"I want to go home"

Summary:

Her eyes glinted with a mischievous gleam that Sakura knew meant no good. “But we all know fire man has nothing over our capitan. I mean, how would he win over that sinful smirk, blue eyes and a body of a greek God? After all, Sakura knows better than everyone what's behind that hoodie, isn’t that right forehead?”

Sakura choked on her drink, eyes watering and she coughed violently in an attempt to free her lungs from the liquid.

“You did that on purpose!”

Work Text:

It was common knowledge that your College years were supposed to be the best and most memorable in your life.

When she first started out as a freshman, Sakura had entered this with no such hopes. She held onto her firm belief that it was entirely up to oneself which years of your life would be the best, be it college, work, or even your late senior years.

Her good friend Ino had teased her, told her that this was the best time to finally let loose and get a taste of the sweetness life had to offer, but Sakura had merely snorted in return, reminding her friend that the sweetness that Ino had in mind was a cocktail made of handsome students and getting themselves drunk.

It wasn’t like she was a spoilsport, the pinkette occasionally joining her friends and having a good time to relax, but her priorities laid elsewhere.

While Ino was having the time of her life, jumping from party to party, Sakura decided to make use of her years at college and worked her way up, joining the student council and becoming one of the most respected students.

Teachers loved her, girls envied her for the way she seemingly got along with everyone and anyone while the boys watched her with curious eyes, wondering how to get on her good side.

On rare occasions, she would allow her blonde friend to drag her along, and this was exactly how the pinkette found herself in the current predicament.

When Sakura entered she didn’t know what to expect. All she knew was that today was her college's biggest party, spring break party, and that all the people were invited- be it the nerds, the cool kids and everyone in between.

This kind of thing wasn't really her thing, but she couldn't miss it, her two traitors of a best friend made sure about that.

She loved them, she really did, but Dabi and Ino would be the death of her. They brought up all the black mail in their arsenal to make her come to this shitty pub and even though the whole fiesta just started, people were already drunk out of their mind.

She could see Kiba hitting on an ornamental plant while Sasuke and Naruto were already shouting at each other for god knows what reason.

Well, things would never change with those two.

At this point Sakura wasn't sure what to do now, she was here, because Dabi “twisted“ her arm to come, and Ino got above and beyond on dressing her up.

The blonde did wonders with everything- from clothes to her make up and hair.

She wore a black mini dress that was tightly wrapped around her body, the fabric hugging her waist perfectly and the v neck showing everything in the right amount.

Sakura felt good, she never looked so good, her make up being simple yet on point while her hair was secured in a high ponytail.

Everything was where it was supposed to be and by the looks Sakura got, she was sure that everyone liked what they saw.

Now all she needed was something to drink and to find her best friend in the sea of people.

It couldn’t be so hard, considering that usually she could easily spot Dabi with that mop of black hair anywhere. All that would be needed was to look for a little bit but first something strong was necessary for her to survive the pierced man.

Don’t get her wrong. she loved him to bits, but that man could be a little bit too extra sometimes- like that one time on April First when he thought it would be a good prank to propose to her in the middle of the campus.

That mother fucker had everything prepared- flowers, a ring and even his stupid gang to back him up. It took her 3 weeks to clear out the misunderstanding and to explain to Tsunade that no, she was not going to marry him, even if the thought of marrying wasn't such a bad idea at all.

Dabi was a catch, 6 foot tall, big build with all muscles and sinful smirks. He was the captain of the football team, his blue eyes breaking hearts left and right and Sakura knew that she was a lucky girl.

Her boy was a dream for every girl on Campus, a perfect gentleman on the streets and a player in the sheets, but she knew more about her best friend than people thought.

She knew the real boy, the prankster with a heart of gold.

Her best friend was something else and she needed all the alcohol in this world to survive tonight, because knowing him he was going to do something big again, she could feel it in every fiber of her body.

With these thoughts in mind she made a beeline to the bar to get some vodka and to find her best friend because after all, she couldn't just drink alone.

The girl wasn’t really surprised when she found Ino at the bar flirting with Kirishima, one of the biggest pain in the ass from their campus.

The red haired boy was best friends with none other than Katuski Bakugo, Konoha UA biggest troublemaker, and Sakura’s biggest rival.

That man loved to riddle her feathers. He was a bully and Sakura loathed him most of the time.

For reasons unknown to her, Bakugo had a morbid obsession with fucking with her, and no matter how many times she thought about it, she just couldn’t understand why.

They knew each other from high school and from the very first day they met he picked on her. He had bullied her and tried to make fun of her friends, a sharp grin on his lips every time he caught sight of her that made a shiver run down her spine in a way she didn't like.

His eyes were focused on her like one would look at its prey, and she just couldn't understand what she did to make him hate her so much.

Whereas at first it did bother her, now she couldn’t care less. After all this time she was done with him and his childish behavior and she refused to pay anymore attention to the boy.

She would ignore everything if it came to him, student council or not. Six years with the blonde was more than enough for her and after she forced the blond out of her mind, Sakura moved to greet her friend.

Sakura glanced at the bar.

Ah yes, she really needed a drink to survive this night.

“Sakura, sweetheart, you know that frown doesn’t look good on your face” Kiri said, motioning with his hand to sit down on the empty chair next to him. “Why don't we drink something together tonight for old time sake?”

“I don’t even want to be here” She sharply returned, narrowing her brows. “What, by the way, is all your fault Ino-pig. You and Dabi are gonna be the death of me, first you forced me to be here, and after that you just disappeared. What great friends I have”

“Hey, hey billboard brow, it’s not my fault!” Ino swiftly returned, a brow arched. “Dabi said he is going to come with you, where is that man anyway?”

Sakura merely heaved a sigh in return, lips pressed together into an annoyed pout. “Fuck if I know, he’s probably searching for a new one night stand, you know -” Sakura voices cuts off into an yelp when Kirishima digs his fingers into her side.

“It's not nice when my little babydoll” Kiri started, a sharp grin on his lips as he leaned closer to her. “-is jealous over the wrong man. What do you think Bakugo would think about this?”

Upon hearing Kiri, Ino couldn't help the laugh that escaped her.

“And you think little sparkle man would be happy to see his best friend so close to our cherry girl?” The blonde challenged, brow arched in amusement as she looked at him. “If he were to see you right now, he would bite your head off. You know how explosive sparkles can be.”

Ino merely laughed, slim fingers brushing through her hair. She knew that all of that was making Sakura nervous, which was her very intention since no one believed her friend when she said that Dabi and her were just friends, everybody knows that there was always something between these two.

“Just a little.”

Sakura sighed, having swiftly figured out by now that Ino was up to something, which was most definitely not a good sign. She can survive Dabi, because they knew each other too well, but there was no way she could survive her two best friends ganging up on her together.

“Pig you know there is nothing between us. We are just good friends, is that so hard to believe?”

Kirishima watched the interaction between the girls with sharp eyes and he most certainly didn't like what he heard.

Sakura’s relationship with Dabi couldn't be just one of best friends, especially knowing their history together.

Dabi always chased away every boy that approached the woman and even he had a little spat with the black haired man.

Also, there was that time when Bakugo came back to their dorm, murmuring something about “that shitty extra that fucks up his plans to approach the pinkette”.

“Girl you can’t hide anything from me.” Ino huffed in amusement, a dangerous smirk on her lips. “You two so have something together! Last time he almost set Shisui on fire and all that poor man wanted was a coffee with you! Also,I know for sure that you also have the hots for the older Uchiha. Sasuke, was so done with you when you couldn’t stop talking about his curly hair and deep eyes, you were so whipped and Dabi wasn’t happy about that at all.”

By now Sakura wanted to bury herself into the ground, cheeks flushing in both embarrassment and anger as she looked at her friend in sheer disbelief.

“Ino!”

“And let’s not remember the time you couldn’t stop rambling about the red haired “bitch” that your man hooked up with last month.” Ino snorted. “You almost clawed her eyes out when she bumped into you to tell you to stay away from her man! That one was priceless forehead- I still can’t believe she thought Dabi would choose her over you!”

By now Ino was holding her tummy as she laughed, tears rolling down her face as all Sakura could do was watch her friend in disbelief.

Kirishima suddenly reached out to pull her backwards until she was seated on his lap, her dress indecently high on her tights. The pinkette had to swallow a gasp when his hands moved to her waist, fingers digging into her skin.

“Do you have a type, Sa-ku-ra?” Kiri asked, voice husky even though his words were laced with amusement. “If you like black hair, I can go back to my natural colour. If you choose me, know that I can make you the happiest woman alive- just give me a chance and let me show you what I can do.’

Sakura clenched her jaw as she felt his hold on her tightening, irritation flaring up but before she could open her mouth to give him a piece of her mind, Ino beat it to her.

“You're playing a dangerous game, sharky” Ino said, playing with her cocktail. “You don't know what her watch dogs can do. Dabi could skin you alive, and I’m pretty sure Bakugo wouldn't be too happy to see his best friend hitting on the woman he tried to catch for years.”

“Everything is fair in love and war.” Kiri returned with a sharp smile, a hand pressed into her lower back. A hiss escaped her lips when she was forced forwards, breasts mashing into his chest and when she looked up at him with narrowed eyes, he merely offered her a grin in return. “After all, everyone knows that I like pinky.”

“Not everyone.” Ino chuckled in return. “Careful boy, don't forget that you are in public. It would be a loss if someone were to mess up that pretty face of yours tonight.”

Kiri let out a small chuckle at that, clearly not concerned about Ino’s warning.

“They can try all they want.” Kiri said as he nuzzled Sakura’s cheek, her smell clouding his senses and driving him crazy. “I’m simply here to have some fun and no one can stop me.”

“Calm down rock brain.” Sakura growled, hands lifting to push against his chest to put some distance between them. “You better let me go because I'm not in the mood for your games right now. Also, I really hope that thing that touches my ass right now is your phone, or God help me I’m gonna mess up that pretty face of yours myself.”

Kiri merely tilted his head aside, eyes glowing as he looked at her with his lips curled upwards into a smirk.

“Aww, Sakura, you think I’m pretty?” He cooed, wiggling his brows as he pulled her closer once more. “But baby girl, I prefer to be called handsome. Pretty is for small feisty little girls like you.”

He was getting closer, face now only inches away in a way that sent a shiver down her spine and the pinkette’s frown only deepened as she pushed harder against him.

“Kirishima, I swear to god I'm going to blow your head off your shoulders if you won't let me down-’

All of sudden, the space between them disappeared. Sakura felt an arm sneak around her waist, the familiar smell of rain and hot amber filling her senses.

Her head snapped up to see Dabi holding her in his arms, lips curled upwards into a snarl as he glared down at the red head.

“You know, it's not nice to touch other peoples properties, now fuck off shit face.”

Sakura tensed as Kirishima’s face darkened and she felt Dabi’s hold on her tighten possessively but before Kiri could reply, someone beat him to it.

“That's sweet coming from you, fucking extra. You behave like she is yours, but we all know that’s not true.”

Sakura stiffened in Dabis' arms as her eyes caught sight of none other than Bakugo himself, who looked anything but amused.

His expression was deadly, jaw clenched and Sakura knew that if this were to go on, things would end badly.

“You two are just friends and no matter how much you want to change it, it will always stay that way.”

Sakura could feel a headache forming behind her skull, unable to believe that this was happening.

All she wanted was some alcohol and to dance, maybe feel good a little, not this.

She could tell that Dabi was up to something, but she didn’t expect Bakugo and Kirishima here.

Whatever it was that was going on had to stop and when she felt the brush of a familiar hand against her backside, Sakura felt her brow twitch in annoyance.

“Dabi.” She growled his name in warning, eyes narrowing into dangerous slits as she felt the male next to her tense in alarm. “I love you more than anything in this world, but if you won't take your hand off my ass, I’m going to make sure you can’t hook up with anyone ever again.”

Her eyes then snapped back to a now smirking blond, emerald eyes burning with anger as she jabbed her finger into his chest. “I have 99 problems and you telling others what to do certainly isn't one so mind your own business!”

Ah yes, that man really loved to ruffle her feathers.

All he could think about as he watched her was how pretty she looked when she was angry, the dangerous glow her eyes held mesmerizing.

If it weren't for that damned best friend of hers, he would have been able to approach her earlier already, but Dabi was always there to fuck up with him and that was something he most likely didn't appreciate.

“Calm down kitty cat.” Bakugo growled in return, eyes sparking at the challenge she presented and when he saw her eyes brighten, his lips curled upwards into a smirk. “You know what that angry face does to me. Wouldn't want to be jumped in the middle of the party, would you?”

Sakura’s mouth dropped in disbelief at his bluntness, the teasing glint his eyes held, telling her that it was another attempt of his to rile her up. Bakugo was a lot of things, but if there was something she was more than sure of was that most of all, he loved a challenge.

And he would use every means to win it.

“This night is legendary!” Ino announced with a laugh, successfully breaking the tension and catching their attention. “I knew that I wouldn't be bored with you here Sakura, you always make things interesting around here.”

Dabi suddenly pulled Sakura even closer against him and before she knew he had his hand hooked under her ass. The pinkett's eyes widened as he lifted the girl up, her leg automatically wrapping themselves around his body to steady herself. Her breasts were pressed flat against his chest, his face buried in her neck as he felt her tense at the sudden action.

He knew all her places, and if he knew one thing best, then it was how to handle the woman better than anyone here.

Dabi then lifted his head, smirking at the boys from over her shoulder.

He could practically see the veins popping on Bakugo’s neck, a warning growl escaping his mouth. It was like they were wild animals fighting for the same prey, but unfortunately for the blond Dabi had an advantage.

Sakura trusted him the most.

Sakura squirmed in his hold, a groan of disbelief passing her lips as she lightly swatted his shoulder.

“Dabi, put me down.” Sakura demanded, brows knitted together as she pulled back to look at him. “I don't need rumors to start again or even worse, another of your lovers to come and fight me for the rights on your bed.”

She laughed then, at the mental image, one she was familiar with but found amusing nonetheless. She knew why Dabi was doing this, and if one could use their best friend to make others jealous then hey, why not?

“You have the worst taste in men, Sa-ku-ra.” She suddenly heard Bakugo growl from behind her and not even a second later she felt him right behind her. “Just give me one night so that I can change your world, kitty cat. You know you want it.”

“Why don’t you let the girl choose what she wants? Let her breathe, she is grown enough to make her own decisions. Tell me doll, what would you like to do tonight?”

Sakura tensed as she heard the new voice enter the scene, her hold on Dabi tightening and when her eyes snapped to the right to see the familiar form of no other than Shisui Uchiha, she felt her world come to an abrupt halt.

Oh hell no.

Too much was too much.

Sakura’s fingers dug into Dabi’s shoulder as she buried her face into his neck, sheer disbelief and frustration filling her and when she spoke her next words, she made sure that they were loud enough for everyone to hear.

“I want to go home!”
