Meredith felt an overwhelming sense of dread when she noticed a familiar burning itch between her legs. Pressing her thighs together, she tried desperately to ignore the itching. Why did she wear a thong during her twelve hour shift yesterday?
Trying to walk as normally as possible, Meredith headed over to the nurses' station, where Addison Montgomery was standing and reading a patient's chart.
Leaning close so she could whisper, Meredith said "you know how you're a gyno?"
Turning and raising her eyebrows, Addison answered "yes, and?"
"I need you to... have a look."
"Right now?"
"Yes please."
"Okay. Go wait in an empty examination room."

After what felt like a lifetime, Addison entered the room where Meredith was awkwardly sitting, trying to ignore the desperate urge to scratch herself raw.
"Undress your lower half," Addison said calmly.
Meredith did as she was asked, feeling colour rise in her cheeks. Her blushing intensified when she lay back on the examination table, and Addison's face was between her legs, staring intently at her vulva.
"Okay, I'm gonna take a couple swabs, but I'm fairly sure you have a yeast infection. Can you think of anything that could've caused this?"
"I wore a thong all day yesterday," Meredith mumbled.
"That'll do it. Well, I'm gonna prescribe you diflucan, and a hydrocortisone cream to help with the itching so that you can actually work today."
"Oh my god, thank you. I could kiss you right now."
"Why don't you?" Addison turned round, smirking.
The atmosphere in the examination room changed. Suddenly, Meredith forgot all about being naked. She forgot that she was in the hospital. Sitting up, she leaned over to Addison, and gently kissed her on the cheek.
Turning her head to face Meredith, Addison then planted a chaste kiss on her lips.
"I have patients to see," Addison whispered. "I'll see you later, Dr Grey."
