   “When it cannot live without it, a parasite does anything to protect its host. My dear Cassandra, there is no giving it up. Your body must become irreversibly damaged in order for me to take the stone and I can't touch you.” With a question on her lips, Cass caught the girl's eyes flick over her shoulder before an enthusiastic smile pulled the corners of her ghostly mouth.
