That's my partner, Tech thinks, as he watches Rev ramble on and on about something - and yet, nothing at the same time - to the team, who looks like they want to be anywhere else, but there. Rev either didn't seem to care or notice - and knowing him, it was probably the latter - but still persistence on talking, green eyes filled with excitement and leg jitter about, but not actually going anywhere.
Tech knows Rev is not for everyone. The bird talks too much for you to actually hear what he is saying, his speed is incredible - to the point where he cannot sit still even if he'd tried, and he is, more often than not, the chipper optimistic part of the team. It's been a long running (heh, puns) joke about how Rev is like an overly hyper puppy, and Tech really can't find a fault in that. Still, in spite that, Tech really wouldn't change him for the world. For all his talk, if you actually paid attention to it (and Tech does, sometimes), Rev was incredibly smart, rivaled to his own intelligence. He could on and on about nothing in particular, but still made you think you'd learned something, given the chance. The others complained, but they never actually got a chance to hear Rev, only picking up pieces and bits of information that they need, and ignore everything else. Tech is one of the few who sat down next to Rev, and listened to the bird as he talked.
And every time he did, Tech was still left in amazement of how much Rev actually knew.
That's my partner, Tech thinks as he watches Rev, from the corner of his eye, zip through his lab and began touching things Tech told him not to touch. Again. For the twentieth time today (and he's been counting).
Aforementioned, Rev had...too much energy to just be laying about like most of their teammates i.e Duck. This goes double for whenever the Loonatics had their off days and no villains were out, breaking the law. Some of the time, Rev was out training, working on his speed. The majority of the time, however, was spent bothering Tech in his lab - that is, if Tech didn't need his help to begin with.
It was always fun, Tech mused, to think that Rev thought he was being sneaky and doing things he shouldn't, because he thought Tech would be so absorbed in his work. He doesn't know if Rev forgot, but just because he can't see him doesn't mean he can't feel him. Rev always leaves a gust of wind whenever he uses his super speed.
"Ahem." Tech coughed and turning around to catch Rev red-handed using his machine for his bird seeds. Again.
Rev simply gave him a sheepish grin, shrugged his shoulders, and zip through the lab once again, promising him that he wouldn't bother him again. A promise they both know Rev wouldn't be able to keep.
Tech just sigh and if it sounded a bit too fond, well....who's going to know?
That's my partner, Tech thinks as he sees Rev get flung across the battlefield with nothing stopping his momentum until he hit the side of a building. He watched as the bird slowly made his descend to the ground, and growled.
Fury like no other started to boil over, and his eyes flashed green before using his magnetism superpower to destroy one of the robots that had attacked Rev. As the robot crumbled, Tech managed to get up and run over to Rev, who was slow to his feet.
"Rev, you alright?" He asked, using a firm but gentle grip on Rev's face and slowly rotating it to see if he's bleeding anywhere. With no sign of blood, Tech peered into Rev's eyes.
Rev nodded.
"J-Just a bit shook is all. Thanks Tech." Rev mumbled, and if Tech didn't know any better, he would think Rev was blushing.
"Hey, don't want anything happening to my only lab assistant. Without you, I think Duck would've driven me up the wall." Tech joked, and smiled when he heard Rev laughed.
"Y-Yeah. Anyways, let's go kick some robo butt." Rev said. With a smirk, Tech helped him onto his feet and they were both getting back into battle.
Later, he's going to check Rev over completely. He'd meant it when he said he didn't want anything to happen to Rev.
That's my partner, Tech thinks, blearily rubbing his eye when he felt something against his shoulder.
Most of the time, Tech had a habit of sleeping inside his lab especially when it's during a project he's been working on. It was never a good idea, but he had asked everyone to stay out of his lab - especially when they had a habit of breaking things. Well, everyone except one person.
Looking down at his shoulder, Tech couldn't help but smile. Rev was currently sleeping against him, as snug as one could be in a cramp position, and letting out tiny little snores that otherwise disturbed a bit of his fur.
Tech had told Rev earlier on that if he feels Tech had spent way too long in his lab, that the roadrunner should come and get him. So far, Rev had made good on his promise and had been able to get Tech out of his lab and into his actual bed. This time, it looks like, Rev had allowed him to stay up a little later and when it was time to get him, Rev must've been so tired, he ended up falling asleep with Tech.
Yawning, Tech slowly began to pull away from Rev without disturbing him. He allowed Rev to sleep on his chair as he started to clean up around his lab, and when he was done, quickly gathered Rev into his arms and headed towards the door.
"Lights off." He said, and the lights to the lab turned off. Once outside the lab, he mentally debated on whether or not to put Rev inside his own bed or not.
Ultimately, he began walking towards his bedroom with Rev still in hand.
That's my partner, Tech thinks, as he watched the bird below him moan and beg, looking up at him with complete adoration in his eyes.
Tech will never understand how they got this far. How, after all this time, Rev would still look at him like he was his world, willing and able to do anything he asked for, because Rev loved him so much. He'll never understand how he got Rev completely wrapped around his finger, and vise versa, knowing their history, their past, and how, biologically, this relationship doesn't make sense.
None of that makes sense, but what he does know, is that Tech cannot see a world without having Rev with him. Rev, who is so kind, so smart, so beautiful, the yang to Tech's yin (yeah, yeah, that's not it goes, sue me), who loves Tech so, so much. Rev, who had been his best friend since before the meteor struck, who knew of his kind and didn't care. Who owned his heart long before Tech actually gave it away - to anyone.
Rev. It's always been Rev.
"Ah...ah...Tech..." Rev moaned, wrapping his leg around Tech's waist, pulling him closer to him. With a groan, Tech couldn't stop himself. With one, two, three thrust of his hips, he came inside Rev, his knot begging, pushing against the rim of Rev's ass.
The two laid there, both panting and sweating, still staring at each other.
Tech will never understand how they got this far, but he's glad they did.
"You're my equal." Tech muttered against Rev's cheek, completely curled up against the bird.
It is yet another heat wave in Acmetroplis, and once more, it's on the Loonatics break. Ace was meditating, Duck and Slam were watching TV, Lexi in her room probably, and both Tech and Rev were out by the indoor pool their HQ had.
"Hmm?" Rev muttered back, tilting his head to see the coyote better.
"I said, you're my equal." Tech said, rolling over and trapping Rev with his legs. He was staring the bird down, in hope what he thinks would be a convey message. Luckily for Tech, Rev didn't have to second guess his motives, and smiled up at him. He gave Tech a small peck on the lips.
"You're my equal too." Rev said.
Tech smiled.
