Chapter Text
"Hey, are you okay?"
He gently opened his eyes as the blurry sight of him cleared up, How did he end up there?, Dj.Yellow did not remember well, but his memory was refreshed when a burning invaded her throat and his chest, vomiting the water that was inside his lungs. He only remembered that he had decided to surf that day, but a bad movement made him fall off the board and a wave dragged him to the deepest part of the ocean, where he had fainted.
But how did he get to the shore?, he lay down on the sand again, with his blurred vision he noticed that something was in front, something blue, it seemed to be the face of a person, in addition, he felt a cold arm on his chest. "* Cough cough * ... Who ... are you?"
"I'm Blue," said that person, it was a man with a melodious voice, sweet as honey, almost hypnotic, "You almost drowned and I brought you back to shore." As his vision cleared, he noticed something strange in whoever said he had it. Over his head, on the sides and on his neck. Those were fins? He must have been dreaming, but no, and he knew it when the creature took his hand gently, feeling other fins and scales between his fingers.
When he opened his eyes fully, he managed to see that instead of legs, the man had a fish tail, with scales in sky blue and bluish purple, he realized that the one who saved him was a mermaid.
And when he realized it he was not even able to scream in surprise, "W-w ... what?, Y-YO-YOU'RE" The creature quickly released him and crawled back into the water, disappearing into the waves as he entered it deep from the ocean
Yellow was still confused when he heard a scream, "YELLOW!" It was his friend Ann Gler, who was running at full speed towards him, "Yellow, thank God you are alive" she hugged him tightly.
"Ann? W-what happened?" The humanoid was extremely confused, especially with the encounter he had recently.
"You were surfing and you had an accident, they are still looking for you in the deepest, how did you get here?"
"A fish brought me!" the girl stared at him strangely, "I-I mean a person!, B-but he got into the sea, A-and…"
"I think you're still a bit dizzy" the fisherwoman grabbed the DJ from her back and helped him up, "Come, I'll take you home"
"B-but" the yellow being turned his gaze towards the sea, thinking of that creature, that had not been a dream, it was clear.
After that busy day and technically being missing for a couple of hours, Dj. Yellow was in his room, he wanted to sleep, but he couldn't stop thinking at that moment, what he had seen, was it a mermaid?. The characteristics matched, but still he did a quick search in his phone.
Mermaid
Fantasy animal that lives in the sea, with the head and torso of a woman and the lower limbs of a fish, it is said that these creatures hypnotize sailors with their melodious voices to make them shipwrecked and drown.
He didn't really know what expected, he still had that feeling of unreality in his mind, feels like he was in a dream, as if he were under a spell from that fantastic creature, "Blue, that's your name, no?" he whispered to himself, before falling asleep, an idea occurred to him, tomorrow he would go to the beach again.
Yellow spent all day on that beach, exploring the area near the shore in a desperate attempt to meet that being for whom he was now acting so irrationally, something that his mind did understand, because he was only being guided for his heart.
The sun was setting and the people had already left, all except the DJ, who at times thought about giving up, why was he doing this? He wanted to leave, but when he got up from the sand, he heard a voice. A thick but soft and sweet voice humming an unknown but calming melody at the same time, it was him, the humanoid began to run desperately along the coast, searching for the origin of that beautiful voice.
Was he looking for him willingly or was he being bewitched by his voice?
He stopped short when he reached some boulders near the sea, hidden behind a stone he poked his head out, there he was. Sitting on another rock was Blue, the light of the full moon made her fins look like the finest silk and his scales like dazzling little sapphires, and his voice, that was the most beautiful thing, sweet as honey, it was like be lulled by the soft cold ocean waves.
When that voice stopped, Yellow realized that was in front of that blue being, his heart jumped, when he had moved from his hiding place?
"... Hello," he greeted shyly, praying that Blue wouldn't panic and leave.
"H-hey, I'm glad you're okay," the creature replied.
"W-why did you save me? Aren't mermaids supposed to drown people?" Yellow asked.
"Those are just some sadists, most of them prefer to stay away from people or save them, as I did with you," replied the merman, "I saw you fall from that surfboard and as no one came, I decided to take you to the shore, I couldn't let you drown!
"... Blue your name was, right? I'm Yellow!" Said the Yellow, to which the blue nodded, "Hey Blue, you sing beautiful."
"It's just a hypnosis spell" the bluish merman muttered, "You find it beautiful because you've just been hypnotized, but when it stops you'll wake up and see that it's not that good."
"N-never mind! Could you sing to me again? Please?" Yellow made puppy eyes so that Blue would listen to him, something that worked immediately, the fish man clarified his voice and resumed his hypnotic song.
Yellow closed his eyes and let himself be carried away by that melody, he did not know if it was the hypnotism that had him in that trance state, in his mind only the image of the waves of the sea and the beautiful merman that sang those beautiful melodies. It was like being inside a dream, a dream that made his heart race.
When the song stopped again, the terrestrial reawakened from his trance, noticing that his arms were clinging to the sea creature in an hug.
"I'm sorry!" He exclaimed, letting go quickly.
"Is okay, remember you were spellbound." Blue took him by the hand as he watched the moon rise in the sky.
Then they saw that in the distance a port was illuminated, there were more people because a cargo ship was about to leave.
"I have to go," Blue muttered, getting off the rock where he was sitting and crawling into the water.
"W-wait! Shall we meet again?"
"If you want to see me again, come back here tomorrow, at the same time, in the same place."
And after saying those words, the merman dived until he was lost in the seabed. Yellow was confused, he felt that part of his head was still in a trance and his cheeks were burning, besides that his heart was racing, was he still spellbound?
