Work Text:

Yangyang paced back and forth backstage, waiting for the staff to signal him to go up. He could already hear the fans screaming for him, excited for his solo.

Oh God, his solo - he was going to be sick.

No, it was fine, it went away.

No, no, he really was going to be sick.

“Stop that…” someone said from behind him.

He turned around to find Kun approaching him, a fond smile on his face, his makeup still intact even after all the dancing they had done.

“I can’t do it!” Yangyang said in a panic, his fingers picking at the skin of his thumb and his teeth worrying at his bottom lip.

“Yes, you can!” Kun grabbed onto Yangyang’s hand once he started shaking his head again and pulled him into an unoccupied room.

“I can’t, really…Kun, I can’t, I ca-“ Yangyang’s ramble was interrupted by Kun pressing their lips together, his hands coming up to cup Yangyang’s cheeks. He kissed him slowly, in that gentle way he knew would get Yangyang to melt against his touch.

Kun pulled away from the kiss after what seemed both like a second and an eternity, smiling at the blush creeping up on Yangyang’s cheeks.

“You can do it, you worked so hard for this…I believe in you” Kun said as he pulled Yangyang into a tight hug.

“You do?” Yangyang whispered, his head buried in the crook of Kun’s neck. He could have stayed for hours like this, just basking in the comfort and safety of Kun’s arms.

“Yes, now repeat after me,” Kun pulled away once again, one hand holding onto Yangyang’s chin, “I…”

“I…” Yangyang repeated, a squeak leaving his lips when Kun pecked him.

“Can…”

“Can…” Yangyang just smiled as Kun pecked his lips again.

“Do it…”

“Do it…” Kun rewarded Yangyang with one last kiss just as someone knocked on the door, signaling to them it was time to go.

“I can do it,” Yangyang said, his chest puffing slightly as he stood up straight, “thank you…” he said as he leaned in to kiss Kun quickly before turning around and walking out of the room, ready to go up on stage, Kun following right after, that same loving smile on his face.
