Chapter Text
Seungwoo opened his eyes as soon as he heard his alarm. He stretches his limbs before getting up from bed. He starts his daily routine by taking a shower and choosing a smart casual outfit. After minutes of deliberation on what he should wear, he settled with a simple black inner t-shirt, a grey coat and black jeans. He then prepared a sandwich with tomatoes and smoked-ham. He packed it nicely in a small container. Seungwoo often eat breakfast in his office.
On his way to his office, he didn't forget to grab his usual iced americano at a nearby coffee shop. As soon as he reached his office building, he was greeted by the guard with a warm smile.
Han Seungwoo owns a photography studio and he’s also a freelance photographer who does birthdays, weddings or any event gigs.
His phone rings and a familiar contact appears on screen. “Choi Byungchan”
“HYUNGGG!!” Seungwoo distanced his phone from his ears because Byungchan’s voice is too loud.
”What now, Byung?” Seungwoo said rolling his eyes. He puts down his things on his table as he sits lazily on the couch in his office.
”I forgot I have a photoshoot for today. I cannot come there today.” Seungwoo sighed. Byungchan works for Seungwoo as his assistant slash secretary, but he is also a freelance model.
“It’s ok. No worries Byung.” Seungwoo said, comforting the younger. He knows that Byungchan really loves modelling. “There’s not much to do today, except for the scheduled photoshoot here in the studio.”
“Hanse cannot come today either, can you handle it hyung?” Hanse is Byungchan’s friend who also works for Seungwoo as photographer slash editor.
"Of course! I can handle it Byung." Seungwoo said in full confidence. "Oh! And you said yesterday that a client will come today."
"Yes hyung! He will be there around 11."
"Got it!" Seungwoo was busy looking for his post-its and wrote it down, just in case he forgets. "By the way, what's the name---"
"Hyung!! It's my turn now. I'll see you later!" Byungchan dropped the call even before Seungwoo finished asking his last question.
The first scheduled photoshoot in the studio went well. It was for a family picture. Seungwoo smiled as he saw how happy they were looking at the pictures. This is one reason why Seungwoo loves his job. He can see his customers smiling through his lens and then they will thank him for taking great pictures.
He was busy editing pictures when he heard a knock. He looked at the clock and it's 5 minutes before 11.
"Crap!!" He exclaimed as he saves his work and walks towards the door.
"Hello, welcome." He said while smiling. "I'm Han Seungw.....oo" His smiles slowly disappears as he saw the man standing in front of the door. "No.... it can't be..." he thought.
"Hi." The man in front of him shyly said. "It's been a while, Seungwoo hyung."
That word... coming from this man's mouth sends thousands of emotions and memories back to Seungwoo.

Seungwoo was eating his lunch peacefully when a boy stopped in front of him.
"Hello~!" The young boy said, full of enthusiasm. "All the table were taken, can we share this table?"
Seungwoo looks up to him, the boy was smiling brightly. He just nods and the boy skips out of excitement.
"Thank you!!" He said as he sits down, still smiling at Seungwoo.
A few minutes of silence passed by when the young boy suddenly speaks up. "Hey!" He called Seungwoo out.
Seungwoo looked at him, confused. "Aren't you eating too little?" He asked while pointing to Seungwoo's piece of sandwich and orange juice.
Seungwoo didn't answer. "That won't do~!" The boy protested.
"Here~ take this." He said while handing Seungwoo his untouched sandwich and salad. But Seungwoo just looked at him. "Come on~ take it! You won't be full with a sandwich and orange juice~"
Even though he's confused, Seungwoo grabs the food to which the boy smiles and claps his hand like a kid.
"Tell me if you're still hungry, I have some cookies too~" Seungwoo just nods. He still can't understand why this boy is so nice to him. It's new for him. "Are you in 10th grade too?"
Seungwoo shooks his head. "I'm in 11th grade."
The boy gasps in awe and put his hand on his mouth. "You're 1 year older than me then~" Seungwoo just giggles, the boy's reaction is just too cute for him. "I'm Seungsik, Kang Seungsik." The boy smiles at him as he reach his hand.
"Han Seungwoo." He grabs Seungsik hand.
"It's Seungwoo hyung, then."

Seungsik is now sitting inside Seungwoo's office, while the older is busy preparing a coffee for him. He looks around the office and he saw how everything is simple yet beautiful, "Just like Seungwoo hyung" he thought. His eyes wonders until it caught the back of Seungwoo. It's the same back that he used to hug years ago.
Seungsik unconsciously smiles when memories of the past came to him.

"That's all for today's meeting. You're all dismissed." As soon as the student-body president dismissed them, Seungsik immediately got up from his seat and run towards the door.
His eyes wonders around the front gate, looking for someone. As soon as he spots the back of the person he was looking for, he runs towards its direction.
He hug him from behind, tightly. "Hyung~ did you wait too long?" He asked as he inhales a familiar scent. He then put his chin on the shoulder of the man he is hugging. "The meeting took longer than I expected." He said while pouting.
"It's alright, Sik." Seungwoo said as he face Seungsik. "I bought you some potato corndogs. Your favorite." He said showing the younger the food he bought while waiting.
Seungsik's pout turns into a smile. A smile that turns his round eyes into crescent shape like a moon. "Hyung, you didn't have to."
"But I want to." Seungwoo then pinch Seungsik's cheeks, which made the latter giggles.
They sat down in a bench in the nearby park. They talked about the things they did for the day and some random stories about their childhood as they eat the snacks.
"Oh! Right! Hyung, my birthday is just around the corner." Seungsik said out of the blue. "My parents will organized a party for me. Please come, huh?!?" Seungsik said.
"But I've never been to any parties, specially with those rich kids you hang out with." Seungwoo said which made Seungsik a little sad and disappointed.
"Hyung~~" Seungsik whines. "My friends are all kind and friendly~" Seungsik appealed with his puppy eyes.
"But.... I cannot give you any expensive gifts." Seungwoo said as he hangs head low.
Kang Seungsik is from a wealthy family, his family owns a large business in Korea for generations now. In other words, he is a "chaebol". But Seungsik isn’t a stereotypical chaebol who’s arrogant and spoiled, in fact he is a kind and warm person. While Han Seungwoo is an orphan who lost his parents in an accident when he was a child. His other relatives didn’t want to take the responsibility of raising him so he grew up in an orphanage. He grew up in an environment where envy and jealousy is common among everyone. Except for the director of the orphanage, no one else has ever been nice to him.
Until Seungsik came to his life. He became his sun that lights up and warms his dark and cold world.
”Hyung....” Seungsik said grabbing Seungwoo’s hand and squeezing it tightly. “You’re presence is the best gift I could ever ask for.” Seungwoo then looks up to him and looks at his eyes.
Those gentle eyes that always shows sincerity and kindness, those eyes which he fell for. How can he turns down Seungsik when he is looking at him like that.
He sighs like admitting defeat. ”Fine. I’ll go.” He said and Seungsik’s face lit up and hug him.
”Aaaahhh!! I’m so happy hyung!” Seungsik cannot contain his happiness and excitement which made Seungwoo laugh. “Thank you, hyung~”
Seungwoo hug him tighter. “Anything for you, Sik.” He then buried his face on Seungsik’s neck, inhaling his scent. “I love you.”
”I love you, hyung~” Seungsik replied.

Seungwoo anxiously making coffee for both of them. He never thought, not even in his wildest dreams, that this day will come. That Kang Seungsik will be sitting in his office.
He’s thinking of different reasons why Seungsik would be here.
First, he thinks that their company will be having a party or event. But he also thought that they could hire even bigger company than his to be take care of their photos.
Second, he remembers that Seungsik’s birthday will be in few weeks time. But Seungsik isn’t the type of person to have his birthday documented in such way. He would rather spent his birthday with his family and friends, privately.
Last, wedding. He might be here to get his pre-nuptial photoshoot and hire them as official photographers for wedding day. The thought of Seungsik getting married brought some stings in his heart.
He brush off all his thoughts and to be professional on whatever reason why Seungsik is here in his office.
Seungwoo puts the cup of coffee down in front of Seungsik. The younger immediately grabs the cup. “Thank you.” Seungsik said in a low voice. That familiar low voice of his made Seungwoo smile. But what really caught his attention is the bracelet Seungsik is wearing.
”You still have it.” Seungwoo said unconsciously while looking at Seungsik’s arm.
Seungsik smiles, “Of course I still have it.”

Seungsik is stating blankly outside the coffee shop while his friend, Sejun is busy talking about weird stuffs like alien invasion.
”I can’t take it anymore!” Seungsik exclaimed out of nowhere which made his other friend, Chan, who is sitting beside him flinched.
“Me too! I can’t take it anymore.” Sejun agrees with Seungsik which made the latter confused. “What if the aliens suddenly abduct me out of nowhere because I expose them?!? What then?!?!!!”
Seungsik tilt his head like a puppy because of confusion. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“He’s been rumbling about alien invasion for almost an hour now. That weirdo thinks you agree with him.” Chan said before sipping his coffee.
”That’s not what I’m talking about~!” Seungsik whines. “I’m talking about Seungwoo hyung!!”
”I got excited for nothing.” “Why am I not surprised.” Sejun and Chan said simultaneously.
”He’s not answering some of my messages for days now!” Seungsik pouts at the thought of his boyfriend not contacting him like he used to. “Maybe he doesn’t love like before.” He said in verge of tears which made the other two panicked.
“You know that Seungwoo hyung is busy with finals coming up plus he has part-time jobs.” Chan was quick to console Seungsik. “Don’t overthink too much.”
”And besides, your birthday is coming. Maybe he’s finishing his school works early so he can attend it with peace of mind.” Sejun added. Those made Seungsik calm, but maybe, just a little.
Few days later, it’s Seungsik’s birthday and he’s busy greeting his family and friends. This party is relatively small compare to those other rich kids’ birthday parties. Approximately around 15 people are invited. Their family is small since his father is an only child while his mother has only 2 siblings.
As time is ticking, Seungsik is getting more and more nervous. The one he’s expecting the most is not yet here.
His mother notices how anxious he is, so she decided to talk to him.
”Sunshine, are you alright?” His mother asked.
Seungsik looked at her with nervous eyes and shook his head. “Seungwoo hyung is still not yet here.”
”He said he will come, right?” She asked to which Seungsik nods. “Then trust him. Trust is the most important thing in a relationship.” She said as she smiles warmly. Then something caught her attention.
She pats Seungsik’s shoulder lightly and pointed at a certain direction. “See. I told you to trust him.”
Seungsik looks at the direction his mother is pointing at. And there, he saw the man he’s been waiting for. He immediately run towards Seungwoo and hug him. “I thought you won’t come.” He said, sobbing.
Seungwoo hugs him back, patting his back. “I said that I will, right?” The younger nods. “I’m sorry, I’m late. I got caught up in work.”
Seungsik wipes his tears. “It’s okay. What’s important is that you’re here now.” Seungwoo cups Seungsik’s face, caressing it.
”Seungsik. I didn’t teach you to cry in front of your guest like that.” A stern voice from behind made Seungwoo flinched. Then they he hears a small giggle from a woman.
”DAD!” Seungsik whines as he face the owner of the voice that called him.
His father didn’t pay attention to him, but to the man next to him. “Did you make my son cry?”
”Ahmm.... it’s not.... ahhh... that’s not it.... hmmm.... no.... sir.” Seungwoo stutters. The man in front of him looks scary and powerful.
”Dad! Stop it!!” Seungsik protested. “You’re embarrassing me.”
Seungsik’s mom chuckles. “I think Seungsik just cried with no reason, dear.”
”That’s a big possibility.” Seungsik’s dad agreed. That made both his parents laugh. This made Seungsik rolls his eyes.
“Why don’t you introduce us to your guest, sunshine.”
”Do I even have to?” Seungsik said in a bored tone. “You already ran a background check on him months ago.” Seungwoo was shock to hear this as he looks at Seungsik. “Yes, hyung. My parents are creepy like this.”
Both his parents laugh again. But Seungwoo is still feeling nervous and shocked. He may feel disoriented but he didn’t forget his manners so he decided to introduce himself.
”I’m Han Seungwoo, ma’am, sir.” He said respectively looking at Seungsik’s mom and dad. “It’s nice to meet you.”
Rather than accepting Seungwoo’s hand, Seungsik’s mom hugged him. “The pleasure is ours, honey. And don’t call me “ma’am” but rather “mom”. Ok?” She said smiling warmly at Seungwoo. The latter nods and smile.
“Did I scare you back there?” Seungwoo nervously smiles at Seungsik’s dad question. “Sorry about that, pal. You can call me ‘dad’.”
Seungsik’s parents excused themselves when a friend came to talk to them.
Seungsik holds Seungwoo’s hand and drag him away from the party to the small kiosk in their garden. They sat down on a bench.
”Your parents....” Seungwoo broke the silence first. “They’re warm and kind.” Seungsik let go of Seungwoo’s hand and links his arms with Seungwoo’s and put his head on his shoulder. “Just like you.” Seungwoo then kiss the younger’s head.
Seungwoo then took out something from his pocket, grabs Seungsik’s arms. “This is not much, but I hope you’ll like it.” He said while putting the handmade bracelet he made. It’s made with woven strings.
Seungsik put his arm up, looking at the bracelet on his wrist. “I love it hyung.” He said before kissing Seungwoo’s cheek. “Thank you.”
”I know it’s not as expensive and grand like your other gifts—-“ Seungsik didn’t let the older finish and shut him with his lips. It’s just a quick one, but Seungwoo felt the soft and plump lips of the younger. And he wanted more of it.
”Those gifts aren’t precious as this.” He said cupping Seungwoo’s face. “Your efforts in making this makes it more expensive than those branded things they got me.” He said with tears escaping his eyes. He’s so touched.
”I’m glad you think of it like that. I actually don’t know about the color, but yellow really reminds me of you. Because it feels warm. And the sunflower charm is you. A flower that feels makes me happy and smile.” Seungwoo said before leaning for another kiss.
