Eren, Mikasa and Armin.
That's how it was always since they were eight when they met.
They were, are and will always be inseparable.
Kids were always jealous from them because somehow they completed each other and no one had a friendship like that.
Their friendship could be described like a human body!
You see Armin in the brain coming up with different ideas and solutions plus being the smartest of them, Mikasa was the body or the muscles she always ALWAYS kept away the bullies from her two friends since she knew how to fight and defend herself while Eren was the soul the fire that moves the body the reason that connects the body with the brain and the reason why they work together.
To get him out of trouble of course.
Eren was a trouble maker but that didn't seem to bother his friends at all they would always work to get him out of it because in the end he's the soul, the fire, he's what keeps them connected.
The three of them would always talk about their dreams while laying on the grass next to the tree sometimes the sun would burn their eyes but that doesn't stop them from looking up and talking about the different shapes of clouds.
And the other times the stars would shine so bright and they would end up talking about them and how pretty they look and then proceed to count them.
It was always like this and it kept going like this for years until it was about time they started to get the marks.
This is all what's known about the marks so far:
1) It's not proven how yet but people start getting marks on their body whenever they fall in love but these marks only appear when you turn 18
2) The marks could appear anywhere.
3) They differ in size and color depending on how much you love this person.
4) These marks come when you love someone and go as soon as you get a broken heart or when you leave each other or when you fall out of this love.
5) If you found the exact same mark on your partner then this is your lucky day because the ones who get matching marks are destined to be together.
But there are cases that get together even though they don't have the exact same mark and have a happy life they sure get the same one later, so there is no need to get scared if you didn't find the one with the mark.
Yet it's a big deal.
And how did that affect the three inseparable friends well since they started high school people were positive that someone will catch feelings for another, marks will appear and they won't be able to hide it and yes they even made a whole scenario so they would always tell them there are three options:
One: whoever catches feelings confess but the other doesn't return the same feeling and because things will be awkward and nothing will be the same again so boom friendship ruined forever.
Option number two and this one is Eren's favorite because it has so much drama so option two: someone catches feelings, confesses, the other return the feelings so they start dating and things continue to be amazing right. NO WRONG so there are good days and bad days and most couples fight right, but to them when they start fighting they never stop like they're a couple who were married for fifty years and can't stand each other anymore so yeah lots and lots of fighting, break up, nothing the same again blah blah blah
Option number three which in Armin's thought is so far the worst even than the two other options: the three of them get into a love triangle and you can see why it was the worst option
The three friends heard these things way too many times but each time had a different detail sometimes cheating sometimes they get tired of each other it's like they have no life and nothing to do but to think of ways to ruin their friendship.
Even though they hear it a lot but they keep listening carefully so they would tell each other about it later and laugh about it.
One day they were laying on their usual spot Armin was telling them about another theory Connie came up with when Eren got up quickly causing Mikasa and Armin to turn at his sudden movement
"Let's make a promise now that we won't give them any of that, that no one will ever catch feelings for any of us" Eren turned around stretching his arm waiting for his friends to place their hand above of his, Armin immediately puts his hand above Eren's and they both turn looking at Mikasa who took her a minute but she joined them placing her hand above theirs.
And why it took her a minute well because Mikasa Ackerman was already falling in love with Eren Jeager.
Let's rewind to where everything started.
So Mikasa met Eren on very unfortunate events she just had a car accident with her parents but her parents had the most damage as the car hit them from the front she was left with few cuts and bruises she was staying in a room alone waiting to hear whatever fate her parents will have until a doctor came in asking if he can call someone she knew and now Mikasa knows exactly what happened to her parents she knew she lost them.
She stayed silent not talking at all and not responding to anyone until a little boy around her age opened the door and sat beside her he kept talking about the most random things and somehow she found herself talking back to him it was nice to take her mind off of what happened and she even forgot that she was in the hospital for a minute until her uncle Levi came in (he's like a second cousin but she calls him uncle) she left with him but since that day she became friends with Eren Jeager who later introduced her to Armin Arlert.
As the days and years passed Mikasa grew attached to Eren ever since he helped her that day.
And she made sure to be there for him and help him whenever he needed her.
Mikasa didn't realize that she loves Eren not until she started having gathering with the girls and they talked about their crushs and boyfriends describing how they felt towards them and that's when she realized she has been feeling this way towards Eren for a while but she couldn't even lable it or try to talk about it because it was weird.
And now when she knew what it is she swore to herself that she'll NEVER speak of it.
And how she reacts to it in a way Armin called it stupid later, she avoids Eren.
But only for a week because her plan didn't work and she didn't expect it to anyways.
She kept telling the weirdest excuses to not hang out at Eren's house as they usually do after school and other excuses to not go to their usual spot by the tree, she stopped hanging out with Eren and Armin for a week and her excuses varied from "I am sick" to "Levi wants me to clean the bathroom".
Armin on the other hand knows both of his friends like the back of his hand and he was sure that there was something wrong with Mikasa
Especially when he cought her tearing up to the sight of Eren walking with a girl hand in hand
And Armin being the sweet friend he was even when Mikasa avoided him and Eren for a week he knew immediately what was wrong with Mikasa so he hugged her to comfort her, he walked home with her that day and she told him all about how she realized she loves her childhood friend, and with the help of Armin Mikasa went back to hanging out with her friends and it was normal again well kind of.
It was a little hard for Mikasa to see Eren having so many girls going after him but she can't blame them, he was the captain of the volleyball team and the ace, he was tall and his body was fit so sure he'll have fan girls and many MANY love letters.
Mikasa was always in the shadows even though she swore to never speak of her feelings she couldn't shake them away but she tried she tried so hard but it was all for nothing, she can't push this feeling away not when she spends almost all her time with him, not when he talks so fondly about volleyball or the new metal album that was released or the new anime that will air, not when he always lifted her mood or Armin's mood up and made sure they're both happy, not with his silly jokes, not with his dedication, not when he's growing older becoming taller and growing his hair, not when he's being Eren Jeager.
It was hard so so hard.
And she had to be there in the shadow when he meets a girl he likes, when he goes on many dates with her, when he shares a kiss with her, when she goes by to his house and see her coming out of his house with him.
All what Mikasa could do is put a smile which probably looked fake and support her friend and be happy for him because well that's what she promised herself she would do she'd always be there for him even if it broke her heart.
But she has to be there for him.
And when he experiences heart break it's even worse for Mikasa, she has to see him sad, broken. She has to hear him doubt himself and what he did. It doesn't happen every break up it only happened two times one time after he broke up with Mina he was with her for six months but she left him for someone else and the second time well he got cheated on and let's say it was the worst time for Eren with lots of sleep and crying so they don't talk about it anymore.
It was 11:50 pm on the 8th of February Mikasa locked herself in the bathroom anxiety taking over her body as she waits for the stinging of the new marks that will form on her body she started to slowly take her clothes off so she could see it as soon as it appears as she waits in front of the mirror there was a knock on the door
"Yes uncle Levi" Mikasa shouted from inside of the bathroom
"Are you ok in there kid?"
"Yeah I will take a shower"
"Ok you know if you need to talk I am here for you ok?"
Levi had known Mikasa for a very long time to know that she was very anxious due to her marks, he knew Mikasa for a long time to know that she was in love with her best friend and she hated herself for it but he couldn't say anything to her because he wasn't one of her parents, he wasn't her friend and he felt he would be invading her life and he didn't want that so he only made sure to check up on her without annoying her
"I know uncle Levi thank you"
And by that Levi left Mikasa to her thoughts in the bathroom
As she told Levi she decided to take a shower and as the warm water was hitting her body and making her muscles relax she started feeling the stings on her back, she quickly finished showering and looked at her back
Mikasa was surprised of how beautiful it looked it was wings that took her whole back and even extended to her arms it looked breathtaking, it was big and very dark
It was very beautiful
Her love for Eren was very beautiful
She dried off quickly and went to her room to see that her phone was vibrating a lot and as soon as she went online Eren was quickly to make a group video call so Mikasa answered
"Happy birthday" Eren and Armin screamed at the screen so Mikasa laughed
"Thank you guys"
"Soo tell me did you get a mark? How big is it? Where is it?"
"Oii Eren calm down" Armin chuckled and Mikasa didn't know whether she could tell them or not she was going to tell Armin and Sasha but could she tell Eren, he doesn't even know she has a crush on a boy let alone love someone and that someone was him
"No I didn't get any marks" She decided it was best if she lied to Eren now she didn't want to get asked more questions and she'll probably have to cover up even more now and be careful until her love fades
if it ever fades
And so Eren changed the subject and started talking about what the three of them should do for Mikasa
And so after Eren ended the call Armin took the chance to finally ask Mikasa about it
"Is it ok if I saw it?" Mikasa nodded shyly before she set the phone down and turned her back to the camera to take her shirt off Armin got flustered from his friend because he never thought she would strip down in front of him even if it was on the screen but as soon as he saw the wings that were drawn on her his mind was blown away the way it moved from her back to her arms was amazing
After a minute Mikasa put on her shirt again before she faced her friend
"It's amazing Mikasa, are you planning to tell Eren you know he might see it sooner or later"
"No I won't tell him, please Armin don't tell him please"
"Sure Mikasa I won't but if he got the exact same marks next month you'll have to tell him or I'll do it"
"Guys you would never guess what just happened" Eren said blasting into Mikasa's room when the latter was with Armin trying to study for the upcoming midterm
"What happened?" Armin said putting his pen on the page he was revising with Mikasa, Mikasa turned her head towards Eren half expecting what he's about to say
"Hitch asked me out!! The Hitch I have had a crush on since our first year" Mikasa couldn't care less about how Annie set them both up because all she could think about that in four days when it's Eren's birthday how will he get marked by his love for Hitch instead of his love for her and how will he show it off to everyone proud of it because this is Eren, he makes sure that whoever he loves knows it this is how he was since he was a child and that's another thing she loved about Eren
The sound of another tiny piece of her heart getting broken was a sound Mikasa was so used to hear and she was so used to the pain that came after, the stinging in her heart, the unsettling feeling in her stomach, the lack of air in her lungs
Mikasa was so used to these feelings she's been living with them for a while and despite that her love for Eren never got less in fact each day Mikasa would notice a slight change in her mark it was growing bigger and darker
And as expected on the 29th of March when the clock hit 12 am announcing the new day Eren showed his best friends the bird mark that appeared in his right forearm declaring his love for Hitch it was a cute dove that appears to be spreading his wings to fly Eren looked it up and told them that doves mean loves so he and Hitch are meant to be and so he was waiting for her mark to show
And this broke a bigger piece of Mikasa's heart
Because Eren followed that sentence with Hitch is the one for him and he knows they're meant to be and he didn't even care about her mark he just knows that she's for him and he's for her
Mikasa was in her room she had just finished working out and decided to go on her phone before she took a shower she saw many texts from Armin telling her to go check up on Eren immediately because he was helping his grandpa and couldn't leave
Mikasa was confused there were no texts from Eren or on their group chat to why would Armin be that worried
She was about to text Armin before calling Eren but there was a knock on her door
"Mikasa can I come in?" Eren said from the other side of the door so Mikasa grabbed the hoddie that was on the bed and put it on quickly to hide her mark before she opened the door
it was no surprise that Eren could get in after all they have been friends since forever so they treated the other's house like it was their own
Eren was standing facing the door head low and as soon as Mikasa opened the door he hugged her, his head on her shoulder and his arms around her body, his body started to shake and she heard sniffing and felt wet tears on her shoulder
Eren was crying
Mikasa quickly wrapped her arms around the boy's body drawing circles with one hand on his back to comfort him
A tiny piece of her heart broke when she heard his sobs
After few minutes Eren calmed down and they both sat on the bed, Eren's head was low and the worry was eating on Mikasa so she slowly went to put her hand on his, looking into his red puffy eyes as he looked up at her
"What's wrong Eren?" Her voice was calm and soothing to Eren he let out a heavy sigh before he answered her question
"Hitch and Marlow are soulmates she has the same mark as him and apparently she loved him for a long time I was just an idiot in the middle of this I even had a mark for her I am a fucking idiot"
"Hey Eren don't be so hard on yourself it's ok, you will find someone better"
"And what if I didn't Mikasa, why would they be willing to go out with me if they would cheat on me or leave me for this stupid mark, why do I have to always get hurt Mikasa?"
"Life isn't always fair Eren, you get hurt but you move on and I'll be with you until you do just like last times and I am sure you will find another one to love you as much as you love her or even more"
"Thank you Mikasa I don't know what I did to deserve you, you help me every time thank you" Eren pulled Mikasa into a hug to which Mikasa gladly returned moving her hand through his hair a movement that comforted Eren
"It's what friends do Eren"
"How can I pay you back since you're still not planning to get your heart broken soon so I can comfort you"
Mikasa forced a smile despite how it hurt to hear that because only if Eren knew that she has been getting her heart broken for a long time now that she's used to it
"How about next time we go out pay for my food"
"Deal" Eren smiled at Mikasa and she only returned the smile at him
"Mika can I spend the night here?"
"Of course only if you're ok with Levi's comments" and her comment earned a chuckle from Eren which made her heart skip a beat
"I love Levi I can deal with him"
"Ok I'll just go take a shower because I just finished working out"
"Ok I'll change quickly then my clothes are still in their place right?"
"Yeah in the second drawer like always" Mikasa said putting her towel over her shoulder as she walled to the bathroom
Once Mikasa was alone in the bathroom she let out a sigh getting rid of all the air that she didn't know was suffocating her so much
And once the water was running down from her hair to her feet her tears were disappearing along with the water that came down her face cleaning her eyes as well as her body
Once she got out of the shower and went to her room Eren was already in more comfortable clothes and in her bed with the blanket around him and her laptop on his lap, his hair was let loose and it made Mikasa's heart beat so damn fast and so loud she thought Eren could hear it
Eren doesn't usually let his hair down it's always in a low bun so seeing him like that wasn't so usual and it made Mikasa's poor heart so weak
"Hey Mikasa there is this new anime Reiner told me about, how about we watch it we can get Armin on discord too"
"Sure but after I make dinner it's my turn to make it today since Levi will be late at work today"
"Ok let's go then I will help you"
Times like these Mikasa appreciated the most and made her hate her feelings so much
These were simple moments her and Eren in the kitchen cooking, having small talks, Eren asking for help on what to do in the next step and cracking jokes every now and then and Mikasa laughing at them or making fun of them if they were too bad
So that's why times like these make Mikasa hate herself so much because she had to catch feelings for Eren and that might eventually end their friendship just like what everyone says
She had to let herself be that friend that everyone was making scenarios about
Few weeks later it was Armin who got a girlfriend this time and his friends couldn't be happier for him they knew that Armin always had a crush on Annie even if he didn't admit it himself but it was obvious to everyone whenever the two were in the same room and how Annie would turn so soft with him which was so unlike her so you get why it was obvious
The trio decided to have a gathering with all their friends they started doing that a lot since it was last year of highschool and it will be hard for them to gather as much anymore and luckily Reiner, Annie and Bertholdt could make it this time
Mikasa has been feeling very well recently mainly because Eren hasn't been with a new girl again so things have been quite which was great for Mikasa and now she was hanging out with all her friends which was even better that was until Connie's proposal
"I have a spicy game we could play I'll make someone choose between two people from this room for who he would prefer to date and we'd take turns to ask for example Sasha who would you pick between me and Jean?"
"what you're both my best friends don't make me choose"
"It's just a game Sasha so who would you prefer to date?"
"Connie this is silly don't make her...." Jean was interrupted by Sasha's answer
"I am sorry Jean I'd pick Connie because he's more fun"
"Fuck yeah I am her favorite"
"what the fuck Sasha"
that made everyone burst into laughter especially when Jean started yelling at his friends and Connie and Sasha ignoring him and pretending to be a couple, the round kept going between the teenage friends and each round made them laugh even harder that was until it was Reiner's turn to ask Eren and of course it was obvious who will he make him choose between
"so Eren if you had to make one of these theories true who would you pick Armin or Mikasa?"
Mikasa froze when she heard the question scared of what Eren's answer would be, she felt her body get colder from the anxiety and her heart beating so fast but it stopped as soon as she heard Eren's quick answer
"Armin of course I would never pick Mikasa"
and just with these simple words Mikasa's heart sank everyone chuckling but for Mikasa it was like her world fell apart Armin immediately looked at his friend with worry on his face
"never?" Mikasa didn't even feel the word escaping her mouth but apparently it did grapping everyone's attention with her low broken voice
"what makes you say never am I this bad Eren?" silence filled the room that was once filled with laughter Eren's eyes widened but he remained silent not knowing exactly what to say
And it stayed like this for few moment and with each moment passing Mikasa could feel her heart breaking into bigger pieces this time and louder she felt a kind of pain she never felt before she felt like it has been forever since this silence started and as it continued she could only hear Eren's voice saying the words that finally broke her
Mikasa then got up running away to her house and ignoring all the cries of her name that called for her
Mikasa hated everyone now and she hated herself the most
She reached her home quickly and went straight to her room ignoring the welcome back that Levi told her to take off her little jacket that was covering her mark only for it to be as bold and big as ever
"why don't you go away I hate you" Mikasa yelled at her tattoo as the tears streamed down her face
"Mikasa are you ok?" Levi slowly opened the door to reveal a crying Mikasa it remined him of when he found her in her room three days after he took her from the hospital and the realization of having to live without her parents hit her and it broke his heart to see the strong Mikasa he had always knew broken like that
And he knew who was the reason for it
so he walked slowly to her and pulled her into a hug letting her sob loudly into his shoulder while he tried to comfort her
"being in love sucks kid I am sorry"
But Mikasa didn't say a thing she only continued to sob into Levi's shoulder with her hands holding the fabric of his shirt tighter and Levi trying his best to comfort her
After few moments of comforting Mikasa she finally stopped crying now sitting on the bed next to Levi head on his shoulder while he stared into the floor not knowing what to say and how to act but he can't stay like this he had to act like a parent
"Hey Mikasa I know I am not your mother or your father but you know you can always talk to me and count on me right? I know what you're in right now is because of Eren you don't have to tell me but I am sure if you showed him the wings and told him what you feel he'll return his feelings you don't have to sit and suffer each time he gets a girlfriend and if he didn't like you then fuck him you can do better"
Mikasa chuckled tears started to stream on her face again "but he said he will never be with me, it's like I don't deserve his love at all but I never did anything to him uncle Levi I.. I was always with him by his side in the bad and the good times but what I got to him is I would never pick Mikasa, I am such a fucking idiot uncle Levi"
"No kid you're just in love, even though I doubt that dumbass Jeager meant it but I'd say give yourself a break from him and from everyone maybe we can go to Kenny's cabin for a week what do you say?"
"I don't know I just want to sleep now uncle Levi"
"Ok kid as you like I'll go make your favorite dinner and we'll watch movies tonight ok I am not taking a no for an answer"
"Ok uncle Levi" Mikasa smiled at Levi she was happy and a little revealed after that talk with him
"Keep smiling kid it suits you better"
"Thank you uncle Levi"
Mikasa was so tired from the day from the crying from herself and her stupid feelings she wanted to shut down the whole world and sleep forever but as she was about to do it her phone rang she was scared to see Eren's name but instead she found Armin's she took a deep breath hoping that it was actually Armin as she picked up
"Hey Mikasa" revealed to hear her friend's voice instead of Eren and still a little sad that he didn't try to apologise yet maybe he doesn't really like her maybe she is just a friend who he turns to when he needs and that's it maybe she doesn't mean anything to him
but even if he called Mikasa wasn't ready to talk to him because what would she say how will she explain why she acted like that
"Hey Armin" she tried to hide the shaking in her voice
"h..how are you feeling?" Mikasa thought it was a stupid thing to ask and probably so did Armin but he had to ask anyway
"Not good"
"Do you want me to come over?"
"Thank you Armin but I just want to sleep now"
"Ok Mikasa as you like I'll call you later and if you want anything call me"
"Thank you Armin"
And so Mikasa turned off her phone for a little before she went to sleep trying to block the sentence that kept replying in her head until she drifted to sleep
Later that day Levi woke Mikasa up to have dinner with him, she was surprised to see that Erwin and Hange were joining them as well watching movies after taking her mind off of what happened earlier this day
Mikasa kept smiling and laughing at Hange's words especially when she picks up on Levi and Levi didn't mind it at all this day because all he wanted was to see Mikasa's smile and hear her laugh and that's what he got
It was late at night probably past two am Hange had passed out on the couch and Erwin slept on the chair leaving Levi and Mikasa the only ones awake
It was already too late so Levi got up and put more blankets on Hange and Erwin
"Hey uncle Levi"
"Yeah Mikasa?"
"About staying in grandpa Kenny's cabin can we still go?"
After Mikasa everyone was dead silent
"What just happened?"
"You see Bert Eren fucked up"
"Hey you were the one who asked the question" Eren raised his voice face red from anger and disappointment in himself
"why the fuck did you word it like that you asshole you hurt her" Jean tried to contain his anger when he talked with Eren but looks like Sasha won't
"Eren you better apologise to her now"
"I will i will apologize it's Mikasa after all"
Eren got up running out of the door hoping to catch Mikasa and there she was walking alone he was about to call her name to stop her but he stopped what will he say how will he explain it
He can't tell her the truth it was his little secret after all the way he always talked about any girlfriend he had or the way he bragged about the mark he got from Hitch it was all to hide the fact that he was market by Mikasa Ackerman he kept it a secret from everyone from Armin and even from himself he tried to deny it
and what he let out his true feelings it could just be a misunderstanding Mikasa could have just left out angry because she thought Mikasa appreciated her more as a friend and nothing more and Eren could ruin everything
Eren was really about to call her name but his thoughts had won over him and he stopped himself he spent the rest of his day on his bed staring at the ceiling his drowning in his thoughts pushing everyone away
It was late the same night Eren couldn't sleep his brain and thoughts kept him awake he refused to eat due to his lost appetite and was laying on the bed in his dark room it was calm and the moon was giving him enough light to be able to see the door being open
"Mom I told you I don't want to eat" Eren turned away burring his face on the pillow
"Eren we need to talk" Eren sat on his bed when he heard Armin's voice who took a seat next to his friend
"You didn't talk to Mikasa right?" Eren turned his face away shaking it slowly and heard Armin sigh
"Eren why did you hurt Mikasa like that?"
"Armin you know I never meant to hurt her i just didn't know that it will affect her that much"
"If these words were directed towards me I would have been offeneded like her I thought you cared about Mikasa like she cares about you"
"Of course Armin of course I care about Mikasa"
"Then apologize Eren and tell her the truth"
"the truth?"
"Yeah or are you planning on playing around like you do because Mikasa won't be waiting for you all her life"
"no wait I don't like Mikasa like that what are you talking about"
"Really? If you say so then I'll go tell her about this boy in my class who has a crush on her maybe she wi-"
"no" it came out as a whisper more than a word but Armin heard it and smirked
"what did you say Eren?"
"Don't... don't tell her"
"And why is that can't Mikasa have a relationship like everyone who are you to say what she can or can not do"
"Because I love her ok" Eren didn't feel himself yell until he said those words and then he felt like a burden was lifted from him "I..I love her Armin and I even got a mark for her"
"Go talk to her Eren tomorrow she's leaving for few days talk to her before that"
"Ok I will thank you Armin"
Eren got up at 8 am he took a shower and got dressed ignoring his loud heart beats and thoughts fearing that they might make him stay and mess things up more
He walked towards Mikasa's home which wasn't very far away remembering the sentences he stayed up all night to prepare for
First he'll apologise then he'll tell her about his feelings with no care if he got rejected and if she rejected him he will move on tell her it's ok and continue being friends with her but if she liked him back...
If she liked him back what will he do
No no I won't think about that now
Eren was now at Mikasa's door step he took a deep breath before knocking on the door
After the second knock Levi opened the door the moment Levi saw him he leaned on the door frame and raised an eyebrow
"What do you want Yeager?"
"I came to fix things with Mikasa can I come inside"
"I told you to not hurt her and look at what you did"
"I..I know I am sorry please let me talk to her I won't hurt her again I swear" Levi let out a sigh as he opened the door
"She's in her room probably changing so knock first and don't fuck up Eren she really cares about you"
"I know I won't because I care about her too"
With each step he took Eren heart beat louder and faster until he was there standing in front of her door he probably stood way too long thinking if this was ok if he should knock or not because the door swang open revealing a very surprised Mikasa and the moment Eren saw her he stopped breathing and felt a stinging on his cheeks
This moment he forgot everything he has prepared the day before but he tried to gather his ability to speak so he won't stay standing there
"Hey" Eren wasn't met with a response but he kind of expected it
"Can we talk?" silence again but this time Mikasa moved allowing Eren to come inside
Eren stood waiting for her to close the door and turn around and when she did he started talking
"I am sorry I...I shouldn't have said it this way or at all I am sorry" Mikasa smiled a small smile which surprised Eren
"It's ok Eren"

Eren smiled at her request and nodded he took a step back lifting up his shirt and turning his back to her Mikasa gasped when she saw his wings

Gently Mikasa brushed her fingers through Eren's mark sending shivers down his spine Mikasa took a deep breath and took off her shirt too she turned around and called for Eren to look and when he did he was surprised she had the same mark as him
"M..Mikasa?" Mikasa turned around putting her shirt on again
"I love you too Eren I always loved you" Mikasa's smile was wide the tears were escaping her eyes but they were different this time they were happy tears
Eren found tears forming in his eyes as well and he let them out he was smiling so wide he felt stinging in his cheeks he cupped Mikasa's cheeks and rested his forehead on hers he felt Mikasa's hand on his slowly Eren closed the distance between him and Mikasa finally feeling her soft lips on his in a short sweet kiss

"Mikasa will you be my girlfriend now?"
"Yeah looks like it just put on your shirt first"
"Oh shit sorry" Mikasa chuckled as Eren put his shirt on with a red face
