There’s just something about him.
Something about the way he smiled. Something about the way his smile would turn to a laugh, and it’d lit up the whole room, including Mourinho and even the stern Hugo. Sonny could tease and trick the lads all he wanted, but it’s never annoying.
There’s just something about Son Heung-Min.
“Hi, Dele!”
It’s been a while, and Dele missed squeezing Sonny in his arms when the boy entered the changing room. How can a simple hug be so energizing and warming at the same time? It did feel like it’s been a while, Dele surprised himself realizing they just did this yesterday, and the day before. This was basically their pre-training ritual.
Yeah. Every minute without Sonny was just...dull.
“Okay, let me go,” Sonny moaned. “Deleeee,”
“No. Stay put,”
“Okay, but you give me a piggyback ride later!”
And Dele obliged. He entered the field being a vehicle to laughing Sonny. Actually, it’s a normal, recurring scene that the lads saw many times before. It didn’t even trigger anything anymore for them, except Serge rolling his eyes at them.
Training went on, and Dele knew he would turn bitter even just a bit. It’s not long before Sonny would share his laughs with Sergio, or Harry. They’re all buddies, yeah, but Dele couldn’t help but feel...jealous.
Jealous, as if Sonny was his. As if Sonny was his but he cheated with the other lads. As if Dele would do something about his pathetic jealous heart.
Would I?
There’s just something about Sonny, and how Dele felt about it was just getting stronger.
