Pretty much everyone expected Kirishima and Bakugou to date because they were compatible. Even if they never said that they were together like that! Most of the time they acted like they were going out though! Like sometimes Bakugou would hold Kirishima's hand, looking calmer than anyone had seen him in a long time and every so often Kirishima would kiss the palm of the blonde males hand. That's totally a boyfriend thing to do! Isn't it? Well... to them? Not really. Bakugou trusted Kirishima and Kirishima trusted Bakugou a lot! Occasionally he liked to kiss Bakugou's hand to show that he trusted him enough to do that but they were not boyfriends, they were honestly really good friends! Like best friends and they were happy only being friends reason being Bakugou had a crush on someone else.
What nobody knew, even Bakugou, was that Kirishima already had a boyfriend and right now, he was sneaking over to see him, due to the fact that they haven't been able to hang out with each other in a while; school had been pretty stressful. Kirishima was almost to the room where they meet up at when he heard a voice shout his name, making him stand up straight quickly, his eyes wide but he quickly turns, grinning "Hey!" He hoped he didn't look nervous. He was scared to let people find out about him and his boyfriend on the grounds that his boyfriend didn't want anyone to know that they were together yet. Kirishima wasn't fully sure why, since his partner hasn't explained on why yet but he didn't mind waiting... even if it did slightly upset him at times.
It was Denki.
He grins looking at him and raises his hand, waving Mina standing near the end of the hallway also waving with a bright grin on her face, and she cups her hands around her mouth, shouting "Hey Kirishima!" he laughs at that waving back to her rolling his eyes, in a playful way and Denki starts to talk "We're planning on going out for a while, we wanted to see if you and kacchan wanted to come? You can always talk him into this kinda stuff, Sero's gonna tag along too! We thought it would be a big Bakusquad hang out it's been a while since all five of us hung out"
Oh no, saying no to his friends? His eyes shoot away thinking about what to say and he rubs his neck, clearing his throat as he started to talk "Aw I would love to you guys but I'm kinda busy right now, so I can't; but we can totally hang out later! I'm gonna go do some important things" he said, pointing over his shoulder.
Denki pouts and tilts his head asking, his voice sounding confused "For real? Come on man, what can be more important than us?" Kirishima... wasn't too sure how to respond to that and now he was starting to feel bad. Maybe he could tell his boyfriend that he couldn't hang out but he wants to! He hangs out with bakusquad all the time, so he should be able to hang out with someone else, right? Yet why did he feel so bad for saying no?
Before he could respond Jiro, who had been walking by, rolls her eyes and grabs Denki's ear starting to pull him away responding "he said he can't Denki, come on, I'll take his place this time, let's go get Bakugou and get started" she gives Kirishima a thumbs up while walking away. Denki shutting his eyes tightly as he followed her, not like he could say no to her right now "ow ow come on, mean, let me go. You're hurting your boyfriend Jirou. Don't do this to me." Mina laughs and follows after them rolling her eyes looking amused.
Once they were gone, the hardening hero lets out a breath that he didn't know he was holding and laughs, shaking his head. Sorry Denki he thought to himself and turns starting to walk again. He knew that they were going to be meeting in this room; not many people go to anymore. It was an old classroom he didn't know what for, but it was normally empty! It was great for him and his boyfriend to meet up at even if it was sometimes sorta creepy and they would have to hide if someone comes in or even goes by the room it had a lot of boxes, so he assumed that it was now used for just storage.
His lips go up in a little lovestuck grin he couldn't believe he and this guy were going out to be honest! He remembered what it was like when he first met the other guy...
At the same time that his mind started to go back to memories he heard another voice say "Ah there you are Eijirou! It's a shock that your little friends aren't around, it's weird to not see Bakugou attached to your hip pretty much!" then laughing making Kirishima turn, only to see Monoma standing there holding his arms around himself, laughing; the sound echoing slightly off the quiet walls. Time has changed so much, he remembered how he used to get so bothered whenever Monoma would come around but after they started talking more he... well he noticed how it seemed Monoma used the way he spoke to make himself feel better, it was kinda sad at first but now? They were a lot better. Both of them were.
"Neito!" he hurries forward, picking up the slightly shorter boy up in a hug, laughing "I was looking for you!" yep! This was his boyfriend in case you couldn't tell by the first name base. They got together after 1-A and 1-B had to team up together and they worked really well with each other! They spoke while waiting for the other team to get into their line of sight before rushing in to fight them, and they learned a lot about each other! They even started to meet up out of school.
During that team up Kirishima saved Monoma by picking him up and jumping out of the way of a hit and running off and, to be honest, Monoma was not expecting to be held or how much he liked being held by the red head. When the blonde was picked up he tenses up, his eyes widening marginally because he wasn't expecting it, then he got his own loving smile and he places his hands against Kirishima's cheeks, gently pushing them closer to each other looking amused "I've been waiting for you too you big goof, what took you so long to get here?"
Kirishima smiles and chuckles, leaning into the touch shutting his eyes still holding Monoma up off the ground. They were around the same height, or at least they used to be. As they grew Kirishima went up to 5'11 while Monoma stayed at 5'7 which was the most annoying thing to the blonde! Though also it was nice to be held and sometimes they could even cuddle! He liked the feeling of being protected, even if he knew that he could take care of himself.
"Sorry the others were around... I still don't know why you don't want anyone to know about us you know" whenever Kirishima thought about that, it did upset him. Did Monoma not really like him? Was this all just a prank or something? He tried not to think about that! It wasn't something he should think of. No, no sad, not allowed he needed to stay happy.
Monoma knew that look that Kirishima had, making him frown "Honey honey no, you shouldn't be upset by that, I just don't want your friends to treat you any differently because you're with me; plus you need to focus on becoming a hero without them bugging you about me"
Kirishima pouts slightly and mumbles "They wouldn't leave me just because we're dating. I... I want them to know about us. I want to go on dates and hold your hand during lunch a-and-" he stops talking and just sighs, turning his head away looking upset and embarrassed, placing Monoma down on the ground not letting him go though his arms just loosening around him. Monoma stares up at him with a little frown on his face.
The reason that he didn't want Kirishima's friends to know that they were dating was because what if they somehow talked Kirishima into seeing that he could do so much better than him? What if Kirishima left him because of them? They most likely all think that he and Bakugou are with each other with how often they're around each other! Whenever they spend time together and get so close, Monoma wants to go up and kiss his boyfriend, shouting that he was his and everyone else could back off but he bit his tongue for once in his life. He kept his voice to himself and his words were caught in his throat fighting to get out. "...we can tell them soon, okay? I promise" he places his hands on Kirishima's cheeks, looking up at him with a little smile "I love you Eijirou" he leans up, pressing their lips together and holding it.
The red head smiles and shuts his eyes, kissing back slipping his arms around Monoma's waist tilting his head to gently deepen the kiss he figured that nobody would be around to see this, right? Wrong! As they were kissing they didn't notice Hagakure in view of the fact that... well... you know, she was invisible and she had been sneaking around the school to train on her sneakiness, but when she saw the two of them kissing she covers her mouth to stop herself from gasping and turns, running away she needed to tell the girls!
Hagakure runs over to Mina's room, who was getting ready to go out with the guys, Jiro was tagging along too! "Mina!" she shouts, making the pink girl jump her eyes shooting around quickly getting into a fighting stance, then she sighs putting her hand on her chest "Don't scare me like that!" She responds, slightly confused on why she couldn't see Hagakure that meant she wasn't wearing any clothes... weird "What's up?" there were quiet clapping sounds, most likely the invisible girl clapping her hands in her excitement "I know who Kirishima's dating! He has a boyfriend!"
Mina gasps putting her hands on her cheeks and grins "we need to tell the other girls!" she grabs her phone messaging the guys that she couldn't hang out, and sends a message to the girl group for a emergency meeting. She was so excited for her friend she wondered who he was with though? Most likely Bakugou, that isn't that big of a shock though and Hagakure seems pretty excited and shocked so maybe it'll be someone else? Ohhh maybe Izuku or even Tokoyami! That would be a shock. The dark guy with a bright ball of sunshine? Fun!
Finally all of the girls were in Mina's room. Momo had her hair out of her normal ponytail and Uraraka was in her pajamas, as she had been taking a nap. She was the first to talk "So what was so important that we needed to come? You put five exclamation marks, that's a bit much, even for you Mina" the pink girl laughs, scratching the back of her head grinning slightly "Yeah, sorry" she starts, then claps her hands again "I'm just excited! Now shh Hagakure, explain what you saw? Who is he with?"
"Okay okay; so I was sneaking around because I wanted to work on not being caught, and making sure that my steps are silent, you know how it is, but while I was walking around I heard voices and I followed it to see Kirishima kissing someone! He's dating Monoma" she had her hands on her cheeks, making her voice sound a little odd that was the only way that the girls knew that but the girls were shocked cause well... of course they were! How the hell was he with Monoma? Monoma hated class 1-A and everyone in it, didn't he? Why would Kirishima go and date him?
Mina puffs her cheek out a little, with a tiny frown asking "Are you sure? Why would they be with each other? I thought Monoma hated us" She was just very confused. All of the girls shrug but Momo smiles, putting her hands together looking around and she starts to say "Well I think it's nice that they are dating, as long as they are both happy, that is all that matters, right? I believe that Kirishima has looked happier lately, hasn't he?"
Asui nods smiling putting her finger to her cheek, like she did while thinking "He has. We should be happy for them but we can't say that we know, he would have told us if he wanted us to know they might be keeping it a secret for some reason, ribbit" Mina pouts crossing her arms not saying anything as the rest of the girls were talking. She was so confused on why they would date... Kirishima just seems to like loud blondes.
Kirishima was so excited! He and Monoma were going to tell the rest of the classes that they were with each other! Kirishima said he wanted to invite just some people, and Monoma would invite some of his friends to tell them and they knew that word would spread like wild fire.
It's been about a week since they decided it and he was so worried, but also really excited for it. He sent a message to ask Bakugou, Mina, Sero, and Denki to ask them to come to the cherry blossom trees; as that was where Monoma wanted to tell the others for some reason. Monoma said that he was inviting Tetsutetsu, Kendo, and Shinsou. They were both very nervous. Mostly Kirishima was excited but Monoma was the nervous one it felt like he would pass out! Kirishima was shifting and squirming in his seat, a big sharp toothed grin on his face he couldn't wait, this was gonna be awesome! He knew that the others noticed how he was acting, Denki and Sero whispering to each other and Aizawa noticed that Kirishima wasn't really paying attention, which annoyed him but oh well he didn't care right now.
When the class was finally over Kirishima stands up, stretching his arms above his head and looks over at the guys, turning to face them, starting to talk "Hey guys, I'll meet you at the trees! See you there!" he turns and runs out before they could answer him.
Bakugou shouting after him "Hey! What the fuck shitty hair? Why are you acting so weird lately?" he didn't expect to get an answer back he was just shouting. Mina was biting her bottom lip hard she can't believe this were they about to be told? She can't wait! She's been having such a hard time keeping everything a secret.
He runs out to get under the tree, panting softly and he smiles seeing Monoma standing under the tree, so he walks over rubbing his neck "Hey hun, I'm here" he leans over, pressing his lips against Monoma's cheek in a soft kiss and continues talking. "I got here as quickly as I could, I asked the others to get here... did you ask your people?"
Monoma looks up at Kirishima and smiles a little, nodding his head saying "I did, I'm sure word will spread, let's hope that they all react well if not, we can just ignore them" the other male nods still nervous. He didn't believe that his friends wouldn't be happy, though the more Monoma spoke about it, the more he started to get nervous about it. What if he did lose his friends because of who he's dating? They were his only friends! He needed them, he couldn't be alone again! No, he wouldn't be alone, they weren't going to leave him over something as small as him being with Monoma.
Monoma opens his mouth, starting to say something though a voice was heard "Monoma!" It was Tetsutetsu's voice who looks at Kirishima and gasps a little, then grins and holds up his hand as he says "Bro! What you doing here!?" Kirishima looks over and laughs, grinning as well and waves saying "We're waiting for the others to get here, then we'll explain" Shinsou and Kendo were there as well. Shinsou looked tired and walks over to the tree, leaning against it his eyes shut and Kendo tilts her head, frowning slightly starting to talk, mostly just to ask "Are you two alright?" both of them nod. Monoma was nervous though so he was fiddling with his fingers, still with that big grin on his face.
One thing that Kirishima learned was that sometimes Monoma would grin, even if he was sad or nervous and he started to learn to see how to spot the difference between a real happy smile, and a fake I'm nervous smile. Sero and Yuga did the same thing, it was sad, but All Might was always smiling too so it's a good sign! Kirishima tried to smile a lot too but knew when to drop it.
His eyes shoot over to look at the blonde and he nudges Monoma's hand with his own, lightly, just to show that he was there causing him to tense up, his eyes shooting down but he lets out a slow breath his smile getting more relaxed, and more real.
As they were waiting they were all just making small talk, other than Kirishima and Tetsutetsu, as they were loud so it was big talk! Monoma always found their talks to be amusing, even if at first he was mad.He believed that he used to be mad because he believed that Tetsutetsu should only have friends in 1-B, but then Kendo and Momo became friends and he was only a little bothered... and that's how he realized that he was jealous of them both, it was honestly really embarrassing.
Soon enough the others got there. Bakugou blinks seeing the other guys, making him groan tilting his head back and he says "Oh great, these weirdos what the hell is going on? Why are they here?" He didn't hate 1-B... more than he hated everyone else. Monoma annoyed him though, always acting like he was so much better! Nobody was better than him god dammit, he was the best.
Monoma looks over and laughs, putting his hands on his hips grinning as he starts to talk "Well well, look at this, 1-A students being the last ones here? I'm shocked you made us wait this long! I thought you guys were supposed to be first!" Denki and Sero roll their eyes at him, Bakugou narrowing his eyes with a little growl.
Kirishima looks between them, frowning and sighs shaking his head. He reaches over taking Monoma's hand into his own lacing their fingers together and he starts to say, his voice sounding stern "you two, stop it, we're not here for you two to fight or argue. We're here to tell you all something important"
The others perk up, mostly because they weren't used to Kirishima using his stern voice. Monoma pouts a little but nods his head pressing closer to Kirishima. Bakugou looks between the both of them and mumbles "Nooo" he groans again and pulls his fingers through his hair "You two are dating, aren't you?" How did he not realize? This is bullshit!
Denki and Tetsutetsu gasp, Shinsou just rolling his eyes... he already knew "Holy shit!" Denki grins and takes Kirishima's hand saying "dude that's awesome! How long have you two been together? Why didn't you tell us?"
That was a little shock to the couple, why did they seem so happy? Of course Kirishima knew that that was gonna happen! He grins laughing and looks over at Monoma, waiting for him to explain. The blonde looks away biting the inside of his cheek not too sure what to say, should he be honest? God dammit. He lets out a slow breath and chuckles rubbing his neck as he starts to explain "Well... You all are good friends of Kirishima and I had a feeling that... you would try to get him to break up with me because he could do better than me"
Kendo frowns hearing that and looks over at the others, her and Sero starting to talk to try to explain but Bakugou's voice cuts through, stopping them "Of course he could do better, but if he wants to date you then why the hell would we try to stop it? He likes you dumbass and as long as he's happy, we're happy. Just don't do anything stupid" Mina laughs, rolling her eyes and puts her arm around Bakugou's shoulders, adding "That's his way of saying he approves of you two, and I do too! I guess" she points to her eyes, then at Monoma in a way of saying I'm watching you.
The two boys look at each other, then their friends and they both start to laugh leaning against each other. They were both so nervous for nothing!? At least now they can kiss and hold hands without worrying! They could also go on dates Kirishima was so excited! He knew that he was gonna marry this guy but he was going to wait a while before asking they were still in school after all.
