You adjusted the bag on your shoulder as you stepped into the larger room, Eggsy, Merlin and Harry turning to greet you.
“Y/n” Harry greeted.
“Evening” you greeted back, as you threw your bag into a chair and walked closer “So, what’s the mission?”
“Apparently a terrorist is holding a gala tonight” Eggsy said as he leaned against a table “And we’re gonna crash the party” he smirked.
“Sounds fun”
“Eggsy will be your date”
You glanced over at Eggsy who smirked and winked at you, you frowned “That’s not as fun” Eggsy chuckled at you as you turned towards the screen, studying your targets “So, what exactly are we suppose to do?”
“You will meet with our terrorists, mingle, flirt, and use our scanner to get all the information you can off of their phones. There is also a room upstairs we have found to be where they keep all of their hard drives and information, I’ll need you to break in and get as much information as you can” You and Eggsy nodded your heads as Merlin continued “You two will need to get upstairs, Harry will be your lookout downstairs”
“Got it” Eggsy nodded “Let’s get ready”

As you and Eggsy were riding in the back of a car on the way to the gala you looked over at him “Didn’t you have a date tonight?”
“Yeah”
“Bummed you had to go to a gala with me instead?”
He looked up and glanced at you “Not so much” he smirked “Besides, we broke up” he said as he adjusted his suit jacket.
Your heart skipped a beat at his confession “What happened? I thought you really liked her?”
He let out a sigh “We kissed”
You nodded, your mind flashing back to your most recent failed kiss with your last potential boyfriend “Ah, and I’m guessing nothing happened?”
“Nothin’, no burning intense passion or invisible shining lights….you think all that’s bullshit? The shining lights and all that?”
You shrugged your shoulders “I don’t know, but everyone whose found their soulmate says the same thing, so I doubt they are all lying. But I am sorry, about her, you must be disappointed”
“Eh, not really, I was kind of relieved actually” he admitted
You looked over at him “You were? Why?”
Staring at you, he quickly came up with an excuse as you pulled up to the mansion “I was gettin’ tired of her that’s all”
Getting out of the car, you dropped your conversation and immediately went into your cover. As you walked around the car. You took Eggsy’s offered arm as you walked into the large mansion.
As you and Eggsy looked around, he smirked “Nice digs”
“I wouldn’t mind living here” you commented as you showed your invitations and moved further into the room.

You and Eggsy stood at the back of the room, champagne in hand as you looked around the large room, trying to find your targets.
“Before I forget again” Eggsy began, making you look over at him “You look great tonight” he smirked.
You smiled “Thank you Eggsy, you don’t look half bad yourself”
“Stop flirting and look for your targets” you heard Merlins voice in your ears.
You and Eggsy smiles at each other, amused at his annoyance, as this was no uncommon thing with you and Eggsy.
Turning, your eyes landed on one of your targets across the room “Got one”
Eggsy followed your eyes as he saw his as well, Merlin spoke to you again “Good, now make your way to him”
Eggsy took your glass from you and set both your’s and his on the table as he reached out his hand “Care to dance”
Smiling you put your hand in his “I would love to”
As you moved to the middle of the dance floor and began slow dancing, you made your way gracefully to the other side of the room, so that you were closer to your target. You and Eggsy continued to dance to the end of the song. As Eggsy spun you around, your eyes met the targets briefly, who seemed to be watching you closely.
As the song ended you and Eggsy moved to the side of the room. And as you stood their for only a moment, you heard someone clear their throat behind you. Turning, your target was smiling at the both of you.
“Excuse me for the interruption, but I just thought I would introduce myself, as I don’t think we’ve met” he began reaching out his hand to Eggsy “I am William Conrad, and you two are?”
Eggs shook his hand “Captain Charles Thomas, this is my fiance Taylor”
Conrad took your hand gently and pressed a kiss to the back of it “Lovely to meet you” he said not breaking eye contact with you, making Eggsy feel a pang of jealousy in his stomach as he secretly reached into his pocket and began the process of scanning nearby phones.
“Ah, Charles, Taylor, there you are”
Turning you see Harry making his way over to you where he introduced himself to Conrad as Doctor Gerald Frederick’s.
After a few moments of casual talk, and flirty glances from Conrad, you heard Merlin’s voice in your ear “I got everything off of his phone, now you need to get upstairs and into that room”
Breaking into the conversation you quietly spoke “Do you think you could tell me where the powder room is?”
Conrad smiled down at you “It’s upstairs, I’ll help you find it”
Eggsy broke in “That’s alright mate, I’ll help her” he said with a kind, yes warning smile, Conrad bowed lightly “Of course”
As you and Eggsy walked towards the stairs Eggsy spoke lowly “What’s this guys deal? If we’re engaged, we’re clearly spose to be soulmates, yet he’s trying to get it with you”
“Apparently he’s known to do that” you heard Merlin speak through the earpiece “He’s been quoted as saying ‘those who already have soulmates are the best challenge’“
Eggsy grimaced at that, glancing over at you “What a dick”
You chuckled as you made it to the top of the stairs, hidden from the other guests “Alright, Merlin, we’re upstairs, where do we go?”
“Down the hall, one right, second door on the left”
You and Eggsy made your way down the hall, but as soon as you turned the corner a high pitched frequency made you gasp and pull out your earpieces in pain “What the fuck was that?!” Eggsy whispered angrily.
You put yours back in “Merlin, what’s going on?”
“Th-…to b-….-ja….-nl”
“Merlin?” you asked trying to understand, looking at Eggsy you glanced around to make sure there was no one coming “They must have something jamming out signal up here, we’re alone”
Eggsy sighed, “Alright, you stay here, I’ll go, if anyone comes, knock ‘em the fuck out” he said as he made his way towards the hall.
A few moments after Eggsy disappeared, you could hear footsteps coming your way, moving towards the nearby bathroom you pretended you were exiting as the person comes around the corner.
“Ah, Taylor” Conrad said as he approached
“Mr Conrad” you greeted with a smile
“Please, call me William” he said charmingly.
“Alright, William”
He smirked as he took a step closer to you, glancing around “Where did your fiance wander off to?”
“He got a phone call, he must of wandered off somewhere quiet I suppose”
“I see, well, I’m glad I got you alone” he walked around you, his back now facing the direction Eggsy had gone
“And why’s that?” you asked flirtatiously, knowing you needed to keep him preoccupied.
“Well, I couldn’t help but keep my eyes off of you when you were dancing, hence why I insisted on meeting you” he leaned forward slightly as he reached up and brushed his fingers down your arm.
“I suppose I must mention that I am engaged Mr Conrad, to my soulmate” you said, though keeping your voice flirty.
“Yes, that is unfortunate isn’t it?”
“Only for you mate” Eggsy’s voice came from behind.
Turning Conrad was unable to speak before Eggsy punched him, effectively knocking him out.
You stared down at his unconscious body before looking up at Eggsy “Jealous much?” you smirked.
Eggsy reached down and grabbed Conrads body a small smile evident on his face, dragging him down the hall and shoving him into a closet “We should go”
“Did you get everything?”
“I hope so” he said as he grabbed your hand and pulled you towards the staircase.
As you made your way into the room near the staircase, you found that more people had come upstairs, none of them noticing your entrance, you moved slowly through the crowd. Eggsy pushed you closer to the wall when some of Conrads body guards came through. When the disappeared down the hall you just left, you and Eggsy stayed where you were.
“We can’t rush out of here, that will be to obvious”
Eggsy glanced around, seeing other bodyguards coming up the stairs. Hearing a distant shout and hushed talking, the other bodyguards were coming back.
“We need to go unnoticed, so we aren’t suspicious” you whispered
“Or too noticeable that we aren’t”
“What?”
Before you could get an answer, Eggsy pushed up against the wall and kissed you roughly and suddenly. As the bodyguards came through the room, they saw you, but ignored you rushing down the stairs instead. Eggsy’s plan had worked.
But this went unnoticed to the both of you as an intense feeling filled both your’s and Eggsy’s bodies. A bright light surrounded you, invisible to everyone else around you.
The kiss turned from rough to more passionate, Eggsy’s hand grabbing your waist, as you felt the ever rumored, almost euphoric feeling signalling the first kiss of soulmates. Literally true love’s kiss.
Another moment passed before Eggsy pulled away staring into your eyes “Son of a bitch” he muttered under his breath.
Before you could speak you heard Merlins voice in your ears “Where are you two? You’r signal is no longer blocked, but the guards are looking for you, what happened?”
You and Eggsy remained silent “I think I know what happened”
Harry’s voice came from nearby, where he was standing by the stairs, you and Eggsy looked over at him, the shock still evident on your faces “I suggest you two talk about this later, after we’ve effectively escaped” You and Eggsy glanced at each other, before he grabbed your hand and pulled you towards Harry “I have a back exit”
The three of you made your way towards the back doors before you heard a shout come from behind you, the guards having noticed you fleeing. Managing to get out, Merlin pulled up in a car. Getting in and speeding away, you leaned your head back with a sigh, Eggsy’s hand still gripping yours.
When you arrived back at Kingsman HQ, Merlin and Harry left to go through the received information. You had gotten undressed and were now standing in a larger room leaning against the wall bear the window.
Eggsy entered, leaning against the door frame, you turned your head and greeted him with a shy smile “I wasn’t relieved that that girl wasn’t my soulmate because I was getting tired of her”
You squinted “What?”
He took a few steps further into the room “I…was relieved that she wasn’t my soulmate, because she wasn’t you Y/N” You opened your mouth to speak, but found no words. So Eggsy continued “I always felt that you were meant to be with me, at first I thought it was just because you were hot, but then I figured out it was because I did actually really like you, but I was too scared to do anything about it, because I didn’t want to kiss you and be disappointed that you weren’t my soulmate, but now…” he trailed off after he rambled out his words.
“To be honest…I felt the same”
Eggsy’s eyes widened slightly “You did?”
You nodded your head “Yeah, I mean, I am better at hiding jealousy than you, but I was always jealous whenever you went out with a new girl, but I was always afraid of the same thing you were”
Eggsy thought to himself before a smile spread across his face, making you smile as well. Eggsy walked over to you before he reached up and touched your face, you two stared into each other’s eyes for a moment, before he leaned forward and kissed you again.
This time there was no shining light, and no intense feeling spreading through your body. But the kiss still gave you butterflies in your stomach, it still felt right, knowing that Eggsy was your soulmate. You wrapped your arms around Eggsy’s neck as he pulled you closer to him with his other arm, his hand moving to the back of your head, as his fingers intertwined with your hair.
Your search was over, you no longer needed to wonder who was your soulmate, your one true love. And you really couldn’t say you were disappointed with the outcome. Knowing that you were truly going to be happy.
