Hilda is walking down the street, looking around Trolberg as she walks along the sidewalk. She walks down the intersection and see a sidewalk to a road that she knows leads to Frida's house.
"Oh good, the road to Frida's house. I hope David is there too." Hilda thinks as she walked out of the sidewalk and across the street.
But while she is walking across the street, she looks to the left and sees a ton of cars coming towards the street she's walking across.
Hilda gets a little worried and walks a little bit faster but the street feels widened, like it's width had been warped to enormous sizes.
She decides to run across the other side of the street but the other side of the street feels so far away now and now she feels like she's running towards a light in the end of a tunnel.
As she kept running, she looked again to the left and saw the cars coming ever nearer to her and nobody has even honked their horns at her, and while she looked at the left while running, she tripped and fell to the ground, and now the other side closes within of itself.
She tries getting up but she feels stuck to the ground and tried getting out of the ground.
But it's too late, the cars are now arriving at 50 mph and she's still stuck and one of the cars almost hit her face.
Before the cars even hit her, she was woken up by Johanna, who noticed her daughter screaming and tossing around the bed.
"Hilda!" Her mother screamed.
The only thing she could see, besides her mothers worried face, was the clock, which was pointing at 9:27
"Oh my god... Are you okay!?"
"I'm fine, mum, I, I just had a nightmare..."
A sigh comes from her mom "well, atleast you're fine."
Hilda got up, thinking nothing of it
"I'll go brush my teeth, Mum!"
"Hild-" Johanna was quickly cut off from Hilda while she got out of the room.
She went to the bathroom and prepared her toothbrush, she looked into the mirror and asked herself of what she just dreamed of. She thought it was marras, but marras don't give dreams without their iconic green glow and she remembers that her dream didn't have a green glow. She still pondered about it before continuing to brush her teeth.
She now got out of the bathroom with a ponytail in her hair and went to the table to grab a bread and and started eating it while she was still thinking of what that dream was about.
While she ate around 5 pieces of bread in a row, Johanna looked at Hilda and became worried of what happened this morning before continuing on to her graphic design commissions.
Hilda then finished her meal and fixed the table before going out and waving her hand at her mom before going out.
"Hey mom, I'm just going to my friends. Goodbye." Hilda waved her hand at Johanna before leaving.
She walked down the sidewalk thinking of what to do with David and Frida, and while she was walking down the sidewalk she looked around the street for details and then she started seeing that as she walked down the sidewalk, she keeps seeing the same things from her dream, the street, the sidewalk, the sky ,she felt uneasy until she saw the sidewalk that leads to Frida's house.
She now became worried and now starting to slowly sweat profusely again and then chose to keep walking straight ahead instead of across the street.
And while she walked down the sidewalk, she sees an intersection but while making a turn for the left, she stumbles on David walking towards the sidewalk she planned to go.
"Aaghh!" David stumbled at her sudden appearance and backed off a little before calming.
"Oh, sorry David. I didn't see you there." Hilda apologizes to David for stumbling at him all of a sudden.
"It's fine, Hilda. I'm going to Frida's by the way. Are you going to Frida's too?" David accepts her apology with a smile before asking her if she is also going to Frida.
"Oh yeah, I'm also going there." Hilda responds back to David and walked across the street, with her fears at an all time high, she kept looking left and right and grabbed David's hand for safety, which surprised him again.
As they walked, Hilda noticed that some cars were starting to get bunched up
"Umm, David? Can we w-walk Faster?"
"Sure, Hilda!"
As they walked, David noticed that Hilda kept glancing at the cars
Before David could say anything, Hilda grabbed his hand very hard.
He slightly jumped.
"Hilda? Are you okay?"
"Y-Yep!"
"You're acting... Different"
I'm fine, I swear!
David shrugged it off
They finished the walk to Frida's house.
*Knock Knock
Frida's mother opened the door
"Oh, Hello!"
She turned to the stairs
"Frida! Your friends are here!"
"Coming, Mom!"
"Hey, Hilda!" Frida came walking down the stairs while carrying a book.
"H-Hi, Frida, Can we come in your room?"
"Umm, sure!"
The trio walked up the stairs, Hilda still sweating and thinking about her nightmare.
"So, Hilda, Why did you want to come to my room?"
"Well, I had a dream about a car crash, and..." Hilda paused. She was thinking that they would shrug it off and laugh, but she said what happened anyways.
"...Everything from that dream is coming true..."
Immediately, David started to laugh. As he laughed, he saw that Hilda started to cry.
"Hilda! I-I'm sorry!"
"It's ok, David. I didn't expect anybody to believe me anyways..."
"Hi-Hilda! We believe you!" Frida patted her back to try and get her to stop crying. She looked at David with an angry face
"David, Why did you do that? Why did you laugh at her?"
"Frida, I said sorry! I didn't know that she would cry..."
*sigh* "It's okay, David."
Hilda was still crying, even though Frida and David were comforting her and saying that they believed her. Although they were trying, they couldn't get her to calm down.
*sigh* "Okay guys, Can I tell you about the d-dream now?"
"Yes!" Frida and David both shouted. Frida wanted to know more about the dream so she could understand more about humans, as they were entering the hard part about social studies. David just wanted Hilda to feel happy and that he could say sorry for what he did. Hilda decided to tell them what happened.
Hilda explained her dream, about how the cars were bunched up, and how one of them hit her.
"Hilda, it's probably just traffic! It always happens, right?"
"Yea but..." Hilda paused
"I have an Idea! We'll all go outside and prove that nothing bad will happen"
"Frida, are you sure that's a good Idea?"
"Of course, David!" Frida said with a smile, but when she saw a small tear form in Hilda's eye, that smile faded away.
"Actually, how about you rest at my house? you should take a short nap!"
"Well, sure." Frida put an extra pillow on her bed, then let Hilda nap
Hilda remembered that last time she tried to sleep on purpose, she couldn't sleep at all.
Hilda woke up 5 minutes later.
"Alright, I-I'm feeling good! le-let's go!"
David opened the door, and they all left Frida's room.
"Bye, mom!" Frida said as she went outside with the others. "Bye, honey! Remember to-" Her mom was cut off when They closed the door.
"See, Hilda! Nothing bad is gonna happen!"
"Oh, well, thanks! I'm gonna go back-"
CRASH
A car crashed right in front of the trio.
"What the-"
David was interrupted by another crash.
Before anybody could react, a screw went flying into David's head.
"DAVID!!" Frida and Hilda screamed at the same time.
As Frida desperately tried to get David back up, there were crashes everywhere.
Screams and crashes filled the air, crying was a small touch every once and a while.
"N-No! What even is happening?!" Hilda yelled at the air while holding back her tears.
"HILDA!!"
Hilda turned around instantly and see that it was her mother. As she hit the brakes, she realized that the brakes were braking too hard and halted the car immediately, flinging Johanna out of the car and into the pile, thankfully she survived.
"H-Hilda! G-Get out of here! Call Saf-" Right before she finished her sentence, an engine flew out of another crash, hitting a traffic light and letting it fall to the ground, crushing Johanna instantly.
Hilda was standing in shock after seeing her own mother die.
"Hilda!!" Frida screamed. Hilda tried to turn around and run to Frida, but she felt she couldn't move. She tried to scream, nothing happened. She didn't know what was happening, but she was horrified.
"Miss! Get out of the way!!" A familiar voice said.
Hilda could finally turn around, and she saw that it was the head of the safety patrol, Erik Ahlberg.
"What are you doing? Come here!" He shouted. Hilda finally moved from her spot, tears running down her face like waterfalls.
"M-My Mum just died! H-Help me!!!!" She screamed. She almost reached Erik, when a flying wheel almost beheaded her. She decided she had enough. She sat down and started to sob. Hilda accepted that she was going to die.
Erik started to run towards Hilda, dodging the fire and car parts. Frida had gotten scared and ran away. Erik finally reached Hilda.
"Ma'am, come with me, get away from the danger!". Hilda looked up at Erik for a second. She was still crying heavily. Erik gave her his hand. After a second of hesitation, she grabbed his hand.
"W-Where are we going?" She was following Erik, who was running as fast as he could. "Go there, It's safe." He replied, pointing to across the street, where there were many crying and screaming bystanders. Just as she started running there, she heard a scream of pain that she recognized.
"THE LIBRARIAN!!" She screamed. She remembered that she saw the library on fire.
She saw Kaisa running towards her, her shoe on fire.
"Another Survivor!" Erik said. he started running towards the librarian
"Th-Thanks." Kaisa said. They started running back.
"W-Watch out!!" Hilda screamed. Before any of them could react, a burning car came crashing into them, crushing both of them.
Hilda screamed again, she was horrified and wondering what was happening.
She started running back to the street, some people coming to help her.
Just as she was about to reach them, she heard an explosion. She turned around, seeing the last thing she would ever see.
A Speeding engine, coming from the car that killed Kaisa and Erik. It hit her face, killing her instantly.
And then she woke up.
