Chapter Text
Mikasa quickly picked up, yet another, heavy box and sprinted to her new room at her new house. She and her family just moved into the Shiganshina district and is now settling in.
The black-haired girl climbed each step with ease, even though she was carrying two heavy boxes simultaneously. Finally, Mikasa reached the top of the steps and found her room — she opened the wooden door, which was painted in an ivory color, and slipped right in.
The room was nice; it was painted in a grayish white color and it was pretty spacious. Mikasa had already envisioned where she would put everything, her bed would go near the end of the wall, her desk would be placed near her bed, and all of her other furniture items would be placed in different places that matched her room. She quickly began setting everything in and perfecting her room. After two or so hours, she was finally done. Her room looked gothic — just as she liked it. The black-haired girl sat on her bed and pulled out her phone, she then searched up her new school on Google. She clicked the first link which was her school's official site. Mikasa was excited to go to her new school, but kind of nervous. She was the quiet girl at her last school, but known by everyone. She liked the quietness, she hated being loud but didn't mind other loud people. Mikasa usually read books during lunch, but this year she wanted to make a few friends, and maybe even a lover. Mikasa blushed at the thought of having a partner — she thought it would be impossible to even have one since she rarely spoke, but she hoped to have one this year.
While thinking of school, Mikasa thought of which outfit she would wear for her first day. She rushed out of her bed and into her closet, she opened the closet door and stepped inside. Mikasa's closet was nice, it was a small walk-in closet, but it had fit her clothes — which she thought was impossible since she had so many. The grey-eyed girl brushed her slim, dainty hands through each of her clothes; she finally found a top that she wanted to wear. It was a tight-black shirt that had sheer sleeves, Mikasa hoped that it wouldn't break any dress-codes.
After a few minutes of searching, she finally found a cute skirt and shoes that would surely match her top: the skirt was quite long, it ran up to her knees and it was plaid with red and black designs. Her shoes were gothic and Lolita-like, it had heels and was, of course, colored black. Mikasa quickly put the rest of her outfit on and glanced at her mirror, she looked gorgeous. Mikasa loved her outfit — this is what she was going to wear to school tomorrow. It would leave an impression on people.
A slight buzz pinged on Mikasa’s phone, it was her alarm. Mikasa soon sat upright on her bed and turned of the annoying sound-alarm. She sighed and rubbed her eyes, today was her big day. She giddily walked to her closet and grabbed her clothes. She quickly put it up and ran downstairs where she would be having breakfast.
Her mother had her hair tied up and was cooking something for breakfast. Mikasa found Bert way to the table and sat down, her bag was right next to her with everything she needed inside. Usually, Mikasa would be doing some workouts in the morning, but since today was her first day of school — she decided not to.
“Here, Mikasa,” her mom said as she gave Mikasa some breakfast.
Mikasa picked up a fork and began eating her pancakes and eggs — though she didn’t like eating breakfast, her mother’s food was always good so she didn’t resist.
Mikasa’s mother sat beside her and began eating her food too, she needed to be healthy since she was pregnant with a baby.
“Where’s dad?” Mikasa asked while stuffing her mouth with more food.
“He’s fixing up the garage right now, darling.” Mikasa’s mom answered.
A few minutes later, Mikasa was finished eating her breakfast. She was feeling a bit more anxious now. She got up to do the dishes but her mother quickly got up and did it for her, “You should be going to school now, Mikasa.” Her mother said while smiling and taking Mikasa’s empty plate.
Mikasa smiled and replied, “Yeah, I should be going now.. but I’m a bit nervous.” She said while eyeing her shoes.
Mikasa’s mom laughed quietly, “I’m sure it’s going to go great. It’s almost time though, you should head out now.”
Mikasa nodded while picking up her black designer bag, she swung it around her left shoulder and made her way to the front door.
