Puffy stood at her brother's grave, It was the place she went to after everyone went to bed. The sun was rising by this time, Puffy looked down at the flowers she brought and....and the paper they made together, They had a whole plan made for their future. Puffy and her brother always stuck together, inseparable as Sam would say, Her brother stopped talking to her unless he was in knee deep trouble. She was always there for him, but the last time they spoke was...twelve Years ago.
To her it felt like just yesterday they were inseparable. She had nothing prepared to say to him but She had everything prepared to say. Puffy looked at the words and said, "That son of a bitch did it. You did what you said you'd never do, not yet anyways. It was meant to be us forever! Not just you and me alone, away from each other."
Puffy in her blinded...grief threw the flowers on the floor
"It wasn't meant to be us away from each other! We had everything planned! but we didn't end up like that. Why. why did you fucking leave me? You left me to rot, You're just an asshole like everyone has said. I told you to not drink yourself to death and look at what you've done! I hate you. So fucking much. but I can't hate you, you were my brother, You left me! you fucking jackass!"
By this time Puffy was screaming at the top of her lungs, fighting the tears. She heard that Schlatt died, That's why she was there in the first place. She already went through denial, but now is anger, She was fairly mad at Her own brother for dying, something he couldn't have stopped. I mean he could've but unhealthy coping mechanisms are hard to stop.
Puffy opened the paper she had rolled up. She looked at his border-line chicken scratch, which she could perfectly read. Being used to his chicken scratch handwriting. Warm tears fell onto the paper, She wanted to rip it but she couldn't bring herself to do it. Puffy sat down and looked at the flowers “I...I wish I could say this all to your face, but hey! You’re fucking dead. Why did you have to die, right before I got here. But it's just my luck.”
She knew a few other people tend to come here every now and then. Puffy has seen quackity, Tubbo, a few others paying their respects. But she hasn’t seen Sam yet...The person that Schlatt has always looked up to. Sam and Him had wine nights, why? Who knows just random bullshit. Puffy has sat with quackity while he was visiting before, She let him talk to her about Schlatt, Quackity told her everything that happened, why his wings were clipped, How bad Schlatt got with the drinking. She knew Schlatt couldn’t even harm a fly but no one else did expect for his close friends. Quackity knew it too, considering the fact that they were once engaged before he died. Schlatt was...scared to hurt anyone, afraid he’d turn into someone he hates. He hated people seeing his emotions so he hid them, and covered them up. Unhealthy, yes, but that was him. Puffy took a deep breath and Mumbled “I hope you’re proud of everything you’ve done, Leaving me, tubbo, dream, quackity, and Sam Behind. You left everyone you had an ounce of love for behind. I really hope you’re proud”
There were footsteps in the grass. Puffy didn’t hear the steps due to being caught up in the moment. Quackity looked at puffy and then walked up to her “You good?”
Puffy jumped a bit “Oh, I didn’t notice you were here...how much did you see?”
“Enough to understand why you’re mad”
Puffy nodded “okay, I should’ve guessed you’d come here sooner or later”
Quackity nodded “Yeah, but hey I’m sure he would’ve appreciated a bit that we’re both here”
“Or decide to bombard me with questions, but either is fine since, if he was here and not dead, we’d be spending time together.” Puffy laughed at the flowers “God I am pissed at him huh..”
They were just chatting now. About schlatt, about everything going on, About anything.
Puffy sighed “If-”
Quackity cut her off “it’s way too late for ifs, he’s gone, and it’s better that way because he was going to end up dead either way because of how he was treating himself”
“Treating?”
“Smoking, Drinking, etc”
“Oh, right, he was that way for a while now…”
Quackity sighed “I know, but it was going to happen sooner or later. Even if anyone wanted it..I can’t imagine how he felt but I like it that way”
Puffy nodded and hesitated “How...no not how, Who was with him when he died?”
“Everyone”
“Everyone?”
Quackity nodded. “Everyone”
Puffy nodded and stared at the grave “everyone...but wasn’t everyone against him?”
Quackity nodded, he was sitting back while puffy was hunched over.
Quackity asked, "What was he like growing up?"
Puffy smiled a bit "Protective" She only wanted to remember the good parts of their childhood, but their parents...weren't the best. and she knows that. "But closed off, Private, Goofy, like normal. and Sweet"
"Sweet?"
Puffy nodded "He was"
Quackity laughed a bit "When he was sober he was nice, but also sometimes when he wasn't. You know he could never hurt a fly but his words hurt."
Puffy nodded "He always had his empty threats, He'd never go through with them it was just to scare people, He was good at that but if you knew him inside and out you know he was lying because he is one terrible liar"
Quackity laughed "Yeah he was, He couldn't lie to save his life"
Puffy smiled, yet to realize that she was flipping in and out of present tense and past tense. "Yeah"
Quackity sighed "But I should get going, I have a meeting later with the cabinet, dream, and Tommy"
Puffy "Yeah...I should too, cya Quackity"
"Cya puffy"
