They'd known each other for months at this point. The two of them made a good team, at least from Sprint's point of view. He wasn't entirely sure how Pavel felt.
When he'd first met the very closed off man he hardly talked to him but to discuss their projects, luckily by this point Sprint had worked a few conversations out of him. Pavel was an interesting man with a lot to say if you knew how to get him to talk although he was still very defensive about talking about his past.
Now, Sprint knew there was something more than a professional relationship brewing between the two of them. It was all about biting the bullet at this point, one of them actually making a move. And Sprint decided he'd be the one to do it.
One night after a particularly light day of work, mostly paperwork and research notes, he took his chair to go sit next to Pavel's desk.
"So, I've been thinking lately..." Sprint started, waiting to see Pavel's reaction. "Maybe one of these nights, maybe tonight, would you want to go out for drinks? Just you and me, out on the town for a while."
He bit his tongue inside his mouth, watching Pavel's usually expressionless face for any signs of movement. And to his surprise, and likely to Pavel's as well, he started to smile.
"I would like that."
