Standing in front of his house Makoto looked over at you, he could tell how nervous you were. He reached over taking your hand in his much larger one. “Don’t be nervous. We’re just meeting my family.”
“I know but what if they don’t like me?” You said biting your bottom lip nervously.
“They’ll love you just as much as I do.”
Giving you a reassuring smile, Makoto went to ring the doorbell. Couple minutes later, his mother and father welcome you. Once inside you also meet Makoto’s younger twin siblings, who reminded you alot of your younger siblings. You all enter the kitchen, sitting around the table.
“Makoto, you’ve been telling me y/n’s beautiful but I didn’t realize y/n would be so nice.” Mrs. Tachibana says.
“Mom..” Makoto says, blushing embarrassed.
“Thank you so much, Mrs. Tachibana.” You smile.
As the night progresses you become more comfortable around Makoto’s family, your earlier fear seeming silly.
As you two get ready to leave his parents tell you your welcome to come back any time and you thank them.
“Have a good time?” Makoto asked, once you two were standing outside.
“I did, your family is wonderful.“You say, smiling.
Makoto leaned down kissing your cheek, "I’m glad. Now let’s go home.”
