Seto felt a smile tug on the corner of his lips as he twirled Kisara’s hair.

Everything seemed so serene, so peaceful.

That is until a shrill cry cut through the silence, stirring the goddess in his arms awake.

“Seto?” Kisara asked sleepily as she rubbed her eyes.

“Sleep.” Seto said as he placed a kiss to her temple, “I got this.” He gently placed Kisara back on the bed and got up to the room beside them. The room was decorated in a blue and white theme, tiny Blue Eyes White Dragon were drawn on the walls. There was also a big crib mobile that hung from the ceiling with tiny blue eyes dragons on it, making it seem like they were soaring through the air. His eyes quickly focused on the three cribs in the middle of the room. With long strides, he quickly approached the cribs and picked up the crying baby and marched out of the room in case he wakes up the other two that were miraculously still fast asleep in theirs.

It had been a surprise when they found out that Kisara was expecting. They had just celebrated their second year wedding anniversary a month prior and he guessed that they might have over celebrated a bit. It had been even more of a surprise when they found out that they were expecting not one, nor two but three. Mokuba had jokingly said that it was the three white eyes blue dragon in his deck attempting to take a human form in their world. Everyone had found it ironic and funny but no one except for Kisara knew how scared he really was. He was so terrified that something would go wrong during the pregnancy and he would loose Kisara. He would startle awake in the middle of the night from nightmares of losing her due to childbirth, then he would spend the rest of the night kissing her abdomen, asking the triplets to be good for their mother. He would jolt up at the sound of her vomiting, calling in the doctor for he thought that Kisara was going to dehydrate herself from the vomiting. Thankfully, once the morning sickness subsided, Kisara had experienced a rather calm pregnancy and gave birth to three healthy sons. He had originally wanted to cart those little crying demons off for the servants to handle, but Kisara insisted otherwise.

That’s how he got stuck in the predicament of tending to them reluctantly.

“There, there Tatsuya,” Seto said as he rocked the crying baby in his arms, “we don’t want to wake your brothers.”

“Seto?”

“Kisara,” Seto turned to face his wife with a frown, “I thought I told you that I could handle this.”

Kisara smiled gently at her husband, it has been two months since they came home from the hospital, yet Seto had still absolutely refused to let her lift a finger. “Tatsuya needs his feeding, I don’t think you can help with that yet.”

Sighing, Seto passed the thrashing baby over to Kisara, “we can always get formula milk, it’s a bothersome having to tend to and feed them from time to time.”

“It’s a sweet burden of being a parent.” Kisara replied as she adjusted Tatsuya in her arms.

Seto frowned as he looked at the feeding baby, “we should start putting them on feeding schedules, they should learn time management and independence by now.”

“Seto,” Kisara chuckled as she raised a free hand to smooth the crease in between her husband’s eyebrows, “they’re barely two months old, I’m sure we’ll have plenty of time to teach them about that later on.”

“Then we at least need to teach them time efficiency,” Seto stated with a deeper scowl, “I mean, look at him. He’s not even feeding! He’s just latching on!” He then ruffled through the shelf in the corner of the room, pulling out a file, “I’ve calculated and laid out a report, Tatsuya’s feeding time usually lasts from 35-45 minutes and he only spends 15 of it actually feeding, the rest is spent sleeping or yawning.” He flipped a page, “and Ryuji’s feeding time lasts on an average of 30-35 minutes, 17 minutes of it feeding. Ryoto’s feeding time also lasts on average of 30-35 minutes and 20 minutes acutually feeding. And there is usually a 30 minute difference for the three of their feeding time, so if we could get them on schedule, then we would be able to save at least-”

“Seto.”

“2 hours each feeding session, just imagine the time we can spend together and the things we could do-“

“Seto-”

Seto carried on as he flipped through the pages, “in fact, I have a whole section pertaining to the list of things that can be done in that time frame-”

“Seto!” Kisara exclaimed as she placed a gentle hand on Seto’s cheeks.

Seto turned to look at her in surprise.

“A feeding schedule?” Kisara asked as she caressed his cheeks “Are you perhaps jealous?”

“honestly, Kisara,”Seto scoffed, “who do you take me to be? Me? Jealous? Of these underlings?”

“You do know you’re being ridiculous, they're your sons,” Kisara replied, “besides, you know that I love you the most out of the four of you.”

“….” Seto looked away with a blush. It was a moment or two before he spoke up in a low whisper, “I guess I can bare with this schedule a bit longer.”

As Tatsuya finally finished his feeding, the couple returned him to his crib. They lingered over the cribs, smiling down at their sons. They all inherited the sharp features of their father and somehow, against genetics, the white hair of their mother. They’re identical in almost every sense, except for the different shades of blue their eyes had taken on. Tatsuya has the darkest blue eyes of the three, Ryuji with bluish green eyes and Ryoto with greyish blue eyes.

“I think we did good with them today.”Kisara smiled at the slumbering babies.

Seto encircled Kisara in a hug from behind and placed a kiss on her hair, “we have at most 30 minutes before the next one wakes."

"And I would like to spend that time catching up on sleep" Kisara chuckled as she lifted hands and placed a kiss on it.

"I'm honestly starting to regret having children." Seto groaned.

"Stop pouting,"Kisara let out another laugh, "I know you love them regardless."

Seto sighed as he placed another kiss on Kisara's hair. Yes, despite the burden of sleepless nights, wailings, stinky diapers and feeding, he loves them. He was content with Mokuba being his only family. When Kisara entered his life, he realized that he craved family, craved her love and the light she brought with her. He had never thought that he would have children and if he ever did, he would be a father like Kaiba Gozaburo, unloving and only down to business.  He had never anticipated the journey of fatherhood, but he will gladly take on this new adventure of parenting if Kisara was beside him. She taught him love and he will continue to learn how to express it.

Notes:

Just a tiny plot that I had wanted to write when I finished watching the series!

I decided on triplets because well, Seto has three blue eyes white dragon and I thought there would be humor in it. The triplet's name all have dragon in it:
the eldest one-Tatsuya Kaiba(龍彌) The name means dragon to be or dragon all the more.
The second- Ryuji Kaiba(龍治/司) The name means the dragon rules.
The third- Ryouto Kaiba(龍翔) The name means the dragon soars.

Please leave a review and let me know if you liked it or what you thought of it:)
