Since the beginning of the 21st century, there's a lot of changes that happened. Humans and Curse Spirits have been co-existed for a thousand years already, and there's a new race which is slowly emerging in number, the hybrid which are the half human and half curse spirit. Curse spirit can live with humans now if they are registered in the government and classified as ‘non-threatening’. Curse spirit who disrupt the peace and order are being executed by sorcerers.
Sorcerers are at the top hierarchy of the social status, below them are curse spirit and last are the normal citizens who cannot see a curse spirit. The three greatest packs of sorcerers, the Gojo, Zenin, and Ryoumen pack, have been on the top of the hierarchy. Each pack have the most talented and powerful sorcerers, joining them, generation after generation. The Gojo clan was being run by the current leader, Gojo Satoru. The Zenin clan was once again taken over by Fushiguro Toji. And lastly, the Ryoumen clan, which is being ran by Ryoumen Sukuna, the current most powerful sorcerer at the same time, the king of curses.
Now, it's the time of the year where the ranking of different packs will be re-evaluated by the elders. It's an event where sorcerers will exhibit their powers and capabilities. Each pack will battle each other, and the ranking will be decided on how many wins they will accumulate. The event started with the clash of packs. Each member of the pack, composed of their most powerful members, will battle each other and the pack who accumulate the most number of wins, will be the victor.
The event ended with the Ryoumen pack winning, coming in second was the Gojo pack and third was the Zenin. For the second event was the individual ranking of the sorcerers. In this event, all sorcerers will demonstrate their powers and the elders will evaluate it. If there's an objection on the rankings, the sorcerer may propose a battle to steal a spot. Sukuna was once again, the strongest sorcerer. Satoru and Toji challenge him for the sake of exhibition and to test if how strong they have become. But Sukuna defended his status, leaving Toji in the second place and Satoru in the third place.
For the third event is the goodwill event. It is a game of allied pack vs allied pack. Basically, it became a battle of the packs in the north boundary and packs in the south boundary. Thus, it became North vs South. The North pack was composed of the Gojo and Ryoumen packs. On the South was the Zenin and Kamo. It is a game where the group need to defeat some curse spirit and the more curse spirit they will eliminate, the more points they will gather. For this event, the North have won.
For the last event of the festival, is the survival of the fittest. Sorcerers from the audience could join this event. All they have to do is to defeat all the contestants inside the ring and the last man or group standing will be the winner. This event was used for scouting. Pack leaders can recruit the contestants they fancy, to join their pack. Of course, there is a prize money worth ten million yen.
The contestants slowly entered the ring. The ring was spacious enough to contain hundreds of people. The audience already know how difficult this event, so the less powerful chose to stay put while some who have confidence step up and take the risk.
Sukuna yawned as he notice that somehow the number of participants have doubled this year. He can at least see fifty people, and some are promising. Well, let's see if someone can pique his interest.
The event have begun. Sukuna watch the fight. Some people are already being thrown out the ring. Stepping outside the ring is considered a loss, aside from getting knock out. He assess each sorcerer inside the ring and none of them has piqued his interest. Then when it was down at twenty contestants, someone has caught Sukuna's attention.
"Woah, aren't they're just kids?!" Satoru exclaimed. Okay, so he is not the only one who had noticed.
"They're too small that I didn't notice them earlier. And they're just standing at the side of the ring." Satoru said. Sukuna hummed in agreement and stare at the kids who is still standing like they're just watching the adults to fight. The two kids are wearing some weird clothes.
They're wearing a mask that was painted with lines. The clothes they're wearing is a black colored buggy pants and a black colored light long sleeve. There was a two-color white sash that covered the chest area in a x pattern and another white sash on their waist, holding some weapons. There's a color red hood and a red scarf. They're also wearing a geta sandals over a white sock. The crimson hair caught Sukuna’s attention more. They’re the same shade as his eyes.
Since there's less contestants standing in the ring, other spectators have noticed the two kid. They're saying how dangerous it is to let kids inside the ring, but the survival of the fittest have no age limit. Anyone can join regardless of your age, gender, status, except for those who came from well-known and powerful packs. As long as you are an audience, you can join.
The contestants in the ring have noticed the two kids and began attacking them. The audiences shouted at the kids to run away and it's dangerous, but the two kids didn't budge an inch. When one of the contestants about to take charge, the two kids move in a flash and landed a clean black flash on their opponents. Beautiful pink, crimson and blue color of curse energy danced as the two kids continuously used their black flash to other contestants.
The audience was awed by the beautiful color of curse energy but for Sukuna, it was different. How can two kids, used black flash continuously and they make it look like it's so easy. The only person he knows who can do it is Nanami and--
"Wow, I remember Yuuji in them." Sukuna heard Satoru mumbled softly. Sukuna scoff and stop himself from snapping at the white-haired man. Satoru immediately noticed the change of atmosphere of his seatmate and a playful smirk adorned his face.
"Oh I'm sorry, did I say a taboo name?" Satoru tease Sukuna. The latter chose to ignore the man. But Satoru continued to tease him.
"Ah I miss my favorite student. I wonder how he is right now after he disappeared eleven years ago because someone was mad when his rut was finished and woke up next to an omega instead of an alpha?" Satoru chuckled as he remember that day. The day when he heard that the king of curses is with an omega during his rut, inside his domain.
Itadori Yuuji was a new recruit to his pack. He was the winner of the 21st Survival of the Fittest. He is an omega, but Satoru saw a great power of him, considering that he is a hybrid. The first time Yuuji and Sukuna met, Yuuji declared Sukuna as his fated mate, only to get rejected by the king of curses, which at the time was pinning for Megumi Fushiguro, the son of Toji Fushiguro but instead of joining the Zenin pack, he chose to join Satoru’s pack after his father became once again the leader of the Zenin.
Yuuji and Megumi became best friends. And since he got rejected by the king of curses, he respected it and step aside. But Megumi didn't like Sukuna at all. Even if Megumi keep on rejecting Sukuna, the alpha didn't give up on Megumi.
Sukuna noticed that Yuuji and Megumi became close, and he heard them one time that Megumi was asking for some advice about courtship. The omega, since have zero experience only said that Megumi should follow his heart on who he wanted to become mate with. which Megumi agrees. Sukuna thought that he can use Yuuji to become closer to Megumi, so he approached Yuuji and demanded the omega to help him. Since Yuji have a great heart, he help the king of curses.
There was a time that Yuuji set the two on a date, giving Sukuna some information like what Megumi would like to eat or do during that day. It seems effective at first, Yuuji thought that Megumi was finally warming up towards Sukuna. One night, Megumi told Yuji that he'll talk with Sukuna. So Yuuji deliver the message to Sukuna. The king of curses was delighted to the news and begin to prepare for the night.
When the time of dinner date, as what Yuuji would like to call it, Megumi called him in to his room. The omega was puzzled when he saw that Megumi is not yet ready to go out. He ask why the alpha is already in his pajamas. Megumi sighed and explained his plan to Yuuji.
“I’m going to stood him up. This way, he’ll get pissed of me, and hope he will leave me alone after this.” Megumi said. Yuuji was shocked when he heard his friend’s plan.
"But I thought--"
“That I’m beginning to like him? No. I’m only entertaining him so he won’t get mad at you for failing in trying to make me like him. But I didn’t like him even a bit. How could I like him if I know that he is supposed to be your fated mate?”
“Ehh? But I already told you that I understand if you end up with him. Besides, he clearly said that he wants to produce a full breed alpha pup. And there’s no way we’ll end up together. He likes you, Megumi. And I’ll be happy if you end up with him.” Yuuji said, trying not to croak his voice. He is sincere on his words but it still hurts him till now.
Megumi stared at him and sighed.
“You said that I should follow my heart on who I wanted to get mated with. And I’m following your advice. Sukuna, is not the person I want to get mated with. Like you, I’m looking forward for my fated mate.” Yuuji’s eyes widened.
“But how about—”
“I don’t care about him. And even if I don’t want him for you, I can’t do anything against it because he is supposed to be your mate. So, why not chase him so he’ll noticed you? I heard from Gojo san that if an omega will proposed a courtship to their fated alpha, the alpha will also feel that strong connection towards the omega and the urge to claim the omega as their mate.”
“I already did that but I got rejected.” Yuuji said laughing. Megumi was about to say something when he stand up and stretched his arms.
“And I already given up on him, after all, he is not the only alpha there, right?” Yuuji said playfully. Megumi smiled at him and nodded his head.
“Yeah, he does not deserve you.” Yuuji chuckled.
“I know right?” he said, before exiting Megumi’s room. While walking back to his own room, Yuuji sighed and started to think a way on how to face an angry alpha tomorrow morning. For sure, Sukuna will come to him for questions instead of his friend. And just his luck, Megumi has a scheduled mission with Inumaki senpai.
Just as he thought, the Gojo’s threshold was disturbed by a very angry alpha, Ryoumen Sukuna. Yuuji could already smell the pheromones of the alpha from the training ground but he chose to shake it off and focused on training with Maki senpai.
‘He will come to me, afterall’ Yuuji thought. And as he shove his weapon to the front, only to be stopped by Sukuna, Yuuji pulled the weapon back but Sukuna pulled it towards him instead, pulling Yuuji together with the weapon and caught the omega in his wrist.
“Leave us alone.” Sukuna commanded when his friends was about to rescue him from king of curses.
“Why would we? For what we can see, you’ll do harm to Yuuji.” Maki said and readying her self to attack. Sukuna look at the sorcerers and tilted his head in one side, glaring at Maki and Panda.
“Fine. Have it your way.” Maki dropped her stance but as soon as he did that, Sukuna and Yuuji disappeared in front of them. Yuuji felt that he’s being sucked in and falling. He landed on some sort of body water. He winced in pain and when he opened his eyes, he realized that he was inside the king of curses domain. Yuuji muttered a curse under his breath and look up to Sukuna who was already casually sitting on his throne.
“Megumi did not come last night.” The alpha said. Yuuji stand up and and massage his aching muscles.
“I thought you get his message already. I talk to him last night and he really intended to stood you up. It’s a message for you to fuck off already.”Yuuji bravely said. He look around and started to think how he can get out from this domain, but he already know the answer. He can’t.
“Really? Or is this your trick so you can have me instead?” Sukuna said, mocking Yuuji. The omega stop his self from chuckling. Seriously, how big is this man’s ego?
“If you won’t believe me, just wait for him to come back. Now, let me out of here.”
“Aren’t you being disrespectful? What happened to your kind demeanor?”
“I don’t need to act that way because my role as your wingman is over. And aren’t you being so serious for me to act friendly? Now let me out of here already.” Sukuna stand up and Yuuji immediately readied his self to run, but to where? Oh fuck. He watched as Sukuna slowly descending from his throne and as he walk closer to him, he sniff something off from the alpha. Something like...
‘Oh shit don’t tell me!’ His eyed widened upon the realization. Sukuna was already in his rut, since yesterday. And an alpha rut on the second day is already the stage where the person will act plainly base on his instinct. There’s a big possibility that Sukuna will devour him right at this moment, not caring if he want him or not. He covered his scent gland in attempt to suppress his smell. He don’t like to trigger this alpha anymore.
All of the sudden, the king of curse is in front of him. Sukuna caught his hand and pulled him towards him. Fiery crimson orbs stared at brownish orbs. Yuji tried to wiggle away but the alpha only hold him tighter.
"Since your friend is not here, how about you become my slut during my rut?" Yuuji trembled in fear. Sukuna look so serious and even though the alpha is acting on his instincts, he sure knows that after his rut, Sukuna will hate him more. So Yuuji fought the urge, he fought his instincts to get mated with his supposed to be fated mate. He resisted and resisted but Sukuna was too strong for him. Until he give up, he let his instincts to take over him too. And let himself get devoured by his fated mate for the first time, and he knows the last time.
He let Sukuna used him, to get wrecked, he let him make a mess of him. He let Sukuna do whatever he want to do with him, except for marking him. After four days of mating, Yuuji closed his eyes and waited to get kick out.
When Sukuna wake up and see Yuuji beside him, to say that he was angry, furious was understatement. Yuuji will never forget the disappointed face of Sukuna, the scorn expression and the hateful glare being thrown at him. He was thrown outside the alpha’s domain immediately. He smiled bitterly and left without looking back. He braced his self from this, but it still hurts so much.
The Gojo threshold was a mess when Yuuji returned. They ask too many questions but when they smell that he was oozing with alpha pheromones and the smell of sex, the pack went silent. They know whom the scent belong to and Yuuji smiled at them weakly. They shout their mouth, respecting the silent plea of Yuuji that he do not want to talk about it. The next day, Yuuji accidentally heard that Sukuna was demanding to Satoru to throw him out of the pack, which the white-haired man refuse to do.
"Chose Satoru. You will throw away that slut, deceiving, goody good two shoes omega or I'll forget our pack and union?"
"Are you threatening me?"
"You know what will happen if the balance will be broken Satoru. Once I'll allied with the packs from the South, they’ll take this chance to destroy your pack. You don't want your pack to get erased and become a history just because of an omega, don't you?"
"Try me Sukuna. My pack is not that weak, you know that that's why you chose to maintain our pack."
"You're wrong Satoru. The only reason I'm still allied with you is because of Megumi. I'll give you till tomorrow night, by that time I want that disgusting omega out of this threshold!"
Yuuji knows that Gojo will chose him to stay. So he decided to leave on his own, writing a letter that he'll be fine and hoping for the alliance to get not tainted because of him, or his disappearance will become meaningless.
Satoru sigh upon remembering the events. He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. His mind wanders where Yuji could be and if he's just fine. He everyday hopes that the man was just fine. Satoru diverted his attention back to the two kids. He remembers Yuuji to them because Yuuji can do black flash as many as he wants, surpassing his mentor Nanami. He wish that Nanami could see this but the alpha stay at their threshold to guard the pups, while he’s gone. His mate is also not interested in rankings and said that he’s already retired from being a sorcerer, in which he thought is absurd.
Now there's only ten contestants left. The eight were totally aiming at the kids. They temporarily team up with each other to get rid of them, upon realizing that they are the highest threat. Different curse technique have been executed but the two kids avoided the attacks gracefully, moving so fast and the opponents could not cope up with their speed. The two kids’ distance their self. Suddenly, their nails got sharpen and Satoru could see a marking appearing in their hands. The sleeve was hitched up and Satoru could also see some markings there.
"Convergence" the two kids said in chorus after clapping their hands and all of a sudden, an orbs of blood was formed in the air and was shoot straight to their enemies. When the two kids saw that their enemies have a least a drop of their blood to them, they change their stance. They move their index finger in the air and chanted "Plasma Myeloma, stage three." And their opponents stop midway and began to tremble. The contestants started to shout in extricating pain. And clutching to some parts of their bodies.
The two kids move and made another stance. They stretched their arms forward, their hands were joining together forming a triangle and chanted "Multiple" the contestants cough blood and fell down on the floor. Seconds later, they're unconscious. The stadium gone quiet for a second, then cheered afterwards. They were bewildered on what really happened. A loud shout and applause was heard. Some were whistling and cheering to the kids.
The paramedics went to the stage to collect the unconscious contestants. They we’re put on the stretchers and was about to get transported when the kids stopped them and held their palm in the air and said “Cure”. Then they nodded to them, telling that it’s done.
"Ladies and gentlemen! We have our winner!" the emcee went to the stage with the prized money. He give the bag to the kid and began his interview.
"Can you state your name, age and family affiliation please?" the emcee ask and put the microphone near the kids mouth.
"I'm Shouyou and this is my brother Ryunosuke! We're twins!" the kid with a lighter shade of crimson hair answered.
"How old are you and family affiliation?"
"We're ten years old. Family affiliation is confidential!"
"Why?"
"Because Kasan and Uncle Cho will get mad at us if they'll find out we participated in this event. They'll say it's too dangerous!" the audience laugh at the kid’s response.
"Okay okay, so I guess we can't see your face?" the two kids nodded.
"So before you'll go, we will ask if some of the pack leaders is willing to recruit you two. The recruitment invitation is now open!" The pack leaders immediately raised their banner. The audience cheered because all of the pack leaders raised their banner.
"Ohh it seems they're all interested to you kids. So, who will you choose to join with?"
"Eh? Thank you very much but we're not joining! Because we have our own pack and someday, we will join the clash of packs event when me and Ryu-nii completed our techniques! And we'll convince Kasan and Uncle Cho first!" the kid said. The audience said an ‘ohh’ and laugh again.
"Wow! Sounds promising. Well that's it folks. Let's give them another round of applause one more time!" the audience clapped their hands and cheered. The two kid was about to leave when one of the leaders stand up.
"Wait, I don't agree on not seeing their face! Their technique is blood manipulation. They're obviously a relative of the Kamo’s!" the leader of the Kamo stand up and look at the pack leader.
"Objection! Those kids are not our relative! Their blood manipulation technique is different from us!"
"Then, we demand to see their face, so we'll get convinced!" the other leaders agreed. The two kids tensed up. Shouyou look at his older brother, he was worried. Once they'll show their face, there will be a big commotion and their Uncle Cho will kill them. For sure.
"Sorry kids, but you don't have a choice but to reveal your faces." The emcee said. Ryu hold his brother hand. Sho look at him and he give him a small nod.
"Before we'll take off our mask, we'll say something, and we have a demand. We will leave after we reveal our face, and you will not follow us, and you will not hunt for us. We already declined your invitations, and we will attack you the moment well see you lurking around our territory. If you will agree to this, then we're willing to take off our mask." The clan leaders agreed and waited for the mask to get removed. But the kid are not yet done talking.
"For clarifications, we are not under to any packs here. Specially the Ryoumen pack. Because we have our own pack." the people curiously look at Sukuna. The king of curses furrowed his eyebrows in confusion.
‘What does they mean?’
Their attention went back to the kids when their hands hold the mask and slowly remove it. Slowly, the markings of their forehead was revealed, a pair of crimson and brown eyes, identical slit below their eyes and their nose and lips were revealed. The audience gasp and look immediately to Sukuna. The king of curses immediately stood up and stared in shock at the two children.
“Hey, does they look like Ryoumen Sukuna?”
“Are they, his sons? But the kid said they got nothing to do with the Ryoumen clan?”
The audience and sorcerers began to whisper. They were surprised to see that the two kids, was the spitting image of the king of curses. But they know that the alpha does not have any mate, aside from his harem. But they didn’t hear a news or a rumor that the alpha already knock somebody.
"Remember the terms." The older kid spoke. "You will not follow us once we leave. And we don't have any connections to Ryoumen. We don't belong to any packs in here. We belong to our own pack, the Itadori’s." there was again a confusion to the audiences. They don't know that such a pack does exist but the Ryuomen and Gojo pack are well aware of who the Itadori’s or Itadori is.
"We will leave now, again don't follow us, don't hunt us down. Remember the terms." the two kid was about to leave when Satoru shouted.
"W-wait!" The two kid stop and look at the white-haired man.
"Your mother... how is he?" Satoru ask. The two kids were confused but answered anyway.
"He's fine but he will not be fine once he'll find out about this. Such a drag." The older kid said.
"Ryu-nii! I'm scared, mama will surely get mad!" followed by the younger kid.
"Shh..." the older kid only said. He look back to the clan leaders and glared at them.
"Remember the terms." the only thing they've heard before they disappear suddenly. Satoru look at Sukuna who is still shock. Well, all the sorcerers our shock and surprised to know that the unmated king of curses, have a two kid that suddenly appeared in front of him. And they won the event.
If the kids didn't say that they have nothing to do with the Ryoumen pack, they will all think that Sukuna knows that the kids were his sons.Those two were the spitting image of Ryoumen Sukuna. And no one can deny that they are Sukuna’s. The sorcerers began to tease the alpha but Sukuna remained unmoved, still staring at the spot were the kids were standing, minutes ago.
While the other clan leaders was still shock that the king of curses have children, Satoru stand up and spoke up.
"Listen here motherfuckers." he started. "Once I'll know that you're hunting those kids down, I'll wage a war against your pack. Those two are under the protection of Gojo pack, question us and...." all of the sudden, his packmates, Megumi, Nobara, Maki, Yuuta, Inumaki, Panda, is behind him, weapons are out "You'll face our wrath " Satoru finishes before he turn around to leave.
'I'll protect you this time Yuji. I promise, I won't let them find you.' Satoru said in his mind.
'Of course I'll hunt you down. Afterall your kids can't attack me if you'll stop them, right?' Satoru hide his devilish grin. He was excited to meet Yuuji again after all these years. Satoru couldn’t find the omega because Yuuji didn’t leave a trace of him behind. And Yuuji sneak away at the middle of the night. This time, they can track those two kids down. Afterall, Mei Mei was already doing the job.
"Gojo san, please let us come with you when you'll go to Yuuji, please?" Megumi softly ask. Satoru hummed and smiled at his pack.
"Of course, we'll all go! Let's meet Yuuji and his pesky little brats, shall we?" all of them, agreed at once.
Ryu and Sho swiftly climb the tree and slipped through the window of their room. They safely landed on the floor of their room and turn on the switch only to get startled when they saw their mother was sitting on the lower bunk of the bed.
"Kasan!" the twins said in chorus. Yuuji raised his eyebrows at his kids. He crossed his hands to his chest and said "Well?"
The twins glanced at each other and sighed. Features were softening. When they do this, they look a lot like Yuuji.
"We're so sorry Kasan, we went to the event." Ryu said first and lowered his head.
"We're just too bored and we want that video game." Sho said pouting.
"But since I said no, you went there, participated, to get the money so you could buy the game?" Yuuji said. The twins glanced at their mother and when they saw the mad expression of Yuuji, they lowered down their head and muttered sorry once more.
Yuuji sigh. He stand up and went beside his two son and dropped his hand to their shoulders.
"So? Now that you meet your father, what do you think?" the two snorted and growl.
"Nothing, he looks pathetic when we took off our mask." Ryu said. Yuuji stopped for a moment then laugh later on.
"Wait, you wore a mask? What for? For sure the two of you look ridiculous!" Yuuji said in between his laugh.
"Kasan!" the two whined.
"Of course we wore a disguise! We look so much like him and one look at us, he'll know that we are his sons." Sho said.
"It's all going well until some old geezer demanded to take off our mask.” Ryu said, scoffing when he remember the face of the old geezer who demanded to get their mask remove.
"Of course, they'll do that." Yuji smiled. "Afterall, you use blood manipulation technique. right? They'll accused that you belong to the Kamo pack." the twin eyes widened in shocked.
"How did you know Kasan?"
"Wow kasan you're smart!" the twins said in unison. Yuji chuckled and ruffled his son’s hair.
"Of course I'll know. Afterall, I have my eyes on you all the time." Yuuji said. The twin look at Yuuji puzzled. Yuuji grinned at them.
"I have Cho-nii followed you brats. What do you think? We'll let you two go on your own to a place which is too far from here?"
"What?! Uncle Cho was with us all along?!" the twins’ eyes widened.
"Yep, and I saw it all." Choso entered the room, smirking at his nephews. The twins groaned. They're disappointed. They thought that they can hide this from their mother and uncle, but obviously not.
"Since now that the two of you become instant celebrity, you need to train harder to protect this threshold. Afterall. different sorcerers are after the two of you now."
"Gah, we won't let them step in here!"
"Uhuh! We are the Itadori pack! The future strongest pack!" the twins said. Yuuji and Choso look at each other and shook their head. Well, so much for staying low profile after all this years. While the twins are preoccupied on their plan how they’ll become stronger, Choso leaned to him and whispered in his ears that the twins got followed on their way home. Yuuji nodded and he immediately thought of Mei san. He sighed, for sure, the Gojo pack will come in their home, or barge in.
"Oh if you'll see a white haired man lurking around, let him in, kay?" Yuuji said to his sons.
"Huh? the man who's wearing a blindfold?" Yuuji nodded his head. The twins glance at him curiously.
"But why?" Yuuji smiled.
"Because he's your uncle and his rich. And you can ask him anything and he'll give it to you just do this." Yuuji soften his features and let his puppy eyes out and slightly part his lips. Brown eyes were shinning so bright.
The twins imitate their mother. Softening their features and letting the brown colored iris took over to the crimson for a while. They pouted their lips and Yuuji stop his self from laughing. Geez, they look like they’re lost puppies. The pack will not be able to resist this.
"Do that and those guys will flock their ways to buy you souvenirs!" Yuuji grinned. The twins eyes sparkle and they got excited. They’re already thinking of the things that they’ll request, once that happens.
"Really?" Yuji smirk and ruffled their hair.
"Positive."
