"Park Jimin you've got to be fucking kidding me!" You spoke angrily, voice pitched higher than normal.
"But I am not." His eyes two moon crescents accompaining a smug smile. A way he looked when he was oozing of mischief. "And you have no choice but to be here."
"Or I could kill you this instant so no one would be shoving all of this down my throat anymore!" You got up to chase after him, earning a squeal followed by a giggle from him as he slipped out of your reach.
"Don't act like you're not thanking me for being the best best friend in the world internally."
You threw yourself back on your bed, anxiety already bubbling up in your stomach from the mere thought. "Trust me, I'm not."
"Y/N," He said sternly, face now more serious. "You've liked the dude ever since first year, you can't just keep dodging every chance of actually speaking with him forever."
You exhaled a long sigh, burrying your face in your two palms. "Its easier said than done, Jimin."
"What are you so afraid of, huh?" He looked at you as he was now laying next to you. His gaze softer now. "Getting rejected?"
You turned your head to his direction slowly, taking your bottom lips between your teeth. "That. And so many other things."
"Any guy In this world would die to have you, Y/N." He spoke so softly you could barely hear him. "You've got to give yourself more credit. And maybe put all of your other trust issues aside for a bit."
You looked up to look him in the eye. "Doesn't sound like I have much choice, does it?"
It took him a minute to search your face for confirmation before he jumped off the bed at a physically impossible speed. "Yay!! The last thing we have to do now is find you the most perfect, sexiest dress to ever exist."
You groaned in annoyance while he wiggled his eyebrows at you, giving in shortly after and joining his laughter.
Thats gonna be one hell of a night.
____
The night has finally arrived.
The night of the party you and Jimin have been planning since forever. Not wanting to end your college experience without throwing at least one party in the tiny campus house you shared.
Its also the same party that Jimin invited your long-lasting crush to despite your repetitive desperate cries not to.
More anxiety buzzed through your body at the reminder of your special guest. Cursing your best friend in your mind every two seconds has become a habit now.
You knew deep down your best friend was kind of right, though. You kept on avoiding this boy at all costs, even at times when the chance of sparking up a conversation with him was handed to you on a silver plate. Jimin even went out of his way a couple of times to talk to him for your sake being the angel that he is, but being the chicken you are nothing ever came out of that.
You just couldn't help but feel nervous, and you didn't exactly know why. Maybe its the fact that you think he's slightly out of your league. Or that he's too perfect to be real. Or maybe because the intensity of your crush even when you haven't talked properly before freaked you out a little bit.. You weren't sure.
You inhaled another slow breath, trying to ease the growing discomfort in your guts as you took in how you looked in the mirror one last time.
The dress that Jimin chose after hours of picky shopping was a dark maroon short silk dress that hugged your body perfectly, showing off your curves just right. A detail Jimin insisted was too important to miss.
"See? I told you its the perfect dress." Jimin said from behind you as he stared at your reflection in the mirror.
"You look beautiful. He would be blind not to see that."
"Thank you, Jiminie." You bit your lower lip, trying to let your best friend's words calm your wrecked nerves. "I still hate you, though."
He laughed, "You won't hate me when you finally get your very much anticipated some tonight."
The glare you gave him was enough to cause him raise both of his hands up in full defense.
"Now, lets go. Princess."
____
It took no time for your small safe space to become packed with too many strangers for your liking.
Some people that you knew and greeted, and some that you had no idea existed.
Tons of people came in and out to your very surprise, as you never thought so many would actually show up to your first ever party.
But you also seem to forget how much of a social butterfly Jimin is at times.
Clammy hands wiped at your silk dress as you stood near your talkative friend, who is currently occupied with speaking to five people at once.
Your eyes were strained on the front door, anxiety spiking up everytime someone came through it.
"Jeez, Y/N. Take this, you look like you need it."
You haven't even realized that Jimin has been back beside you for some time now, as he handed you a red plastic cup filled with god knows what.
You mumbled a 'thank you' you're well aware he didn't hear over the loud music, not noticing how his eyes became two large pancakes at whatever sight he had just witnessed..
You looked to the direction he's looking.. and you realized.
"Oh." Is all you managed to let out.
Well, you knew he was pretty good looking but you didn't remember him to be THIS damn attractive. Otherworldly handsome.
There he was, with his incredibly wide shoulders that were pleasantly trapped by the leather jacket he's wearing. The jacket accompanied with tight ripped jeans, showing off his muscular thighs and his small waist like the absolute snack that he is.
His hair different than you've last seen him, now died black with blue ends. Longer and curlier than its usual form.
He looked ethereal. The floodgates of nerves opening again as if you remembered why you were so nervous in the first place.
"Drink. It." Jimin whispered through clenched teeth, as you failed to notice the man you've been just daydreaming about is approaching the two of you.
You surprised yourself at the speed you chugged the contents of the cup in your hand, knowing damn well theres no other way to calm you down right now.
"Kook!" Your best friend's whole demeanour changed as the man got close enough, the two of them exchanging manly enough handshakes and back pats.
"Thank you for inviting me. Its not my typical scene but this seems quite fun."
"Of course!" said Jimin as he turned to you at his side, causing the other man to do so too.
"Hey, Y/N." He flashed you the most gorgeous smile. "Nice seeing you."
And there it was. The feeling like you wanted to back up, abort whatever mission Jimin has planned and run and hide like the coward you are.
You wanted to avoid Jungkook and the formation of any proper conversation between the two of you like you always did...
But, no.
You can't. And you won't.
This is way long overdue, and you can't just waste yet another chance.
"Hey." You tried to sound as normal as possible. "You too."
Jimin took this as his cue to leave, "Uh, sorry but I have to go. We'll catch up later Jungkook!"
Just as your best friend fled purposefully leaving the two of you alone, giving you two thumbs up behind the boy's back while mouthing 'Good luck', you exchanged awkward silent eye-contact.
"Uhm," He scratched the back of his neck, probably feeling the awkward tension thick in the air too. "Should we go get you a refill?" Gesturing at your now empty cup.
"Sure." You said, turning around to lead him to where the kitchen is.
"So," He said breaking the silence of the very quiet short trip to your kitchen. "Never took you for the party animal."
You chuckled, "I'm really not. Just another thing me and Jimin wanted to check off our bucket list."
He hummed, his pursed lips indicating that something is peaking his curiousity. "You and Jimin are quite close?"
"Best friends since first year, basically." You gave him a small smile.
The shift in his features telling you your answer is what he wanted to hear. Almost as if he was asking to test the waters and make sure you two aren't an item.
Or maybe you're just making things up and the alcohol is finally kicking in. You weren't quite sure.
"I was actually a bit surprised I got invited to this, to be quite honest." He said as he leaned against the counter, drinking some of the unique mix he just made.
"What, why?"
"I don't think Jimin is one to invite someone his best friend hates."
You almost chocked on your own drink.
"What? No, no! What made you thin-"
"It's okay, Y/N." He laughed. Even his beautiful laugh not doing anything for your panic right now. "I'm just kidding."
"And even if that was somewhat true, Its okay. I'll try to change that." He mumbled the last part lowly, but your current heightened senses made sure you'd hear it.
'I'll try to change that.'
You're an idiot. Not only an idiot but too much of a coward that you've convinced the man you've been crushing on since forever that you actually hate him.
The facepalm you gave yourself mentally almost hurt.
You wanted to object, to tell him that he was being ridiculo-
"Anyways.. Would you like to dance for a bit?" He cut the series of your thoughts short. Probably taking notice of the internal tipsy battle you were currently having.
"But I suck at dancing.." Your voice came out as a whisper.
"Its okay. I'm not that good of a dancer myself." Giving you a convincing smile. "Lets go?"
The next thing you know is you were both swaying to whatever song was blasting almost deafeningly loud.
Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe you were finally feeling yourself enough to be dancing with the guy you couldn't bring yourself to talk to just a few hours ago..
But you were. And you don't think you regret any of it.
Things felt calm around Jungkook. You were truely getting comfortable around him, which surprised you to the core considering what an anxious mess you were just by the thought of him.
And also to your pleasant surprise, aside from his incredible looks, this dude had a great personality too.
You lost track of how many songs you've danced to at this point, enjoying your time with your current company who didn't falter to crack jokes here and there and speak to you even against the loud music.
Regardless of the fact that it was expected to have fun just for the mere fact that you had to be giddy hanging out with someone you wanted to hang out with for so long, but you were actually enjoying your time with him.
He was super funny, just the right amount of goofiness, and had the cutest bunny-like smile. The last isn't a personality trait, but had to be mentioned as a bonus.
As time passed, you don't know when or even how, but the inches between your bodies were diminishing little by little. Leaving the two of you unbearingly close.
You felt two large hands snaking up to grab the sides of your waist gently. The warmth of his hands sending shivers down your spine.
You wanted to hide your face, you couldn't possibly be embarrassing enough to get goosebumps from such a simple touch.. But you couldn't help it. On the contrary, you almost wanted him to see how much he affected you.
"Has anyone told you before that you're one hell of a liar?" You had to break the intensity of this silence. Of this eye-contact.
"Huh? Why?" His face getting even closer to hear you properly.
"Well, you're a fucking great dancer." Yep. Thats you. Same trembling little chicken from two hours ago.
He laughed, the corners of his doe eyes wrinkling in the cutest way humanly possible.
"Well," His smile dropped suddenly, his face got serious in what felt like an instant. He dipped his face closer, his breath now fanning over your lips. He was so close that you inhaled his scent with every breath.
The smell of vanilla with a hint of roses intoxicating. Not sure if it was the smell of the perfume that let the butterflies loose in your stomach or the person holding you that had it on.
"Has anyone told you before you're so goddamn beautiful?"
'Shit.'
Goosebumps. Goosebumps all over your body, strong enough that not even the alcohol could conceal them.
The sudden compliment and the seriousness in his voice almost made you dizzy. You felt ridiculous as you grabbed onto both of sides of his jacket, trying to steady yourself.
His large doe eyes stared down into yours, sparlking underneath the lights of the room. Intense gaze never wavering. Eyes not leaving your own for a second.
Everything around you suddenly became an insignificant blur. Nothing else mattered. Not the loud music, not the sweaty bodies dancing beside you, not even the fact that your stomach was doing a flip every five seconds.
Your mind was totally empty.
It was just him. Jungkook. Jungkook and his damn stunning eyes.
Your eyes wandered down to his lips. They looked so pink, so soft-looking that you desperately wanted to feel them.
You knew your thoughts were insanely brave right now, but you really did.
You wanted to feel them. Wanted to kiss him endlessly. Wanted to kiss the pout that is forming due to your lack of response off. You wanted to kiss him so much you couldn't think of anything else.
You wanted to call yourself crazy, pull away and try to sober up from the magnet that is his presence. But you couldn't bring yourself to.
Drowning in your own thoughts, you didn't register how he held your face in his two palms, inching closer painfully slow.
His every move hesitant.. He looked into your eyes one more time, before he crashed his lips into yours.
'What is happening?'
'Is Jungkook really kissing me? WHAT IS HAPPENING?!'
The whole world stopped. Your whole body tingled in excitement.
They felt just as soft as they looked, if not even better than you've ever imagined, and you couldn't help but melt into them. Losing whatevers left of your composure.
You almost wanted to scream. You couldn't believe this finally happened. You couldn't believe you were kissing the boy of your daydreams back. Feeling his lips on yours, your face held in his gentle hands. Your two lips gliding against each other like they always fit so perfectly.
You finally grew some balls. You did what you want to do for once.
You did not run and you did not chicken out.
You were actually kissing Jungkook.
It took him a mere second to realize you returned his embrace, one of his hands moving to the nape of your neck to further deepen his kiss.
His lips felt like soft clouds against yours. His sweet balm tasting of cherries. You wanted to kiss and nib and lick all of his sweetness off.
You wanted to scream.
Your hands moved up to his hair. Pulling softly at the long curls that have been driving you crazy ever since you saw him, pleasantly earning a moan into the kiss you were sharing.
His tongue slipped into your mouth, playing with your own softly. Leisurely, as you owned all the time in the world.
You didn't want to think too highly of yourself already, but theres no denying that you felt his eagerness too.
You couldn't help but wonder if Jungkook was just an incredibly great kisser in general or that he wanted it just as much as you did. Craving it just as much as you have been.
Every tongue move, every caress of your left cheek with his thumb, the tightening of his grab on your waist as he pulled you even closer.. All of it screamed passion.
His embrace felt like the perfect mixture of what is agonizingly sweet and gentle but also dripping with want and need.
Taken back by his hands moving up and down your back now, you almost lost balance.
His hands incredibly eager, wanting to feel every inch of your body. Wanting to let you know how much he appreciated all of you. Every hand caress dripping with every emotion that there is.
One of his palms eventually found your ass, giving it a tight squeeze almost instinctually. The moan that escaped your lips into his kiss not asking for your permission first.
The sound he gained from you only made him squeeze you harder, groaning loudly against your mouth, chest vibrating against yours.. Before he suddenly tensed.
His whole body tensed, removing both hands off you quickly as if something switched off inside of him.
Pulling away from the kiss as you felt the so sudden change in the whole atmosphere, your heart pounding hard in your chest that you were absolutely sure he must've heard it too.
'Have I done something wrong? Did I fuck something up?'
'Oh god.'
'Maybe he just got too drunk. Maybe he never wanted to do this.'
'God, no.'
'Please say something, Jungkook. Please.'
"I-I'm sorry, Y/N." His voice raspy, lips swollen from what had just happened.
Your heart dropped. This, right here, is your biggest fear. This is exactly why you should've never agreed to this. This was a bad, bad idea.
"I'm sorry." His voice interrupting your impending panic. "Thi-this is a mistake. I don't think we should do this right now."
You stared blankly at him as he averted your gaze, eyes looking down and around the room, anywhere but your direction.
You're a fucking dumbass. You couldn't possibly be so dumb that you read all the signals wrong. You were almost on the edge of thinking he might have liked you too, that the kiss he just initiated might have meant something. That maybe he wanted it all along just like you did.
You're an idiot.
That was just some drunken excitement. You should've known. You should've never agreed to all of this.
Tears welled up in your eyes.. Out of embarrassment, out of sadness, out of anger even. The whirl of emotions making it hard to pinpoint why exactly you're on the edge of crying.
You can't let him see this. You can't make him feel bad for not wanting this.
You had to leave. Now.
"I-its okay. I'm s-sorry." You stuttered as you tried your hardest not to choke on your own words.
Your legs acted before your brain thought of commanding. In just a moment you were running away from him, anywhere, just far away.
Your head spinning, every inch of you itched you to hide. Hide and never show your face to the same boy ever again.
You really needed to be alone. So much that you didn't even bother to see his reaction or hear what he had to say.
So much that you failed to hear his loud pleas and desperate calls of your name.
____
A knock.
It has been hours since what happened, and since you ran upstairs and locked yourself in your room.
The house felt quiet now..
Maybe it was later than you thought.
Another knock.
"Y/N, please open up." Jimin's voice laced with worry as he spoke.
"I'm not in the mood, Jimin."
"I know, Its just-" He sighed out tiredly. "Lets talk about it, Y/N. I can't leave you alone like this."
Silence.
"I'm sorry I didn't come up here to check on you earlier, I had to make sure everyone was out of here first."
More silence.
"Uhm, we don't even have to talk about anything if you don't want to. we can just watch a movie or like- I got you some icecream. The cookie dough kind that you like. I will even play with your hair if you want me to just plea-"
You opened the door, cutting his rambling short.
"You idiot," You gave him a sad smile. "Did you really go out this drunk and THIS late to get me icecream?"
He huffed out a relieved breath he was clearly holding. His worried eyes examining every centimeter of your face.
You were well aware that you looked like shit. Your eyes puffy from all the crying, mascara that was running down your face now dried. Your hair that you spent hours curling and perfecting now messy and probably looking like a bird's nest.
You even had an unmatching pajama set on, and nothing screamed a sad you like this one does.
"Sweetheart," He whispered gently. "Anything for you. Always."
Your vision blurring as your felt tears burning your eyes, before you even know it. Your sensitive state apparently not taking any kind of affection well.
"Oh, dear." Jimin said, pulling you into his arms.
You didn't keep track of how much time passed by as Jimin held you, letting you cry all the tears left in your body while he cooed and patted the back of your head.
You probably stained his shirt with snot and whats left of your mascara, but the angel that you have as your best friend wasn't one bit bothered.
"Come on," He spoke as your cries became sniffles and your sobs calmed down a notch. "Lets get you to bed."
You nodded tiredly as he led you to your own bed, tucking you in after wiping whats left of your makeup quickly with a nearby makeup wipe.
"Hey, Jimin?" You let out just as he was leaving you to let you have some sleep.
"Hmm?"
"Mind if you sleep here tonight? I'm kind of in need for your cuddles right now."
He chuckled softly, and he didn't have to be told twice. Getting in bed next to you in a second, quickly spooning you from behind.
"Thank you, Jiminie. I know I'm being dramatic right now.." You said after a long silence.
"Shushh. I'm sorry for getting you into all of this in the beginning."
You turned in his arms to face him. "No, no." You said sternly.
"Don't be stupid. You just wanted me to get laid. Rightfully so."
He laughed, "He's a dick anyways. It took everything in me not to go punch him right then and there."
"Wait," You gasped. "You saw what happened?"
He nodded hesitantly.
"I'm sorry. He's an idiot."
You smiled weakly, "Its okay, maybe we all had too much to drink. At least I've tried? Your constant annoying encouragement did work at the end."
He laughed softly. "I'm glad you didn't hold back from what you wanted, though. Lets just forget about it now, yeah?"
You nodded, feeling a lot better in the presence and embrace of your best friend. Forgetting about everything worrying you whenever he's around.
"Goodnight, Jiminie."
The kiss Jimin left on your forehead was the last thing you remembered before falling into deep slumber.
____
You didn't want to admit how awkward it was everytime you bumped into Jungkook now. And of course, with the irony of this universe, you've bumped into this one man more than you have ever in your entire college life so far.
What was more awkward that is you lacked the knowledge on how to adress the current situation between the two of you..
Do you just fist pump next time you see him and act like nothing that has affected you happened so you could collect some of the dignity you had dropped? Or do you ask him what exactly caused him to kiss you and regret doing so just five seconds in?
You weren't quite sure how to act, nor how to feel.
On one hand, you felt ridiculous. Embarrassed. The fact that apparentely you care enough about this for it to cross your mind wasn't exactly making you proud of yourself.
But on the other hand, you admit, you were quite curious.
You kind of wanted to know what he had to say.. Specially that everytime you cross paths he attempts to approach you, but never making it in time before you fly right in the other direction.
This was harsh of you, you know that, and you felt bad for ignoring him everytime. But as mentioned before, your dignity couldn't possibly allow you to face him as if right now.
Also, you were hurt.
You had a glimpse of what it was like to finally have the attention of the guy you like, only for rejection to bite you in the ass moments later.
But you also weren't gonna admit that right now.
Despite the constant tries of your dear best friend, Jimin, to take your mind off things and maybe hook you up with a person or two, force you into a couple blind date situations.. Nothing ever came out with an avail.
You didn't need anything. You just needed time for yourself. Trying to get into something else isn't at the top of your to do list and won't be anytime soon.
Your eyes shot wide open at the sound of commotion coming from downstairs.
It was a saturday and you definitely always liked to sleep in, sometimes very late, and Jimin was never one to bother you. Always being an amazing roommate who manages to be quiet enough despite being an early morning bird.
So.. This was weird.
Thinking you've had enough sleep anyways you decided to head downstairs, maybe check what the fuss is all about and spend sometime with him, like you always did on the weekends.
"What makes you think its alright for you to come here anyways!" Jimin whisper-shouted, you didn't need to see his face to know he's exasperated. You knew him too well.
You furrowed your brows, 'What is going on?'
Another male voice spoke, muttering lowly. "I-I just needed to speak with her, she is totally running away from me everytime I see her!"
"And I.... kind of forgot to ask for her number."
"Of course you did, you ass! You were too busy tryi-"
"Jiminie?" You stood at the top of the stairs. Not wanting to spy more on this conversation that was obviously about you.
"Shit," Jimin mumbled. "You go now, I'm not gonna allow you in."
Having enough of not knowing what this is all about, you sneaked up behind Jimin who was currently blocking the view of the front door.
"Jiminie." You called from behind him, causing him to turn around.
And you saw him. You saw Jungkook.
He stared back at you in shock. Probably taken back by your sudden appearance behind your angry roommate.
You felt very exposed as you were in your pajama, raw (very raw), state. You probably looked like an absolute mess.. But that wasn't what you cared about right now.
Jimin scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Uhm, good morning Y/N. I'm sorry if i woke you up I jus-"
"Its okay, Jimin. I understand." You took a deep breath. "What is up, Jungkook?"
"Uhm.. I- Y/N." He ran his fingers through his hair nervously. "I wanted to talk to you."
You weren't quite sure if you were ready to have whatever conversation he came to your own home to have.. But you couldn't just leave him there.
Something in the back of your mind wanted to give this a go, no matter what it was. Specially since you had to give him A+ for effort and courage for coming all the way here. To talk to you.
"Alright then," You ignored the shock that appeared on your best friend face. "Come in."
"You sure?" Jimin whispered as low as he could.
You nodded, "Its alright, Jiminie."
You gave Jimin's hand a fast squeeze for reassurance after he had his fair share of glaring at the poor kid, leaving you two alone quickly after.
"Here," You guided Jungkook in, gesturing at the tiny couch of your living room. "Make yourself at home."
"What do you want to drink?"
"Y/N. I don't want to be a bother. I know how uncomfortable I'm making you already. I just wanted to quickl-"
"Jungkook," You interrupted. "You're not a bother. Also, we have to speak, don't we? Might as well drink something while we're at it."
He gave you a small nod, his contemplating still apparent.
"Coffee?" He nodded again.
You left quickly to make the both of you much needed coffee. Also quickly freshening up, but Jungkook didn't have to know that. So you were back with your two mugs to face this in no time.
You sat beside him, getting a quiet 'thank you' after handing him his mug, turning to face him totally.
"So.." You started. You felt somewhat of a power sensing that, today, he was the nervous one.
He put his mug down on the coffee table and started to fidget with his fingers.
His brows furrowed, a pout too small to be noticable forming on his lips. A thing you noticed he also did when he was waiting for your response that night. He was clearly in deep thought trying to form the right words.
He took a deep breath. "Y/N. Lets start with saying I fucked up."
You gave him a look, encouraging him to speak further.
"It was- I was-" He stuttered, his anxious state almost making you want to hug him. "I was a total dick, okay?"
"I shouldn't have done that, at all. I know you must dislike me now and I- I honestly thought you already did cause you always avoided me and always avoided speaking with me but that night I decided to give it another try and you didn't! And I was having so much fun and I-I ruined it by getting drunk like the idiot that I am! And fuck, I'm rambling b-but I really didn't want you to take the wrong idea, I didn't want it to go this way, I want to get to know you properly and maybe ask you out on a-"
"Jungkook." You tried so hard to hide the gasp you almost took. "Calm down, please."
You didn't know how to feel. You couldn't even process all the information. He has been basically speaking at the speed of light and you weren't sure you registered anything.
"Sorry," His gaze diverted downwards. "I'm just nervous. I'm sorry."
"No need to be." You said softly, giving him a reassuring smile. "Take all the time that you need. I'm all ears."
His pout turned into a warm smile, and you felt his shoulders relax a bit. "Thank you."
You nodded. Giving him his time and space to take a breath.
"I like you, Y/N."
Your head shot up from your coffee mug too fast you almost broke your neck in half.
'What.'
'Wait, what?'
'What?!!'
Your jaw slack, you opened your mouth to speak but Jungkook quickly interrupted.
"All this time I really thought you hated me. I got to know Jimin, spoke to him on so many occassions, almost always doing that to speak to YOU- Wait, he's gonna kill me if he finds that out."
You both laughed, but you stayed silent to let him complete.
"And, like, I only came to your party to have an excuse to see you. And maybe get lucky and get to hang out a bit, and I did. And I was truely enjoying the night although i've always hated parties with a passion."
"But fuck, was I stupid." He completed. "I got a bit more tipsier than I should have, and I kissed you."
"Don't get me wrong, you're gorgeous and I don't regret it one bit, of course I don't. I just- I didn't want it to escalate into something else, and I clearly got ahead of myself then. I didn't want it to seem like I was just there for a fuck. I really want to get to know you, Y/N. Properly."
You were at complete loss of words. Was this really happening?
Is Jeon Jungkook, the crush you annoyed Jimin about till the end of time, the guy you could never get yourself to man up and approach, right here in front of you, confessing?
You looked at him, and you really didn't know what to say. You were speechless.
"But, of course I fucked up. I thought that by not following you and making sure you knew my intentions I was giving you your space. But I realized soon after that that was just dumb. I shouldn't have let you go without telling you what stopped me."
"Jungkook," You finally spoke. Speaking so softly because you didn't trust your voice for anything more. "I never hated you."
"But," His large eyes bore into yours. He truely looked extremely cute when he was pouting. "Why did you always run away from me?"
You chuckled. "I just honestly never had the balls to speak to you. Maybe since I liked you so much."
"Why would you- Wait what?"
He couldn't help but giggle at his cute reaction. His doe eyes enlarged and widened even more if that was possible.
"I do." You gave him a smile. This is the 1000th stomach flip you felt ever since he sat in front of you but you weren't counting. It felt nice saying it, though. It felt nice no longer feeling so sickeningly anxious about it, but giddy and happy instead.
"I really do, Jungkook." You let out a sigh. "I just needed all this world's courage to be able to sit in the same room as you. But I really, really like you too." A chuckle escaping your lips at your sudden bravery.
"God." He smiled at you so warmly your heart jumped out of your chest. "We're just two idiots in a huge misunderstanding, aren't we?"
You giggled and nodded. You truely couldn't contain your excitement.
You almost couldn't wrap your head around it. It was mutual. It was mutual all along and you both failed to see that in a way..
But it was. And now you know.
Now the man you always runned away from fearing his rejection is right here in front of you, smiling at you, confessing that he felt just the same.
You can't believe it.
He pulled you out of your thoughts by taking both of your hands in his.
"So now," He whispered as he scooted a bit closer to you. "Would you give me another chance, let me do this again?"
You looked into his eyes, the look you gave him probably gave away your answer. But you knew you had to use your words.
"Gladly, Jungkook."
"Pick you up at 8?"
'This sounds like something I would love to get used to.'
You nodded, smiling big.
He gave his butterflies inducing gorgeous smile (that you bet you will never get used to). He kissed your cheek softly before getting up, ready to leave.
"Can't wait." He gave you one last smile before heading out of the door.
This, just happened.
And you couldn't help but throw yourself on the couch, hide your face in your hands and giggle for the rest of the day like some over-excited teenager.
You truely couldn't wait either.
