Summary
The Captain - Edward ‘Ted’ Williamson - knows he’s not an easy person to love. After leaving the army and coming to terms with his own sexuality, he has found himself stuck in a rut, constantly making the same mistakes and falling in unrequited love with the wrong people. According to his therapist, he ‘self-sabotages’ by ‘burying his emotions’.
A tragedy leads to a bittersweet opportunity for a fresh start in a sleepy village, in a cottage with a yellow door and honeysuckle growing up the walls. There’s a disarming amount of room to breathe, and the chance to reluctantly be befriended by the eccentric locals.
