Round 1
Stage: Castle Siege
Fighters: Takamaru (Mii S) vs Black Knight (Mii S)
Since arriving here the people of this castle have been looking to me for their protection. The long siege will soon be over, all I need to do is hold back this final push of theirs. But that dark armored knight is skilled with the sword, ours will be a fierce battle.
Round 2
Stage: Bridge of Eldin
Fighters: Takamaru (Mii S) & Link vs Yiga Clan (Mii S) & Yiga Clan (Mii S)
With the defense of the castle complete I have returned to my wandering. It wasn't long before I found trouble once again. Two masked assassins were assaulting a traveler. The traveler looked to be a capable warrior, but I'll never turn away from someone in trouble.
Round 3
Stage: Gerudo Valley
Fighters: Takamaru (Mii S) & Link vs Yiga Clan (Mii S) & Wolf
Special Condition: Hazards On.
After we defeated the assassins, the traveler introduced himself to me. His name is Link and he is investigating the Yiga Clan, the people who attacked him. He suspects they have some sinister plot in mind. I loathe groups of ruffians such as them so I offered my aid. Link and I quickly formed a close bond, if I didn't know better I'd think he were some long lost relative. His fighting style is fascinating with his use of many different weapons.
Eventually we arrived in the valley where the Yiga were hiding. They had been waiting for us, and even hired a mysterious mercenary with strange weapons to fight us. The cackle of witches echoing through the valley made it clear this wouldn't be a simple battle.
Round 4
Stage: Coliseum
Fighters: Takamaru (Mii S) & Link vs Dark Pit & Lucario
The mercenary, Wolf, admitted defeat, claiming fighting us was too much for what he had been paid. With that fight behind us we made our way into the Yiga base. There we found documents revealing their plans. The Yiga Clan were now working for the wrathful nature goddess Viridi, and had already created the perfect opening for her to unleash a weapon capable of destroying humanity and all traces of it, the Reset Bomb.
The siege that I broke had been part of their plan, we found evidence that the Yiga were the ones who had set the war in motion. By breaking the siege I denied their first plan for where to drop the Reset Bomb, but wars are rarely without battlefields, and thanks to the Yiga’s spies in both sides they know exactly where they are. And now so do we.
On our way out two of Viridi's servants appeared to fight us, a dark winged angel, and a strange blue jackal like creature. If we want to leave with what we’ve learned we have no choice but to take them on.
Round 5
Stage: Mushroomy Kingdom
Fighters: Takamaru (Mii S) & Link vs Enderman & Mr. Game & Watch
After besting Viridi’s servants we ran towards where her Reset Bomb was going to be dropped. Unfortunately, more of her minions barred our path. This time we were confronted by a strange creature that almost seemed to be two dimensional, and an abnormally tall and thin entity. We don’t have the time to stop and engage in a proper battle, we’ll simply have to fight them off as we make our way forward.
Round 6
Stage: Reset Bomb Forest
Fighters: Takamaru (Mii S) vs Viridi (Mii S)
Special Condition: Items from Kid Icarus turned on.
We finally made it to the battlefield where Viridi was planning to unleash her weapon. The dark winged angel appeared once more to bar our path, but Link engaged him in battle so I could continue on ahead. There are many strange weapons strewn about this battlefield. To defeat Viridi I’ll use what I’ve learned of Link’s fighting style to take advantage of those weapons.
Bonus Round
Stage: Reset Bomb Forest
Fighters: Link vs Dark Pit
Viridi’s angel seems intent on avenging his earlier defeat against us. That seems to bother him more than the idea of her plans being foiled. He’ll make it harder to fight Viridi and we don’t have time to spare, so I’ll fight him myself while Takamaru goes to challenge Viridi. Takamaru can defeat Viridi on his own, I believe in him.
Epilogue: It’s done, the cruel goddess Viridi has been defeated. Link caught up with me just as the battle came to an end. There’s no more reason for us to travel together, but neither of us enjoyed going our separate ways. Link gave me a special slate that can contact him from any distance, amongst other things. I look forward to when our paths cross again.
