"Nooooo," Henrik whined. He tried to sit up, but felt too weak to. Jackie sat at the edge of the bed with a pitying look on his face. "I can't take today off."
"You're sick, Babe," Jackie said. "You're staying home. Just lay back and relax, I'll bring your medicine and food in a minute."
The good doctor had gotten sick, which wasn't a surprise since it was flu season. His younger daughter had been sick recently. It was only a matter of time before he caught it as well. Now, Jackie had a sick, agitated old man on his hands.
"You have work today, you need to go in." Henrik clutched his blanket closer. "I can take care of myself, if you insist on me staying home."
Jackie shook his head. "I'm calling in sick today as well, I don't want you to be alone. Now lay back."
"But-"
The hero slowly pressed his finger against Henrik's lips. "Shhhhhhhhh. I don't care. Lay back."

Ten minutes later, Jackie returned to his boyfriend's room with a large tray. "Hey Babe, sorry it took so long. I couldn't find the right medicine at first-" He stopped when he looked over at the bed. There lay Henrik, eyes closed and chest slowly rising and falling. "Oh."
However, he didn't mind. He sat the tray on Henrik's desk, then pulled out the chair and sat down. Then, he started playing some music on his phone and picked up a book from the bookshelf. Though Jackie didn't admit it, he liked to read some of the books in Henrik's room. He also thought about asking him how to speak German.
Time passed, and before he knew it Henrik stirred awake. Jackie hastily put away the book and smiled. "You're awake! How do you feel?"
It took a minute for Henrik to process the question. "Hurts," he croaked.
"What hurts?" Jackie asked. The doctor slowly put his hand to his forehead. "Oh, your head?"
Henrik nodded. "Yeah..."
Nodding as well, Jackie picked up some pills from the tray, along with the cup of water. "Can you sit up? I have your medicine here." His boyfriend pushed himself up, and Jackie put down what he was holding to help him. Then, he gave the first pill and cup of water to Henrik. "Here, this is for your sinuses."
The doctor took a sip of water, then popped the pill into his mouth and swallowed. Jackie gave him the second one. "And this one?"
"Benadryl. I know it helps you sleep better. I have some Jello and Gatorade for you too." Nodding once more, Henrik swallowed his second pill. Jackie took the now-empty cup from his hand and replaced it with a Jello cup and spoon. "Eat this, and I'll let you sleep some."
He watched while Henrik opened the Jello and ate it. His eyes closed once more, and he smiled with every mouthful. When he was done, he lay back again.
"Do you want me to turn off the lights?"
"Yes, please." Jackie got up and flicked the light switch, and was about to leave when he heard Henrik mumble "wait..."
"Yeah?" the hero asked, turning around.
"...can you bring me Spots?"
Jackie smiled. "Of course, Babe." He went to the closet and dug around for a minute, before producing a black and white stuffed dog. It belonged to his older daughter when she was a kid, a toy that Henrik had became attached to. Bringing it over to his boyfriend's bed, he handed it to him. "Here."
"...thank you." Once again, Jackie went to leave, but Henrik stopped him again. "Jackie?"
"Yeah?"
Henrik smiled warmly. "I love you, Darling."
"I love you too, Babe."
