Although you weren’t an 8 month old anymore your headspace only grew about a year. You have a bigger vocabulary now, but that was about it. It is like after not switching for a while that you had a regression in your age. That was fine with you as long as you could switch and be with Mama and Mommy.
Currently you were big and on a mission with all the avengers. You were raiding one of Hydra’s bases. You had gotten in the building and were waiting for the signal. Natasha and Wanda were right next to you hiding behind a big fancy machine.
You heard some of Hydra’s people in the room you were in so you had to stay quiet. That wasn’t a problem for you until you saw a big hairy spider the size of a half dollar coin. It made its way down the machine you were pressed up against. You tapped Natasha’s and Wanda’s shoulder to get their attention. When they looked at you, you pointed to the spider that was now only a foot away from your face.
You’ve always hated spiders, any type, any size, any shape, color, or species. If it had eight legs you scream. But, you know that you can’t kill it and you can’t scream.
You give Wanda and Natasha a terrified look. They give you a sympathetic one and Natasha puts her finger up to her mouth signaling you not to make a sound. She can feel you tremble because of how close she is to you, and she grabs your hand rubbing her thumb over it soothingly.
You watch as the spider stops crawling towards you. It stops for a moment changes direction and then starts to shoot a web at you. You are too terrified to move or try to stop it, all you can do is watch and it gets closer and closer to your face. Finally everything happens at once. It bites you, you scream throwing it off you and turn little tears swelling up in your eyes. You hear gunshots coming at you, but Wanda uses her powers to put a force field around you three.
“It’s okay baby, shhhh it’s okay. Do you want Mommy to kiss it better?” Natasha tries to calm you as she wipes your tears away. You shake your head and she kisses you on your nose where the spider bit you.
“Okay baby, Mommy has to set you down for a minute just stay right here okay?” Natasha says as the bullets stop. She sets you down and gives you your pacifier. Wanda lets her force field down and gets ready to fight. You watch as they circle around you getting ready for whoever makes the first move.
“I see you’ve got a little there, she’d make a nice test subject. Why don’t you hand her over?” One of the Hydra guards says.
“Never.” You hear Wanda spit back.
One of Hydra’s men launches himself at Wanda and you watch as she ducks his punches and delivers one to his gut pushing him back. You look to the opposite side and see Natasha take down two guys with her widows bite. You just sit there sucking on your pacifier while Mama and Mommy take out the bad guys that are trying to get you.
Wanda uses her powers to blast some of the guys running at her, they go flying and only stop when they hit the wall sliding into unconsciousness. Natasha takes out the last guy using her signature move, the leg takedown.
You clap your hands and giggle through your pacifier. Wanda picks you up off the floor walking outside avoiding the unconscious bodies on the ground
“On, to, fee,” You count the bodies on the ground.
“Good counting baby girl,” Wanda praises you. You clap your hands again.
“How many bad guys did you count baby?” Natasha asks beside you.
“Dis many” You say holding up two fingers. Wanda and Natasha laugh.
“Hey Steve we’re good, we got everything we needed. Let’s go.” Natasha says through coms.
You still have your coms on. You see a button and press it. You make happy squeals and say ‘Mama’ and ‘Mommy’
“Please tell me that Y/N didn’t switch when you were in there,” Steve says through the coms.
“Yeah she did, she got bit by a spider, but we took care of everything,” Wanda says.
You walk three walk towards the quinjet, until a Hydra agent comes out of nowhere and knocks Natasha to the ground. Wanda quickly sits you down and starts to fight the agent. You crawl over to Natasha.
“Mommy?” You say sadly. You feel sad, but mostly mad that your Mommy is now lying unconscious on the ground because of the hydra agent. Suddenly all that anger turns into rage. You start to crawl to the Hydra agent.
“Baby girl?” She asks as she stops fighting the agent. She sees you crawl over. They Hydra agent picks you up, you don’t know it but suddenly you light on fire. Flames encase your body and the Hydra agent screams in pain. He runs to the nearby stream and jumps in it. You laugh and clap your hands no longer on fire.
“Yay!” You say happily as you watch the agent run.
“Steve got one coming towards you,” Wanda says over the coms.
“Mama,” You say to get her attention. You point over to Mommy with tears in your eyes.
“Mommy,” Wanda picks you up and moves over to Natasha. She sits you down and checks Natasha’s pulse. She can feel it.
“Mommy wake up,” You say, she doesn’t move. Steve and Tony come up to you guys.
“She’s alive, just unconscious.” Wanda says to the boys. You touch Mommy with your hand. When you do, electricity comes out of your hand and into Natasha. She wakes instantly and punches the air almost hitting you.
“Mommy” You say clapping.
“Hi baby girl, are you okay?” Natasha says hugging you.
“Mm’k Mommy,” You say.
“Okay did we all just see that?” Tony interrupts.
“Yeah. She was on fire earlier.”
“So that’s why that agent smelled burnt,” Steve says.
“Baby girl, were you on fire earlier?” Natasha asks you.
“Fire” You say happily.
Okay we should probably get to the lab to see what happened,” Tony says as you all walk back to the quint jet, Natasha carrying you.
“Yeah, let’s just wait till she’s big again,” Wanda says.
You get to snuggle in between Wanda and Natasha and fall asleep sucking on your pacifier.
