Chapter Text

“Seduce me with your words,” the Duolingo Owl whispers, his beak clicking alluringly next to your ear.  “Talk to me in the language of love.”

He steps back, ruffling his handsome green feathers as he settles and capturing you with a sultry look from his giant owl eyes.

“Hola guapo,” you say, running a hand through luxurious emerald plumage.  Your hand sinks in to be caressed by fluffy down as you admire the virile mint curls adorning his manly, puffed up chest.  He shudders under your ministrations, and your breath quickens in response.  “Te ves muy bien.”

He watches you intently as you circle him.  You continue past his shoulder and around to his back, taking in his powerful thighs and the masculine cut of his tail.  His head pivots to follow your movement, turning almost 180 degrees.  You meet his eyes again.  They’re unreadable, all pupil.  Or maybe, you think with a shiver, he’s just as turned on as you are.

“Tienes ojos muy bonitos,” you breathe, leaning ever so slightly closer, caught as you are in the gravitational pull of that enticing gaze.  “¿Qué vas a hacer más tarde?”

He moves toward you, and you mirror the movement, unable to stay away.  “Tú.”

Chapter Text

A green feather floats down as you unlock your door and reach for the handle.

Behind you, a presence looms, dark and sensual.  Feathers tickle your shoulder, sparking awareness along your skin.

“Hi,” he whispers, voice husky.  “It’s Duo.”

You picture the Duolingo Owl standing behind you, perched lithely on your front step, brought to you on silent wings.  Your knees go weak, so aware in his presence of the knowledge, power, and pure, animal magnetism radiating from his sculpted, owl frame.

“Duo,” you gasp.  It’s all you can do to not collapse backwards into his waiting wings, to let him scoop you up and carry you into your love nest.  “You… Tú…”  You can barely think in your native language, much less Spanish, or Japanese, or any of the myriad tongues your polyglottal teacher has so generously shared.

The smooth curve of his beak strokes the heated shell of your ear.  “It’s time for your daily Spanish lesson.  Are you ready to continue…”  He pauses as you shudder against him, his words laced with promise, “…your streak?”

Notes:

Is Duo sounding a bit... robotic, lately? Coming soon, in the thrilling conclusion to Los Disparates trilogy!

Notes:

Translations (from the Duolingo Spanish flirting module)
Hola guapo - Hi handsome
Te ves muy bien - You look great
Tienes ojos muy bonitos - You have beautiful eyes
¿Qué vas a hacer más tarde? - Are you doing anything later?
Tú - You

My esteemed Spanish language advisor finalfrontierpioneer has informed me that, to their knowledge, the verb “hacer” does not have the same slang meaning that “to do” has in English, and that even if it did, a more correct response would be “te voy a hacer.” While the Duolingo Owl would know this, I chose not to correct his response as a character decision, to show that even a consummate professional such as the Duolingo Owl can be consumed by passion in the moment.
