Chapter Text
I woke up to a piano playing near my head. I open my eyes and looked around the noise. I lifted my pillow a little and the sound was coming from my alarm. I pressed the stop button on my phone screen and my notifications popped up. The time read '7:00' and my battery percentage was 100. I peeled back my covers and my feet touched the cold hardwood floor. I stood and walked my way towards my closet. I picked out the long sleeve white button-up, gray jacket with the blue-green stripes and the blue-green skirt that reached about mid thigh on me, along with the red tie. I quickly ran to the bathroom to shower and get dressed. I had put my hair into my bonnet and stepped into the shower, washed up twice and dried myself before moisturizing and getting dressed. I was almost done brushing my teeth when there was a knock on the bathroom door. I opened the door and there stood my dad.
"You excited?" He asked smiling at me while stepping into the bathroom to stand behind while I rinsed the toothpaste out of my mouth.
"Maybe not as excited as you are dad, but I'm excited nonetheless." I smiled at him through the mirror and walked out of the bathroom, turning off the light.
"Well, I have to be, I went to Shiketsu High as a hero-in-training. But my daughter is going to U.A!!" He bear hugged me and spun me around making me a little dizzy.
"Alright dad. You going to have let go as some point or else I'm going to be late plus I have to go through mom so I really don't want to be late just because my parents were sending me off to boarding school." I said as dad finally let me but still kept me at arms length.
My dad laughed lightly and smiled, his eyes started to look glossy. *Oh no, He's going to cry again.*
"Dad! Please, don't cry again. I'm not dying, I'm only going to school. You'll still see me on weekends and holidays. You would think mom would be the emotional one." I sighed as I was walking down the stairs and into the dining room where pancakes, bacon, eggs, biscuits, grape jelly, strawberries, bananas and cantaloupe were waiting on the table with mom sitting down at the table.
"Good Morning, Izumi. How did you sleep? Are you feeling okay? Do you need stay home? Do you need anything? Do you need me or dad to drive you school because we can. The store doesn't open until 8." My mom asked while stacking way too many pancakes onto my plate. Dad was in kitchen bagging my lunch. I sighed. *Overbearing parents.*
"You guys know they serve lunch at the school right?" I asked looking between my parents while taking a seat at the dining table and cutting up the 4 pancakes that I left on my plate after taking the extra amount that my mom put on it.
"We don't know what kind of food they serve there." Dad said he packed the extra food away into a separate bag.
"Yeah, what if they food isn't any of your favorites-" Mom said standing up, her eyes becoming wide and eyebrows scrunched together.
"Or it could be poisoned by a villain." Dad suggested while handing the extra bag of food.
"U.A has the best security system. There's nothing to worried about and if there was, why would you guys allow me to go there in the first place?" I asked while shoving pancakes into my mouth. My phone buzzing in jacket pocket. I pulled out my phone the caller ID showing a picture of Akuma sitting on a tree branch smiling at the camera and the name saying 'Soulmate'. I accepted the call and put it on speaker.
"Whaddup?" I asked while looking at parents who still discussing the food options at U.A.
"What are you doing? We need to get to school in order to get our classroom and dorm building." Akuma asked the wind picking up through the speaker.
"My parents decided to make me a big breakfast and stuff like hanzel and gretel since I'll only be able see them on Sundays if I'm not swapped with homework or don't have already plans." I laughed a little because my parents offended faces.
"Ohhh. I'm walking in right now. My mom only gave me a bowl of cereal so, I'm starving." Akuma said as she walked through the door of house and we made eye contact. We both hung up the phone as she sat down in the extra chair at the dining table.
"Morning Yurei. How are you feeling today? Nervous? Excited?" Mom once again interrogating.
"Feeling pretty good. Of course, nervous. I mean, come on it's U.A the top school in japan for heroes. These pancakes are delicious." Akuma said while literally stuffing her face with anything she could reach.
"Don't inhale the food without digesting it first sheesh. We still have to get school on time remember and we don't need you needing to go to the bathroom every 10 minutes because you overstuffed yourself with breakfast." I said while smacking Akuma's hand as tried to reach for the fruit.
"Ughh. Fine. Let's go." Akuma groaned as she took one last bite of a pancake. I got up and put my plate in the sink and hugged mom and dad saying "I love you" and "see you later" before grabbing my backpack at the door and walking out closing the door behind me.
Akuma and I walked down the street to the bus stop in order to get to the train station that go to U.A. We arrived at the bus stop as soon as the bus pulled up. We slide our cards over the card swipe on the bus and took seats closest the exit in the middle. We arrived at the train station and looked at the departing\arrival times. We found the train and waited in line behind a middle aged woman. I was very nervous, this was the first time I get use my quirk as a focused study instead of basic things like math, english and some type of science. I am really hoping that my new classmates aren't assholes and bitches. I know Akuma will be there with me every step of the way and I will be with her.
We were now on the train looking at the city because prior to being in Japan, we lived in New York City in the United States. We were so nervous and excited when U.A announced that they were accepting transfer students. We were excited that we got even a chance to apply to the school and nervous because we were worried either one of us would be accepted or neither one of us were accepted but now we don't have to worry to making it to school. We have to now worry about passing the classes that are going to give us.
We had hear about the villain attacks that happened at the school and run-ins some of the students had with the League of Villains. Akuma and I weren't nervous or scared of the League of Villains, we just kind of hoped that we weren't going to have those run-ins until we graduated and completed our first years as Pro-Heroes.
We both wanted to work with Muriko(The bunny hero) We loved how she is so confident and the fact that she's black and the #5 Hero in all of Japan is amazing. She's our Idol. We are also hoping we get to meet All Might at least once while we are attending U.A.
"*Now Arriving at Musutafu, Japan."* We heard the intercom come through the speaker. We gather our bags and walked out the train, up the stairs and out of the gate. We took deep breathes before practically running down the street following the GPS on my phone towards the school. We arrived at the school with 15 minutes to spare before homeroom apparently according to the time table that we was looking at on Akuma's phone.
