Work Text:
The air was frigid against Yoongi's face as he made his way to the front door of the main lodge to open. He wasn't even sure why he offered to take over a ski lodge when he hated the cold, but here he was, bundled up to his ears and still shivering. But he made this decision and he would see it through.
He stepped inside, taking in the lodge for the first time in years. Stone block fire places lined the walls two spaces apart, velvet brown chairs were set around mahogany wicker tables with glass tops. The desk was carved elegantly; the desk that would be his home from dawn till dusk every day.
He busied himself with lighting the fireplaces and unlocking the many entrance doors when his phone blared from his jacket pocket. He pulled it out, looking at the picture displayed before he answered.
"Yes, Hoba?"
"Hyungie hyung! We're gonna come up and visit you on vacation! We just set up the dates and you should have the schedule in your computer when you get in!"
Yoongi smiled at the news as he unlatched the last lock. "I'm in now, I'll set you guys up in the best rooms available. God, it's going to be so nice seeing you guys. Thanks for giving me something to look forward to!"
"We're so excited. Jiminie, hyung, and I have been working on this for the last few weeks. Taetae and Koo are coming too. Oh, and another friend of Jinnie hyung's. Someone he met during a photo shoot," Hoseok rambled mindlessly.
"I don't know how he just– talks to people... how does that come so easily to him," Yoongi mumbled with a soft chuckle.
"Hyung; not all of us are as shy and soft spoken as you~" Hoseok teased. "Anyway, we'll all be seeing you soon. Love you!" Hoseok made kissy noises into the phone as Yoongi mocked a gagging sound.
"Yeah, soon, love you too," Yoongi responded before they both ended the call. Now that he had that to look forward to, he worked quicker, humming a tune as he signed into the computer and checked Hoseok's booking dates. A whole week starting the coming weekend. Yoongi smiled wide as he accepted the booking request and placed them in the rooms he knew they would love.
Right at open people began to wander in, requesting rooms for the night as the phone rang off the hook for vacation bookings.
The days stayed this way until the lodge was fully booked and Yoongi was swimming in work, exhausted every time he finally made it back home. But the weekend was near and his days off as well; the fill-in manager would be floundering but he would always be on premise to help.
He fell asleep with images of him and his friends having a blast in the snow; a soft smile on his face.
He woke on Friday morning with a skip in his step. He was out of the bed easier than most days, clicking the TV to find the latest status on his favorite snowboarder, Kim Namjoon. He was a legend for his age, well rounded and humble too. Yoongi had found that he'd developed a sort of celebrity crush on the snowboarder, following his schedule, watching all of his competitions and YouTube videos.
Kim Namjoon was a blogger, too. He posted videos of him out in the cabins in the alps and showed off his gardens and his love for nature. And the videos where he was just enjoying himself in the snowy mountains were Yoongi's favorite. He would smile and his dimples would pop and–
Yeah, Yoongi had a hopeless crush on some famous dude but who cared? He didn't. It's not like he'd ever meet the guy.
He brushed his teeth as he watched TV from the bathroom, making sure not to miss Namjoon's full segment. He finished with his teeth just as Namjoon was bowing and waving goodbye to the camera with that smile Yoongi gushed over in his head before he turned the TV off and headed into the room to slip into his socks and shoes.
He checked himself over once more, taking in the large, tan winter Jacket Jimin had sent him as a gift and the neat button up white shirt and black blazer beneath it. He straightened his tie one last time, padded his pants down to make sure his joggers were tucked properly away under his slacks and headed out the door, grabbing his beanie to cover his head as he went.
Fridays were always hectic at the lodge, but for some odd reason; this particular Friday was way worse. What had he missed?
He jumped right into work when he walked through the door, stripping off his coat and hoodie and tossing them behind the front desk before he was running around trying to assess the situation and get information all while helping the staff organize themselves enough to get the jobs done.
By the time three o'clock had hit, Yoongi was breathless, red cheeked, and ran ragged. He stood in the hallway, hands on his waist as he nodded to their tenth complaint that day. Their bed was only a king when they requested a California king, which was a size this lodge didn't accommodate to begin with. Yoongi remembered telling them on the phone, yet here they were, complaining about it anyway.
His patience was wearing thin and it could be seen in the almost dramatic way his eyebrow was twitching on his forehead. Shortly before he snapped at the two, his manager joined them, all smiles and kind words. "It's time for your shift break, sir. I'll take over here and get them sorted."
Yoongi was grateful for the escape and left it to Jackson to handle before he rushed away to try and find a quiet and secluded area to just be. On his way, he heard laughter that sounded familiar to his ears and his heart skipped a beat as he stopped in his tracks and let his eyes wander through the crowd of people gathered in the commons.
"–can't wait to give Yoongi hyung his gift!" Yoongi heard and he was sure it was Jimin! He hurried towards the sound of all the familiar voices until his eyes met Hoseok's and he could hear the loud gasp escape his best friend.
"Hyung!" Hoseok squealed loudly, pushing his way through the people with gentle apologies before he was swooping Yoongi up into an embrace.
Hoseok's hugs were always the best; warm and firm and comforting like early morning sunshine. Not overbearing, enough wiggle room to escape if he wanted, but completely encompassing him. Who would ever want to escape these hugs. Yoongi quickly wrapped his arms around Hoseok, a bright smile lighting up his soft features before he buried his face against the other. "I'm so happy to see you guys," he admitted against his best friend, tightening his grip.
"We're so happy to see you, too, Hyungie! I can't wait until you can come back home!" Hoseok was loud, right in his ear. But instead of being annoying, Yoongi sank into it like a comfort zone, smiling wide, gums and small white teeth in display as his eyes caught sight of the rest of his friends.
Jimin was piled up on Taehyung's back, piggybacking their way through the crowded guest area, Jimin was smiling and waving frantically as Taehyung hollered, "Coming through!"
Behind them was Seokjin, tall and regal with his darkened sunglasses and slicked back hair, Jungkook beside him in his white, plain hoodie with a bucket hat in, laughing at something he must've said.
It was a moment later when Taehyung was upon them, thrusting his whole weight into them as Jimin leaned over and smothered them from atop and Hoseok laughed vibrantly and Yoongi groaned.
"Yah! Don't crush them before I get my hug, you two!" Yoongi could hear Seokjin loudly scold them from beyond Taehyung's chest. And then there was more pressure as Seokjin and Jungkook joined in on the hug, the lot of them laughing ridiculously and drawing strange looks from the guests.
Eventually, they drew away from Yoongi to get their individual hugs, Yoongi's smile plastered to his face as he graciously accepted all the love they were giving him. "I've missed all of you idiots, so much."
"Excuse me? I am no idiot! Respect your hyung, Yoongichi," Seokjin scolded, but his smile gave away his teasing as he drew Yoongi in for a tight hug. "We have missed you, too. Please come home soon…"
"You're one to talk, hyung," Yoongi quipped quietly as he squeezed Seokjin just a bit tighter. "Once I have the crew settled, I will. I promise."
As he drew away from Seokjin, he remembered something they had mentioned on the phone call. "Hey, you said you had another friend coming. Where are they?"
"He'll be here soon; don't worry your pretty little head," Seokjin replied simply as he ruffled Yoongi's hair with a sharp smile. Like someone with a secret that would reveal other secrets. It made Yoongi slightly uncomfortable. "He had already booked a room, technically. He just changed the dates to come when we did after I met him on a set."
"Oh, great. He's another rich, pompous asshole like you," Yoongi deadpanned to try and make it seem like he wasn't joking.
But Seokjin could always see through him and he snorted. "You think that now, but I'm the only rich, pompous asshole in your life, my little Yoomgi~" he chirped as he poked Yoongi's nose.
Yoongi groaned, crossing his arms over his chest. "Don't call me that, hyung. It's dumb."
"It's cute and you can't change my mind. Now, as much as I love basking in large crowds, I'd like to unload in a room, please."
"Oh, right! Come on, guys. I put you in our best rooms, besides the suite. Someone had that already," Yoongi rambled as he turned away from Seokjin and started leading the way, missing the way Seokjin's smile curled up deviously.
Yoongi led them to the rooms he had reserved for them before he slipped away to check on the situation at the front desk, make sure they were handling it well without him.
In the moment, Seokjin was left alone with Hoseok in their shared room and Seokjin burst into laughter. "I think I was right! He didn't check the guest reservation list. He must be curious as to why it's suddenly so busy. Everyone and their brother knows Namjoon is coming here, now. It's only a matter of time before Yoongi figures it out."
"I bet twenty bucks it'll be when Namjoon is checking in at the front desk," Hoseok offered, his smirk almost sadistic as he held his hand out to solidify said bet.
Seokjin smirked as well, shaking Hoseok's hand. "Bet. I say he sees on the news the day before and comes to suffocate us in our sleep."
"That's pretty cryptic stuff, hyung," Hoseok said with a laugh. "But I know it's true. If he finds out before, we're dead men."
"I bet he still thinks we haven't realized his rather unhealthy crush on Namjoon. I bet he thinks he's kept it well hidden by not watching his matches around us. I have a keen eye for specific schedules~" Seokjin bragged.
"You are a truly frightening individual, hyung. It's a blessing that you're all mine~" Hoseok purred as he closed the distance between them and draped his arms over Seokjin's broad shoulders.
Seokjin rested his hands on Hoseok's hips like they belonged there and leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his heart shaped lips. "Another surprise we have for Yoongichi. You have told him without me, have you?"
"Of course not! We have to tell him together," Hoseok replied with a slight pout before Seokjin pressed pecks against his lips until he was smiling again.
Their devious plot to get Yoongi a boyfriend had only just begun.
*****
Yoongi headed back up front, hurrying over to the check in counter to make sure that Lee was handling the take over well, he seemed fully in control, smiling as he approached. "Yoongi! I think I've figured out why we filled up so quickly! Come check this out!"
Yoongi raised a brow at Lee curiously before walking over and gazing down at the computer where he was pointing. His finger was hovering over a name Yoongi knew very well. "What? Why didn't we know about that?! Who took that reservation and didn't give us notice?"
"It says it was Lisa who took it," Lee said, as if that explained. Lisa was their newest trainee who knew nothing about competitive sports. So she wouldn't know that booking a room for The Kim Namjoon, was a big deal. "I'll go track her down and talk to her about it." With that, Lee disappeared behind the employee's only door.
Just then, someone approached the counter and he paused in his research to look up with a warm and welcoming smile. "Hello, do you have a reservation?" His eyes met with the most beautiful chocolate brown he had ever seen, and once they focused enough to realize exactly who he was staring at, he straightened up, forcing the blush away from his cheeks.
Kim Namjoon. The source of Yoongi's infatuation for years was standing in front of him on the other side of the counter.
"Yes, I reserved the suite," Namjoon replied quietly, a shy smile on his plump lips as he gazed across at Yoongi. His voice was much richer in person, smooth like melted chocolate and doing entirely too much to Yoongi's poor heart.
"Ah, yes. I'll just check you in and have someone lead you to your room," Yoongi replied quickly, tearing his eyes away from Namjoon's as he clicked away in the computer.
"Actually– if you could lead me to my room, I'd really appreciate it. The less people that see and notice me, the better," Namjoon requested with a chuckle and Yoongi just nodded, his body moving mechanically as his fingers danced deftly over the keys before he reached over to grab Namjoon's keycard.
"This is your room key. My staff will be available any time for your convenience and anything you may need. If you would, just follow me and I'll show you the way," Yoongi stated, the job a second nature to him by now. And he was glad for that, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to speak.
Even as his knees tried to give way and his mind swirled with blame (he knew Seokjin was behind this, the bastard!) he grabbed Namjoon's bags with slight difficulty before he led Namjoon down the hall and to the spiral staircase that led up to the privately reserved rooms. His best friends were up here too, and he had half the mind to stop in on his way out and get to the bottom of this.
When they arrived at the door, Yoongi directed Namjoon to it with a nod of his head as he relaxed Namjoon's bags on the floor to wait for him to unlock the door. Namjoon fumbled for a good minute, the small beeping noise and red light only causing him to fluster more. "It's um–"
"Hold on," Yoongi said gently as he stepped away from Namjoon's bags for a moment to take the key from him. "Try it this way. Sometimes these card readers are a bit finicky. I plan to have someone out to work on it in the summer but it's far too busy for it right now," he explained as he flipped the card over and slid it through, the door giving the tall tale sounds of it unlocking.
Yoongi turned the handle, pushing the door open easily and holding it there for Namjoon to pass through before he reached out to pull the bags in. When the door closed behind him, his heart dropped into his stomach and then fluttered up into his throat. He was alone, in a room, with The Kim Namjoon. What was life?
Namjoon flipped down on the bed with a child-like smile on his face before Yoongi cleared his throat. "I hope you enjoy your stay, and please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything. Is there anything else I can do for you right now, sir?"
Namjoon sat up, his eyes locking on Yoongi and slowly trailing down his smaller frame. Was he... was Kim Namjoon giving him a once over? Checking him out?!
"What's your name?" Namjoon asked, his lips tilting up into a shy smile, embarrassed that he'd been caught eyeing Yoongi up.
Yoongi couldn't fight it back anymore as the light pink flush heated his cheeks. "Yoongi. Min Yoongi. I own this place."
"Yoongi~" Namjoon purred and Yoongi denied the shiver that coursed through him at the sound of his name from his idol's lips. "It's got a pretty ring to it. Can I call on you personally?"
"I'm actually on vacation right now. For the week. I was only at the front desk to see how things were going. So I won't be available for work."
Namjoon's eyebrows shot up his forehead as he frowned. "Oh. I'm sorry, I hadn't realized. I didn't mean to take up your time."
Yoongi's blush only grew more intense as he shook his head. "It's fine. I'm glad it was me and not someone who might have panic-begged for an autograph or something. Anyway, have a nice night, Mr. Kim."
Yoongi turned for the door and scurried out, not really wanting to make more of a fool of himself than needed. Once the door was closed behind him, he took a moment to gather himself, taking a deep breath before he made his way down the hall to the steps. He just wanted to sleep.
****
He woke the next morning to a loud rapping on his door. There was a beat to it, something playful and child-like and he knew it could only be two people. He threw his duvet off, kicking his legs over the side to slide his feet into his slippers before he slowly dragged himself to the door.
When he opened it, his hand reached up to cover his mouth as he yawned, trying to speak through it. "What do you want?" His voice was deep and scratchy from a long night's rest and dry without a drink. "I haven't even had my coffee yet," he grumbled, reaching up to scratch at his scalp sleepily, messing his already messy hair up even more. His eyes were squinted against the light from the sun reflecting off the snow and he could already feel a bad mood settling in him. He needed caffeine.
"It's ten in the morning and you're just rolling out of bed. What the hell, Yoongi?" Seokjin complained, pushing past him into the cabin and making his way around to find the kitchen. "I'll start brewing your coffee. Go put some clothes in, ya heathen!"
Yoongi grumbled as he walked away, letting Hoseok close the door behind him.
Hoseok went to join Seokjin in the kitchen, humming some pop song as he danced around, looking into the fridge to put something together for Yoongi to snack before they crossed the snowy hill to head back to the lodge for their full breakfast. "Think he would appreciate a piece of toast?" He asked, shutting the fridge door, not surprised to find it mostly empty. "We should definitely go grocery shopping for him before we leave."
"He's so… he really just needs someone to look after him. I bet he works all night and day and just comes here to pass out for a few hours. And no to the toast; we're having breakfast with everyone and knowing him, he'll be full off of that one piece," Seokjin heaved a sigh as he poured the fresh coffee into one of Yoongi's coffee mugs. This one had a sunflower on it that said "Fuck you" in the center and Seokjin just found it… very fitting for Yoongi.
When Yoongi shuffled back to them, joining them in the kitchen, he reached out with sleepy, grabby hands for his coffee mug. Seokjin couldn't help the soft, fond smile that tugged at his lips as he pressed the cup into Yoongi's palms. "You more awake, yet?"
Yoongi shook his head sluggishly, cradling the cup of coffee in his hand like a silent prayer before he tipped it back against his lips to take a sip, feeling the heat rush through him, revitalizing his tired bones. "Not yet," he rasped. "But this will help, thanks."
"No problem," Seokjin waved him off as he gracefully swept himself towards the kitchen sink to wash the few dishes Yoongi had sitting there. Hoseok watched him from the other side of the counter with interest. "Have you met my friend yet?"
Yoongi grumbled into his coffee before he moved next to the counter and set it down. "You mean the reason I've been dying all week? A warning would have been nice, hyung. We're booked to the tits because of him."
Seokjin snorted as he swilled the soapy water away. "I did think about that. Yesterday, when it was too late. I do apologize for the inconvenience, but he really needed a vacation too."
"You know, I think he tried to hit on me last night," Yoongi mumbled, bristling slightly. He wasn't used to that kind of attention and he always thought he would be able to like Namjoon from a distance. Celebrity crushes were meant for that.
Seokjin laughed and Hoseok's eyebrows shot up to his forehead. "Namjoon? Kim Namjoon? Mister shy, nose stuck in a book if he's not on the snow, Namjoon?" Hoseok rambled in awe, not expecting to hear that.
"Could just be me not knowing anything. It's been a while since I've even paid attention to another person, so," Yoongi shrugged, but his mind played it over and he was sure. "But if he was hitting on me, how prickly do you think I have to be to keep him away?" Yoongi was only half joking, a chuckle following his words.
"Don't push people away, Yoongi," Seokjin chided softly.
"He has one week and then he's gone again. No point in pushing the boundaries of much more than friendship, hyung," Yoongi sighed. "I'm not going to push him away, he's your friend and I'm sure he could be mine too. But that's it."
"Why?" Hoseok asked in curiosity.
"I'm demi, Hobi, I'm not going to fool around with someone I don't have any connection with," Yoongi stated as if it were obvious. "And I don't see a connection like that blooming in a week," he shrugged before picking up his coffee and taking a few long sips.
"You've slept with me," Seokjin reminded calmly.
"You did what? When?" Hoseok clipped out, his body tense and his eyes locked on Seokjin's broad shoulders.
Yoongi looked between the two of them curious and confused. "Because I have a connection with you? You're my best friend?"
Seokjin turned the water off and turned around slowly until he was facing Hoseok. "That was before, Hobi, relax."
"Before what?" Yoongi poked, wanting to understand the the sudden icy glare Hoseok had on Seokjin.
"Hoseok and I have started dating."
"We've been dating for six months," Hoseok eased out, his muscles slowly unwinding inside him as he relaxed.
"Seriously?" Yoongi cheered, "took you two long enough! I've been watching you dance around each other for years!"
Seokjin laughed, a soft smile gracing his lips as he gazed at Hoseok. "It was worth the dance."
Hoseok blushed, a shy smile tugging at the corners of his lips before he looked over at Yoongi. "Well, you're dressed and presentable so finish your coffee and let's go!"
Yoongi grumbled but finished his coffee in record time and followed along to breakfast. When they arrived, the rest, including Namjoon, were already gathered, three chairs left open for the three of them. "Good morning!" Hoseok chirped happily as he plopped down in a chair, Seokjin sitting down next to him and Yoongi taking the chair to Seokjin's left, just beside Namjoon.
Namjoon who was blushed a pretty shade of pink as he stared down at the table, a book he had been reading settled on top of it. "Good morning," Yoongi rasped, feeling awake but his voice hadn't caught up, still gravely and deep with the sleep he'd been ripped away from.
Namjoon smiled shyly, tilting his head slightly to catch a glimpse of Yoongi. "Good morning. Listen, about last night–"
"It's okay," Yoongi cut him off with a soft smile. "Let's get along, yeah?"
Namjoon's shoulders relaxed as he released a breath he didn't realize he was holding. "Yeah, let's." Namjoon straightened up and slowly integrated into the group, chatting happily as they passed the food around the table.
Yoongi had warmed up and joined the conversation after a good twenty minutes and soon the whole table was chatty and laughing as if Namjoon had always been a part of them. Eventually, everyone wanted to go out into the cold and okay in the snow; ski, snowboard, snowball fights. They wanted to do it all.
Namjoon seemed a bit withdrawn about the idea, and Yoongi couldn't blame him. He was on vacation. Why would he want to snowboard in front of thousands of his fans on his vacation? He had no idea where he got the balls but he tapped gently against Namjoon's arm. Namjoon's eyes moved to him, filled with curiosity and hope. Hope for what?
"Wanna stay in and play pool?" Yoongi asked, his voice a whisper, struggling internally around the words and fighting off a blush.
"Yeah, yes, please," Namjoon breathed out, the tension leaving his shoulders as a relaxed smile graced his lips.
Yoongi melted, his own smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Yeah, okay…" he looked towards the others before he spoke up. "Namjoon and I are gonna hang inside, maybe shoot some pool. You guys have fun in the cold, wet shit." Yoongi smirked, sticking his tongue out as Jungkook returned the gesture.
"You're no fun, grumpy hyung!" Taehyung whined as he leaned against Jimin, his chin resting on the man's shoulder.
"I'm a ton of fun. I'm just not your fun," Yoongi quipped, crossing his arms over his chest with a playful smile.
"I actually enjoy that cold, wet shit. Just… the people are–" Namjoon piped up, stopping short as he gazed around, finding many pairs of eyes on him and his little crew of friends.
"Yeah, that does make people a little uncomfortable, doesn't it?" Yoongi hummed as his mind worked. "There's a chess table in your room, attached to the round table in the entertainment space. We could just go do that, if you want?" Yoongi suggested and watched Namjoon's eyes light up even as a blush dusted his high cheekbones.
"Yeah, away from the people. That would be great, thank you."
Seokjin watched on with smug curiosity as he watched Yoongi and Namjoon discuss their plans for the morning. Maybe he and Hoseok wouldn't need to get involved with these idiots. They just needed to get them in the same place. And as Yoongi smiled so gently at Namjoon, Seokjin didn't need to worry. They would at least leave here as friends, anyway.
The group rattled on out the doors as Namjoon and Yoongi made their way upstairs to Namjoon's room. Yoongi hadn't realized what he had done until it was too late, they were crossing over the threshold of Namjoon's door when it hit him. He would be alone with Namjoon, in Namjoon's room. Together. Alone…
He could feel the jitters clawing through him, making his cheeks pink and his breathing shallow. He just had to entertain his celebrity crush; no big deal, right? His celebrity crush that hit on him the night before and made his heart do a strange stutter clanging in his chest. Yeah, no biggie!
But Namjoon turned around after finding the hidden chess table and pulling it out and he was smiling, a smile of comfort and happiness and Yoongi felt the worry melting away. "Found it! That's pretty cool. Whose idea was it to hide a chess table and set, here?"
"It was mine, actually. My parents listened to me sometimes, and that was one of the times. Comes in handy for people… not as often as I'd like, but it does," Yoongi chuckled, walking over to the table and taking a seat as Namjoon pulled the pieces out and went about setting up the table.
As they began to play, the awkwardness faded from Yoongi and he laughed and chatted. "Hyung, why did you move the rook? Seems like a rookie mistake to me," Namjoon teased.
Yoongi relaxed against the back of his chair, crossing his legs and twisting his hands together in his lap with a smug smile. "Why don't you make a move and see~"
Namjoon tended slightly, the smile falling from his lips as his eyes narrowed and he looked back to the board again. He really couldn't see what he was missing. So he loved his bishop across the black tiles and released before he froze. "Wait! Shit–"
But it was too late. Yoongi moved in with his queen, taking Namjoon's Bishop and putting it into his collection of other pieces. "Always look at all possible players, not just one~" Yoongi laughed, his shoulders bouncing.
The playful banter continued through the rest of the game, Yoongi claiming victory and Namjoon groaning into his hands. "I have all these brains and still can't beat someone at chess, what the hell…" Namjoon whined.
"Chess isn't about IQ. It's about strategy. It's a war of cleverness. I'm just more clever, not more smart," Yoongi quipped, winking before he laughed.
They spent the rest of the day pulling out all card and board games, besting each other an equal amount until they were rolling together on the floor, a friendship forming, comfort found. "This was nice, hyung. Maybe we can do it again tomorrow?" Namjoon suggested softly, still slightly breathless from laughing and finding difficulty with speaking as Yoongi's head rested against his chest.
"Yeah, sounds good to me. I wonder if the others will join us tomorrow…" Yoongi sighed before he felt Namjoon stiffen a bit under him. "You okay?"
"I kinda wanted to just… it's selfish cause they're your friends but I wanted it to be just us again…" Namjoon admitted, his voice soft. He was happy that Yoongi couldn't see his face unless he sat up.
"I can't let you hoard me but.. if you.. maybe, um," he cleared his throat, shifting to sit up and away from Namjoon, "wanted to go on a date, or something… I'd be cool with that."
"Cool with that?" Namjoon repeated with a laugh, sitting up and wrapping his arms around Yoongi before tugging him down. "I'm gonna take you on a date every night I'm here, then."
"That would be nice," Yoongi said through his laughter as he rolled around and hugged Namjoon close.
"Too early for me to kiss you, you think?" Namjoon pushed.
"Yes, too early. But…" Yoongi craned his neck and pressed his lips to Namjoon's nose. "There," He mumbled, a blush coloring his cheeks a lovely shade of rose.
Namjoon blushed as well, smiling. "That's perfect, thank you, hyung."
****
The week went on, Namjoon keeping his word about a date every day. Their friends mercilessly teased them, but they didn't mind, slowly learning about each other, discussing ways to keep things going between them even when Namjoon had to leave. A future was blooming and the two of them wanted to see it together.
