Once upon a time doesn’t feel quite right but…. I will tell you this story anyway. It is one of my favorites. I bet you want to know why. All in due time, my friends. By the way, I might make comments so I
hope you don’t mind. Let’s go for this journey !
It was a quiet evening on the island. Gray was getting ready for the ball. He was very nervous. For the last few months he had been courting the governor’s daughter. Evelyn was so beautiful and sweet.
She was the perfect woman. Tonight he would ask her hand to her father. In a few months she would be Mrs Gray Fullbuster. He smiled at his reflection. What could go wrong ?
Small laugh. What could go wrong ? I’ve got a few ideas. One clue : pirates !!
Gray smiled at Evelyn making her heart swoon. Her future husband was a very handsome man and a good catch. He wasn’t as rich as her but she didn’t mind.
Gray : I think now is a good time.
Evelyn : One last dance please *she pouted a little*
Gray : Anything for you *he grabbed her hand*
They were dancing gracefully when they heard a lot of noises. Men armed with muskets and swords barged in. They immediatly threatened the guests.
Gray : What the hell ?
Governor : Who are you, gentlemen ?
Pirate : Gentlemen ? I’ve never been one *he laughed*
Governor : What do you want ? You’re ruining my ball.
Pirate : What do we want ? Folks, what do we want ?
Other pirates : Gold !
They laughed and started to rob the jewels and the coins.
Governor : Stop that !
The pirate who seemed to be the leader aimed at him with his musket and shot.
Evelyn : Father !
The governor fell on the floor and his daughter ran to him.
Pirate : Look at that, a treasure *he grabbed her*
Gray : Evelyn !
Pirate : Don’t move pretty boy or I kill her.
Gray : Let go of her !
Evelyn : Gray !
Pirate : Enough with all the screaming.
With a sign of him two men knocked Gray out cold.
The next day
?: Sir, sir !
Gray groaned. His head was pounding.
?: Please don’t die on me.
He opened his eyes slowly.
?: Thank God !
Gray : What...What happened ?
?: You were unconscious, Sir.
He realized it was another guest from the ball. Everything came back to him. The pirates. Evelyn. The governor.
Gray : The governor and his daughter…
?: The governor is in a room upstairs. He’s wounded.
Gray : Evelyn ?
?: Gone.
Gray : What do you mean gone ?!
?: Abducted by the pirates.
Gray : Dear Lord *he grabbed his head*
?: Do you need anything ?
Gray : To see the governor. Help me up, please.
?: Here *he gave him a hand*
Governor’s room
He was laying on a bed with his chest bandaged. He was pale but at least he was alive.
Gray : Sir ?
Governor : *he opened his eyes* Who’s this ?
Gray : It’s Gray, Sir.
Governor : My daughter…
Gray : I’ll find her, I swear. I’ll do anything I can. Everything.
Be careful what you wish for, it could happen.
Governor : I have your word, Mister Fullbuster *he closed his eyes*
Gray left the house quickly. He needed a plan and fast ! Maybe he should start investigating in the harbor. The pirates could even still be there. He knew it was a long shot but still.
Juvia looked at the harbor. Boring little town. She much rather be on the sea but she was here for business. Her ship was hidden somewhere. She was a pirate after all. She had to remain low key. She
bumped into someone.
Juvia : Sorry *she kept walking*
Fate sometimes…
Gray looked at the strange woman. Her hair was uncommonly blue. Actually everything about her seemed to be blue except for her pale skin. There was something he couldn’t put his finger on. He
couldn’t explain either why he decided to follow her. He simply did. He lost her after a few streets and frowned. He was sure she turned this way after…
Juvia : *she pushed him against a wall a blade against his throat* Who are you and why are you following me ?
Gray : Wow !
Juvia : Answer me !
Gray : I’m Gray Fullbuster.
Juvia : What do you want ?
Gray : No harm to you.
Juvia : Good because I’m the one with the knife. Still doesn’t know why you’re following me.
Gray : I don’t know.
Juvia : Then you’re a creep *she let go of him*
Gray : What are you ?
Juvia : A human being ?
Gray : Sorry, I….I’m having a bad day.
Juvia : I don’t have time for this. Go find some whore *she walked away*
Gray : That’s not what I meant ! *he went after her* My fiancée was kidnapped.
Juvia : Sad but not my business.
Gray : Pirates took her away.
Juvia : *she stopped* Pirates you say ?
Gray : Yes.
Juvia : Who ?
