Of course she wished she were still alive.
Emz tried to avoid looking at herself, horrified by the state of her own body. It wasn’t easy, being a decomposing corpse. But it was fine, really. She could deal with it, cover it up, make sure no one else had to see the mangled mess of her upper thigh, the exposed bone on the top right of her skull, the decaying flesh on her upper arm. Emz bit back the urge to gag as she feels her fingers sink into the soft dead flesh on her bicep and she quickly snaps her scapula back in place, before carefully rewrapping the wound. She checked the state of her bandages in the mirror.
If it was symmetrical, people would think it was just decoration. Merely a fashion statement. Emz collected herself, chiding herself mentally. She couldn’t react like this every day could she? It’d been 3 months already. She forced herself to look at the mirror. She looked good. She felt good. She was ready for another day of being the shallow, vain, social media star that the people loved to hate, but that was fine. Their cruel comments, their rude remarks. It was better than pity. Emz fixed her trademark sneer to her face, inhaling deeply.
It was going to be a good day
