Work Text:
"Let me get this straight."
Jimin stopped pacing in her room as she faced her older sister, Jeongyeon.
"Ever since you arrived at Aeri's house for the first time, you've been secretly stealing glances at this blonde girl next door and when you finally got caught, you never looked at her again. But during that time, she was looking for you instead?"
Jimin nodded as she sat on the foot of her bed.
"Yes," She sighed.
"And yesterday, she went over to Aeri's house to give her cookies but she only did that so she could get to see you and before you left, she went over and... asked for your number?"
Jimin laid down and stared at the ceiling, "Yeah. That's basically a summary of what happened."
"Aeri's right. You are a useless lesbian," Jeongyeon cocked an eyebrow.
Jimin sat up, half-offended, "Excuse me?"
Jeongyeon rolled her eyes and scoffed, "Come on, you know it's true," She walked over to Jimin's bed and sat down next to her.
"Did she ever text you?"
Jimin shook her head, "No."
Jeongyeon tilted her head, "Well, are you gonna text her?"
Jimin sighed and laid back down on her bed but this time, face first.
"I don't know..." She murmured, her voice being muffled. Jeongyeon groaned as she gripped Jimin's shoulders and pulled her back up.
"Come on," Jeongyeon said, "Text her. Right now."
"Right now?" Jimin questioned cluelessly.
Jeongyeon nodded, "Mhm. Right now."
She then looked around Jimin's bedroom, "Where's your phone?"
"Uh... charging over there on the window sill," Jimin muttered as she pointed to it.
Jeongyeon walked over as she unplugged the phone and threw it to Jimin, a little too forcefully. Luckily, with amazing reflexes, Jimin caught it.
"Jeongie, what the fuck!" Jimin let out a breath of relief when she caught her phone, "You just chucked my phone and almost broke my nose!"
"Text her," Jeongyeon said, ignoring what Jimin said.
"But-"
"No buts," Jeongyeon interfered, "Just do it."
Jimin sighed as she unlocked her phone and started searching for Minjeong's contact, slowly regretting telling her older sister about her troubles.
"I hate you," Jimin mumbled.
"You say that now but, you won't hate me later on when you end up boning her on this very bed."
"Jeongyeon, you're sick!" Jimin exclaimed in disgust at her sister's vulgarity before she stood up to slap Jeongyeon's arm.
"Hey, I'm just sayin'," Jeongyeon raised her hands in surrender.
Jimin stopped as she saw Minjeong's name. She pressed it and pressed the button to start a new conversation. She just stared blankly at the insertion curser blinking.
"W-What do I say now..?" Jimin asked.
Jeongyeon groaned as she rolled her eyes, "Hopeless lesbian, I'm telling you."
Jimin scoffed as she faced her, "Can you please just shut up and help my apparent hopeless ass?"
"Just say like a simple 'hi' or something, I don't know," Jeongyeon shrugged.
"Okay..." Jimin breathed as she began typing. When she finished, she hesitated hitting the send button.
"What are you standing there for?" Jeongyeon asked, "Press the god damn button!"
"I don't want to!" Jimin whined as she shut her eyes.
"Fucking hopeless," Jeongyeon muttered as she leaned over and pressed it for her.
Me
hi it's me jimin :)
Jimin's eyes shot open when she heard the sound of a message being sent. She turned her head so fast she might've received a minor whiplash.
"What... did you just do?"
"I hit the send button for you," Jeongyeon shrugged, "Your eyes were closed so it was the perfect opportunity."
"Oh my god!" Jimin whined as she ran to her bed and fell face first again.
"Oh, grow a pair!" Jeongyeon exclaimed, "It's not like you typed out that you wanted to suck faces with her in a dark corner of a movie theater."
Jimin let out a loud groan into her pillow.
"Please, shut up," Jimin mumbled.
"Look, this chick went up to you and asked for your number because she thought you were cute," Jeongyeon added, "That means she's obviously interested. So, I don't know why you're so worked up."
Jimin turned over and continued laying on her bed, "I-I don't know... I guess I'm just nervous..."
Jeongyeon smiled as she sat on the foot of her bed.
"And that's adorable. Means you're probably just as interested in her as she is for you."
A ding coming from Jimin's phone caught the attention of the both of them, filling Jimin's body up with panic.
—
Minjeong
hey jimin!
how are you? ^^
—
It's been almost half an hour since Minjeong replied and all Jimin did was sitting on the floor, letting it all sink in. Jeongyeon was fed up with her in five minutes and left her alone.
"Okay," Jimin sighed, "Okay, i-it's just a simple hello, right? Yeah, yeah totally, okay."
She stared at the text again and let out a breath as she ran her fingers through her dark blue hair.
"Fuck," Jimin muttered, "Uh... let's see..."
Jimin typed a response unsurely. She tilted her head as she stared at what she wrote, wondering if it's good enough.
"Send. Okay, send."
Me
im doing just fine!
what about u? :)
Minjeong
that's great!!
what are u up to right now?
Jimin widened her eyes, "How did she respond so quickly?!"
She sat back down on her bed before she could faint and fall flat on her floor and slowly processed this.
Me
nothing much haha
what abt u?
Minjeong
nothing much either
im kinda bored sadly
Me
same with me smh
Minjeong
hey do u wanna come over for a little bit?
if you dont mind ofc!
Jimin widened her eyes and let out an ugly noise when she read what Minjeong said. She slapped a hand over her mouth as she didn't believe Minjeong really just asked her to hang out. She felt her face turn a bright tomato red in just two seconds.
Jimin's door got busted open by Jeongyeon all of a sudden.
"What happened?!" She exclaimed, "I heard you scream!"
"She asked to hang out," Jimin mumbled as she stared blankly at her phone.
Jeongyeon furrowed her eyebrows, "Huh?"
"S-She asked to... hang out," Jimin muttered.
"Jimin, speak up, I don't know what you're trying to-"
"She asked to fucking hang out!" Jimin bursted as she flailed her arms around.
"Okay, okay," Jeongyeon interfered as she held them in place, "That's a good thing, right? That you're finally hanging out with her? You can use this time to get to know her."
"Y-Yeah, I guess," Jimin sighed. She looked at her phone and began typing.
Me
uh yeah im down for that!
ill be over soon!
Minjeong
cool :)
see you soon jimin!
Jimin closed her eyes shut as she squirmed at the thought of hanging out with Minjeong.
"What the fuck are you still doing here?" Jeongyeon groaned, "Go! She's waiting for you!"
"I don't know, maybe I-"
"No, you already agreed," Jeongyeon shook her head, "Can't keep her waiting. Now, get going!"
Jimin sighed as she got up and began walking downstairs to leave.
I regret everything.
—
"Yep. Definitely regretting everything."
Staring back at her was Minjeong's house. She looked to her right at Aeri's house, contemplating if she should stop by for a little pep talk before entering Minjeong's.
"No," Jimin shook her head, "I... I can do this, mhm."
She clenched her hands into fists and walked to Minjeong's front door. She planted her feet right in front of it and took a deep breath. She saw a doorbell on the left and hovered her hand over it. After a few more seconds of contemplation, she pressed the button, second guessing herself immediately.
She backed up and fidgeted as she waited for the door to be opened. Her head snapped up as she heard footsteps approaching the door.
"Oh, shit," She muttered.
The door was opened by Minjeong. She was wearing a black zip up jacket with a white sports bra and black shorts. Her blonde hair was up in a ponytail. Jimin's lips parted a bit.
Holy hell...
"Uh... Earth to Jimin?" Minjeong chuckled. Jimin's eyes widened as she let out a shaky chuckle.
"U-Uh," She cleared her throat, "Hi."
"Hey," Minjeong snickered. She stepped to the side, "Come on in."
Jimin nodded as she entered Minjeong's house. It was a simple, cozy home. Jimin knew she'd feel homey here. She took off her shoes and left them next to the door.
"Should we go up to my room?" Minjeong asked.
"Oh, uh, sure," Jimin answered, her palms becoming sweaty.
Minjeong nodded as she grabbed Jimin's hand and led her up the stairs. Jimin's eyes widened as she was caught off guard by the gesture. Hopefully, Minjeong didn't mind her sweaty hands.
"If you hear anyone talking, don't think it's a ghost or something," Minjeong chuckled, "It's just my sister. We share a wall."
She then led Jimin into her bedroom. Jimin's eyes wandered as she entered Minjeong's bedroom. It was so much prettier physically being in it than looking at it through Aeri's window. She saw parts of it that she couldn't see through the window which made the room even prettier.
"Woah..." Jimin exhaled, "Your room is seriously so sick. It's so pretty."
Minjeong giggled as she sat on her bed, "Thanks, glad you like it."
She then stood up, "Do you want anything to drink? Water, lemonade, anything?"
"Uh, just water is fine," Jimin smiled.
"Okay. I'll be right back," Minjeong said as she left the room.
Jimin quickly took out her phone and dialed Aeri's number. She fidgeted in front of the window as she muttered words, hoping Aeri would pick up.
"What do you want?"
Jimin rolled her eyes, "Look out your window."
"Huh?"
"Just fucking do it!"
She then saw Aeri turn her head and met her eyes through the window. Aeri widened her eyes as her lips parted.
"Yoo Jimin!" She exclaimed as she marched in front of her window, "What on earth are you doing over there?!"
"Yesterday, Minjeong asked for my number and then today, she asked to hang out!"
"Oh, so the cute blonde girl next door has a name?"
Jimin whined, "Not the time!"
Aeri smirked at her as she giggled.
"Look, she went downstairs to get water and that gives me enough time to contemplate my decisions."
"Girl, you can pull through with this! Just be yourself and shit, I don't know."
"Wow. You're truly a big help."
She turned around as she heard Minjeong walking on the stairs. Jimin's eyes widened as she began to quickly panic.
"O-Okay, shit, she's coming back up. Please text me. I'm hanging on by a thread here."
"Alright, alright. Keep the curtains open so I can glance from time to time."
"Got it, okay."
"Good luck, totally hopeless lesbian."
"Fuck off."
As she hung up, the door opened to Minjeong with two bottles of water.
"Hey, I got some water," She announced, "I got one bottle for myself as well. It's from the fridge so it's nice and cold."
Jimin melted slightly at the gesture, "Thank you so much."
"Of course," Minjeong smiled as she walked over and gave Jimin the bottle.
"Thanks," Jimin muttered as she took it.
"So, Jimin," Minjeong began as she sat on her bed and opened the bottle, "What is it about me?"
Jimin was taken back by the question, "E-Excuse me?"
"What is it about me, Jimin? I mean, why were you staring at me? I caught you that one time and I could only assume that it wasn't your first time doing it."
She had a strong gaze towards Jimin, "So... why me?"
Wow, she's cuts to the chase a lot.
Jimin really couldn't believe that Minjeong was so upfront. She fidgeted as she thought of answers to Minjeong's questions.
"I... uh..."
She then opened her water bottle and began chugging. Minjeong began to giggle at Jimin's obvious nervousness. The latter was thankful that the water was cold.
Jimin stopped chugging and glanced at the bottle. She almost drank the whole thing. She's gonna surely regret it later on when she has the sudden urge to pee.
"I don't know," Jimin murmured as she shrugged.
"Is it because I'm pretty?" Minjeong tilted her head. Jimin widened her eyes as she looked at the floor with her pale face slowly turning red.
She let out a nervous chuckle, "I-I mean.... uhm...."
"I'm just messing with you," Minjeong chuckled as she stood up and walked over to Jimin, "But as of for me, I thought you were very cute."
"You should've been creeped out by me instead," Jimin snickered with red cheeks.
"True," Minjeong added, "But, that never came to mind. I wanted to see more of you, too, but I never saw you again until I did yesterday. I found cookies from my pantry and went over to see if I could spot you again. Thank god you answered the door."
Jimin giggled, "The cookies were delicious, by the way."
Minjeong raised her eyebrows, "Really?"
Jimin nodded, "Yeah. I had one before I left yesterday. They were really good."
"Well, then I'm glad," Minjeong exhaled as she tilted her head and gave Jimin a sweet smile, which the latter happily gave one back.
—
Jimin and Minjeong had a blast hanging out with one another so far.
Jimin has been over Minjeong's house for hours and she didn't even need to reach out for Aeri's help. She had it all under control, surprisingly.
The pair were currently watching television in the living room with a plethora of snacks laid out on the coffee table.
"How could they be so blind?!" Minjeong wailed followed by a loud scream into a throw-pillow.
Jimin rolled her eyes, "I know right? It's actually physically painful to watch."
"Marinette, who is Ladybug, likes Adrien but she doesn't think that way about Chat Noir, who is also Adrien."
"And Adrien doesn't see that way about Marinette but he likes Ladybug," Jimin added.
"She's just a friend," Jimin air-quoted.
"I'm literally about to punch both of them," Minjeong muttered which made Jimin let out a laugh.
"What time is it?" Jimin asked.
"Uh," Minjeong reached over to grab her phone from the coffee table, "It's eleven."
"Eleven?!" Jimin exclaimed, with risen eyebrows and widened eyes.
"Yes, Jimin, it's eleven," Minjeong chuckled.
"We've been binging Miraculous for eight hours?!" Jimin screeched.
Minjeong shrugged, "I guess so, yeah."
"Oh fuck," Jimin murmured, "I... I should get home."
"It's actually pretty late," Minjeong said, "I don't think it's a good idea for you to go home at this time."
Jimin sighed as her shoulder deflated. She ran her fingers through her hair.
"God, so what should I do?" Jimin whined as she took a sip of water.
"You could sleepover," Minjeong suggested. Jimin choked on the water as she was taken back by the offer.
"Uhm, pardon me?" Jimin sputtered.
"You could sleepover," Minjeong repeated more firmly.
"Minjeong, I don't-"
"Come on, please?" Minjeong begged, "It'll be fun! It's way too late for you to be going back home so why not just spend a night here? You can come back home first thing in the morning, if you want."
"But, Minjeong, I really-"
"Pretty please, Jimin~?" Minjeong asked in a babyish voice, "With a cherry on top?"
God, how could I say no to that cute face?
"Okay, okay, fine!" Jimin gave in while Minjeong squealed, "Just let me text my sister where I am so she won't bite my head off."
Minjeong let out a laugh, "You know, you're actually really funny."
Jimin hid her face while grabbing her phone as she began to blush at Minjeong's comment.
"I'll clean up," Minjeong announced as she stood up and stretched, "It's a little messy here."

Jimin rolled her eyes as her lips formed a faint smile and stuck her phone in her pocket. She looked up and saw Minjeong in the kitchen putting the snacks and drinks away. Jimin awkwardly stood up as she walked over.
"Need any help with that?" She asked as she sat on the kitchen island.
Minjeong smiled at the offer but shook her head, "No thanks, I'm good."
Jimin nodded as she played with her fingers. She was still a tad nervous to be around Minjeong but not as much as before. She became a lot more comfortable around her.
"You could go upstairs and wait in my room," Minjeong added, "Only if you want to, I don't know. It's because I'm almost done here and I could meet you upstairs?"
"Oh, uh, sure thing," Jimin answered as she hopped off the island and began walking to the steps.
"I'll be up in like two minutes," Minjeong called out before Jimin nodded.
Jimin rushed up the stairs and began walking to Minjeong's bedroom.
"Hey."
Jimin yelped at the sudden voiced and held onto the railing for support. The owner of the voice let out a giggle.
"Jimin?" Minjeong yelled from downstairs, "Are you good up there?"
"Uh, y-yeah, I'm good!" Jimin yelled back, trying to catch her breath.
"Sorry, didn't think you'd get that scared."
The owner of the voice was standing against her door frame with her arms crossed. She had long blonde hair and she looked like an older version of Minjeong.
This must be her sister.
"Hi, I'm Taeyeon," She greeted, "Minjeong's older sister."
"Oh, uh, hi," Jimin replied, "I'm Jimin, a friend of Minjeong's."
"Jimin..." Taeyeon pondered for a second, "Ah, Jimin. I knew that name was familiar."
Jimin furrowed her eyebrows at that, "Aren't you the girl that was caught staring at Minjeong?"
Jimin widened her eyes at that and her face turned bright red.
What the fuck? Did Minjeong tell her sister about that?
"Uhhh..." Jimin rubbed her nape as she let out an awkward chuckle, "I, uhm-"
"It's okay! I'm not judging you or anything," Taeyeon chuckled, "But, I have to say, Minjeong was talking about you nonstop earlier."
Jimin was surprised, "Really..?"
Taeyeon nodded enthusiastically, "Mhm! She thinks very highly of you, Jimin. She thinks you're really pretty and adorable and when you said that you were willing to come over today, oh boy, she was a huge mess like a huge nervous wre-"
"Uh... Taeyeon..?"
The two turned around to see Minjeong standing at the top of the stairs, her face red as a firetruck.
"What are you talking about?" She mumbled.
"Oh! Just tellin' Jimin here your obvious attra-"
"O-Okay, Jimin!" Minjeong cut in as she walked over and grabbed her wrist, "Let's go to my room pronto! It was lovely chatting with you, sis, but we'll get going now!"
She dragged Jimin into her room, hearing Taeyeon let out a devilish chuckle from behind. She closed the door shut and locked it as she stood against it, panting. Jimin looked at her with a confused expression.
"Are you okay?" Jimin asked, "What was that about?"
"Oh, it was nothing..." Minjeong nervously chuckled, "Sisters being sisters, I guess. I'm fine though."
She walked over and sat on her bed, "What about you, Jimin? Do you have any siblings?"
"As a matter of fact, I do," Jimin answered as she sat on the bed as well, "I have an older sister named Jeongyeon. She can be a real pain in the ass sometimes."
Or all the time.
"I can relate to that," Minjeong replied with a smile, "Taeyeon can get on my nerves a lot but nonetheless, I love her."
Jimin let out a light chuckle at that as she fell back on Minjeong's bed. Minjeong looked over and did the exact same thing, letting a sigh escape through her lips when her head made contact with her comforter. They both laid like that for a couple seconds.
Minjeong turned her head to look at Jimin.
"Hey, Jimin- oh-" She immediately cut herself off when Jimin turned her head, too. The lack of distance between them threw Minjeong off and she noticed that it threw Jimin off a bit too as she subtly widened her eyes and her face turned red.
"I, uh," Minjeong was at a lack of words, "Was wondering... if you, uhm, wanted to use my bathroom? If you needed to shower or something? B-Because I'm going to but I didn't know if you wanted to as well."
"Oh," Jimin cleared her throat before continuing, "No, it's okay. You... you can use it."
"Okay," Minjeong breathed out. The two didn't even bother to move. They stayed in their current position, staring into each other's eyes.
"Uh... Minjeong?" She hummed in response, "Are you, um, gonna take that shower?"
"Oh-! Right, I'll just," She stood up and her mind blanked for a second, "Shower, yeah."
She sped walked into her closet and yanked out a towel and clothes, a little too aggressively since it made Jimin flinch. She stepped out of the closet and held them on her shoulder while forcing out a smile.
"I'll be right back," She breathed out, "I promise it won't be too long."
"Oh, I don't mind," Jimin waved off, "You can take as long as you wa-"
Minjeong already bolted out of the room, leaving Jimin alone in her bedroom. Since Minjeong left, Jimin could finally breathe. She let out a huge breath and stared at the ceiling. She then grabbed her phone and proceeded to text Aeri.

When Jimin placed her phone down, she furrowed her eyebrows as she heard something. She stood still as she listened, only to realize the noise was Minjeong and Taeyeon have a loud conversation in the latter's bedroom.
Jimin couldn't quite tell what they were talking about but whatever it was, Minjeong had a lot to say on her end.
—
Jimin ended falling asleep for twenty minutes while she waited for Minjeong to finish showering. She eventually heard footsteps approaching Minjeong's room.
"Hey, sorry I took so long. I....."
Jimin lifted her head up and immediately turned red from the sight in front of her.
It was Minjeong with damp hair, an oversized T-Shirt, and specs resting on her nose. It was the prettiest she's seen her so far and she really adores how beautiful Minjeong still manages to look naturally.
"Jimin?"
She snapped out of her daze, "Huh?"
"I was just saying how you can borrow my clothes for tonight," Minjeong chuckled as she closed her door, "I don't think you'd be comfortable sleeping with what you've got on right now."
"Oh! Uh..." She looked down at her cropped sweatshirt and mom jeans. She looked up with a smile, "Sure, um, thanks."
"Yeah, of course," Minjeong nodded, "You can pick out whatever you want, I don't care."
"Alright, I'll be right back."
She walked over into Minjeong's walk-in closet and turned on the light. Jimin immediately raised her eyebrows. Minjeong had quite the selection of clothing. She had a little bit of everything.
"Uh, the pajamas are in the corner on the left!" Minjeong yelled out, "In that drawer!"
"Thanks!" Jimin yelled back.
She opened the top drawer and immediately closed it while having her eyes almost pop out of her eye sockets. She closed it a little too hard which made a couple hangers that were on top of the mini drawer fall on the floor.
"Jimin?" Minjeong called out, "Everything okay in there?"
"Uh yeah! I'm fine, it's just... I dropped a couple hangers!" Jimin responded as she scattered to pick them up.
"Okay, just making sure!"
Jimin muttered a bunch of swear words as she put the hangers back where they were. She ran her fingers through her hair as she composed herself.
She just opened a drawer filled with Minjeong's lingerie.
Welp. Can't get that image out of my mind now.
She eventually found a spare sweater and pajama shorts in the drawer. She stepped out and gave Minjeong a smile, holding up the clothing she chose.
"Great, you found something!" Minjeong exclaimed as she paused on brushing her hair, "The bathroom is at the end of the hallway on the right. You can change in there and do skincare, if you like. Taeyeon owns a shit ton of products and she doesn't mind sharing."
"Thank you," Jimin nodded as she began to walk out but then she stopped in her steps. She turned around and looked at Minjeong.
"Not only for the clothes or the skincare but... for tonight. You really didn't have to do this, you know? But, I owe you big time. I appreciate this so much, truly."
Minjeong tilted her head and showed Jimin the most genuine smile. She stood up and walked towards Jimin only to stand right in front of her, catching the latter off guard.
Minjeong brushed a couple strands from Jimin's face and tucked them behind her ear and left her hand resting on her jaw.
"You're very welcome, Jimin. Anything for you."
Jimin wasn't expected to be this close to Minjeong again and she surely didn't expect the physical contact. She exhaled forcefully as she shyly looked down and chuckled awkwardly.
"I'm going to, uh, go to the bathroom now," Jimin uttered out, "Thanks again, Minjeong."
"Of course. Take your time."
—
Jimin rolled over on her back as she stared at the ceiling. She looked at the clock that was on Minjeong's dresser.
2:46 am.
She let out a sigh and rubbed her eyes. She couldn't sleep at all. There's a shit ton of thoughts swimming around in Jimin's mind and because of then, she's wide awake.
"I'm guessing you can't sleep too, huh?"
Jimin let out a squeak as she jumped a little bit. She turned around and saw Minjeong looking at her. She expected Minjeong to be asleep by now but clearly she's wrong. Minjeong looked wide awake as well.
"Yeah... I don't know why though," Jimin sighed.
"Well," Minjeong scooted closer to Jimin, "I've got an idea."
Oh?
"It's because you're thinking about me."
Oh.
"About us."
Oh...
Jimin was at a loss for words, "Minjeong... I-I barely know you. We met just the other day. There is no us yet."
"Yes, I know that," Minjeong sighed, "But, come on. You can't deny that what we have going on is different."
She reached out and cupped Jimin's cheek and stroked it with her thumb. Jimin stopped breathing for a second. The whole room was dark except for the moon shining through the window. It hit Minjeong face and accentuated all her best features.
"You feel the connection too, right?"
"Uh..." Jimin paused, "I guess so..? I just don't know what to think right now."
"Well, maybe you don't have to think at all right now," Minjeong uttered.
"Huh? Minjeong, what do you me-"
Minjeong cut her off as she pulled Jimin in to kiss her. Jimin squeaked while her eyes were wide open but sank into the kiss nonetheless.
It wasn't a heated passionate kiss but more of a soft kiss. There wasn't no tongue involved, it was sweet. Minjeong brought up her other hand and cupped the other side of Jimin's jaw as the latter balled up the fabric of the hem of Minjeong's T-shirt.
They both pulled away and caught their breaths, especially Jimin who was caught off guard at the unexpected kiss.
She deeply sighed, "Minjeong... that was-"
"Shhh," Minjeong shushed as she moved even closer into Jimin's arms. Jimin tensed up at the unexpected contact, "Let's talk more about it in the morning, yeah?"
Jimin couldn't help but smile and wrapped her arms around Minjeong.
"Sounds good.”
—
Jimin woke up the next day feeling great. It was the first time in a long time that she had an actual good rest. She grabbed her phone from the nightstand and checked the time.
8:36 am.
"Hm, early," Jimin muttered to herself. She looked around and noticed Minjeong wasn't in bed.
Looks like she's been up.
Jimin stood up and stretched. She slowly walked out of Minjeong's bedroom to hear coffee brewing and something being cooked on the stove. She shrugged it off and waltzed into the bathroom.
After freshening up, Jimin makes her way downstairs. The smell of maple syrup and hazelnut creamer becomes stronger and stronger everytime she takes a step down. Once her foot hits the floor, she can see Minjeong being busy in the kitchen.
“It smells great down here.”
Minjeong jumped at the voice behind her and turned around to see Jimin making herself comfortable on a seat at the table.
“God, you scared me,” Minjeong chuckled as she brought over two plates of pancakes, one for her and the other for Jimin. The latter smiled at the gesture.
“Did you have a good sleep?” Jimin asked as she drowned her pancakes with syrup, “I know we didn’t necessarily sleep early.”
“Don’t leave it out,” Minjeong muttered.
Jimin halted cutting her pancakes and looked up at Minjeong, puzzled.
“Pardon m-“
“Our kiss,” Minjeong huffed, “Don’t pretend like it never happened.”
Jimin sighed, “I’m not... it’s just taking me a while to process.”
Minjeong slowly nodded as she began eating. Silence began to grow between the two as numerous of thoughts began popping up in their heads.
“Do you regret it?” Minjeong asked in a quiet voice, “The kiss? Like, do you regret kissing me back?”
Jimin didn’t answer right away but she already knew the answer to that.
“No,” She said simply with a mouth full of pancakes, “What about you? Do you regret kissing me in the first place?”
“Nope and I never will,” Minjeong said almost immediately, unlike Jimin. The latter felt a little warm at her response.
“So, what does this leave us now?” Jimin spoke up, “I mean, that kiss. Now what?”
“Well,” Minjeong put her utensils down and gave her full attention to the girl in front of her, the latter doing the same, “I still don’t know a lot about you. I mean, I literally met you two days ago. Kissing you last night probably wasn’t the wisest thing to do but nevertheless, I didn’t regret doing it. But, I do want to know you better so I hope we can get together like this again.”
“Wait... are you asking me on a date?” Jimin asked.
Minjeong giggled, “You said it not me.”
Jimin smiled a bit as she blushed, “Well, I wouldn’t mind going on one with you.”
“Likewise, Jimin,” Minjeong breathed out. Jimin couldn’t wipe away her grin as her heart began to beat a little faster.
“Can I ask you something?” Minjeong spoke after a brief moment of silence.
“Depends, what is it?” Jimin answered curiously.
“What do you see me as?” Minjeong shyly asked.
Jimin smiled at the latter as she looked down, the answer shining in bright lights in her mind.
“I see you as the cute blonde next door.”
