two tasks she ordered him to be done and just deal with her yelling at him. Not that he minded; she was fetching as her skin at her chest would get red and blotchy while it heavied heavily in her anger, and her dark violet eyes would flash with righteous fire. He went to the coffee machine and grabbed a paper cup and her favorite coffee pod to prepare her brew.
“Hey Raditz, how’s it going with Boss Bitch?”
Raditz looked over to see the adonis, Jadeite leaning against the door frame with a smirk on his perfectly handsome face and Raditz had to refrain from rolling his eyes. The man had been gunning for his job since Raditz started, and Raditz already knew what kind of game Jadeite was playing. Raditz never once spoke an ill word of his boss, no matter how demanding she was because he knew it would get around back to her, and it was exactly what the blonde man was hoping for.
“She’s not a bitch and mind your own business,” Raditz said as pressed the button to start her coffee before grabbing the milk and sugar.
“Oh come on, isn’t it hard working for her? I can hear her screeching all the way from the bottom level,” Jadeite chuckled at his own joke.
“Well maybe you should stop listening by the air ducts,” Raditz shot back as the water heated up. Why was this taking so long?
“Funny. You know her last personal assistant didn’t last very long. I think it had to do with PTSD from working with Boss Cold Bitch,” Jadeite remarked as he buffed his nails on his well-tailored suit, which had to be way out of his means.
“No, she left because she found out she had cancer and Ms. Hino compensated her well. Maybe you should get your facts straight,” Raditz said as it seemed like hours as the hot brew started trickling down into the cup.
“Hey, just a rumor I heard,” Jadeite shrugged carelessly.
“Then keep it to yourself. Ms. Hino is a perfectionist, yes but she is very caring toward her employees. Perhaps maybe you should look for another position if you don’t know this,” Raditz turned to glare at Jadeite but froze when he saw Rei standing behind Jadeite.
“Thank you, Mr. Son.”
Jadeite jumped out of his skin and turned to face Rei, clearing his throat, “Ms. Hino.”
“That’s Boss Cold Bitch to you,” she said as she crossed her arms, her face haughty and unamused.
Raditz could see the handsome man pale, “Ms. Hino, I…”
“Can pack your things and go. You’re done here,” Rei said as she turned her body to let him leave.
Jadeite gaped at her like a fish out of water, “What? But you can’t do that!”
“I can and I just did. You can leave by yourself or you can leave with security, your choice,” Rei’s voice was stern with authority as she made her ultimatum.
Jadeite’s face flushed red and he stormed out of the lounge. Rei huffed and turned her face away, but Raditz swore he saw a hint of a tear at the corner of her eye. However, he refused to comment on it and finished making her coffee and place a lid on top. “Ms. Hino, you forgot to tell me how many copies you wanted.”
She huffed and turned back to him with an annoyed look, “That’s what I came here to tell you. I want 20 copies of each and bound together.”
Raditz grinned as though nothing had happened, “Yes, ma’am.” He held out the coffee to her, “Ms. Hino, just the way you like it.”
She stepped closer to him and took it, “Good work.” She turned on her heel to march out of the room but Raditz didn’t miss the shy smile that graced her lips.
