Harry looked down at his godson. Small, beautiful, smiling. Too young to feel the absence of his mother who shared his electric smile, or his father who’s lanky swagger he would adopt in his teens. He wondered how anybody could look at a child like this, bred of pure love, and see an annoyance, a hindrance, something to be gossiped about like an ugly mole. He and Teddy would never share blood but his parents chose him to take care of their greatest treasure- to someday be able to guide him in the right direction. Harry felt so lucky to be able to fulfill that for his friends. What a wonderful gift.
