Kugisaki watches as rows of seated students slowly turn to glare at her loud stomping through the once quiet and serene library. It doesn’t help that the ice in the two absurdly large lattes that she’s holding obnoxiously rattles as she walks past. Zenin looks up to see Kugisaki beaming at her with the two large lattes rattling in Kugisaki’s hands. Kugisaki promptly sits down next to Zenin and plops one of the lattés down a tad too close to Zenin’s textbooks for her liking. The other students that Zenin shares the communal table with all shoot Nobara a glare because of how loud she’s being. Zenin notices Nobara shoot up from her seat and immediately pulls her back down into it.
“Kugisaki, please remember that this is a library and we are all doing our best to study quietly for final exams. I ask that you do not make too much of a ruckus in here,” whispers Zenin.
Kugisaki pouts, “Sorry about that. I just don’t see why people should worry about me if they’re supposed to be focused on studying for exams”.
Kugisaki quickly shoots a death glare back at all the other students at the table and goes right back to beaming at Zenin. Zenin sighs, kisses her girlfriend on the cheek, and goes back to cramming what she possibly can for next week’s finals. Zenin picks up her phone and checks the time. It’s two pm; Kugisaki is 4 hours later than the set time they planned on seeing each other. Kugisaki takes a sip from her coffee and scrolls on her phone.
Zenin asks, “If you weren’t up studying last night, then why’d you stay up all night?”.
“You know how I told you last week that I was running out of cleanser? Well, I decided to look for a new one and I went down a rabbithole...I didn’t find anything that would work for me,” replies Nobara.
“So you took a nap then? Is that why you got here so late?”, Zenin asks.
Kugisaki notes the bit of irritation in her tone and pouts again.
“I’m sorry! Please forgive me!..Here you can have my iced coffee. I’ll even pay for dinner tonight”, Kugisaki pleads.
Zenin ignores Kugisaki and continues to review her notes. Kugisaki makes puppy dog eyes at Zenin in hopes of being forgiven. She silently pokes and prods Zenin for a little while longer but Zenin does not budge. Kugisaki sighs and continues to look for a new cleanser on her phone as her girlfriend switches to another subject to study up on.

Zenin pauses her studying to stretch her arms and yawn. She looks to her right and sees that Kugisaki is fast asleep. Zenin smiles whilst looking lovingly at her sleeping girlfriend. She notices her mostly empty surroundings and notices the sun slowly began to set as rays of sunshine peer through the large library windows. Zenin gently shakes Nobara awake and kisses her on the head.
“Babe, it’s time to wake up. Let’s go grab dinner”, Zenin gently whispers to Kugisaki.
Zenin packs up all her belongings as Kugisaki stretches and softly groans.
“We can grab dinner now?”, says Nobara groggily after yawning.
“Yep, dinner time”, Zenin replies.
The two get out of their seats and head to the library entrance. Zenin stops to brush a stray strand of hair out of Kugisaki’s face and smiles at her. Zenin takes Kugisaki’s hand as they exit the library.
“What do you want for dinner? My treat”, Zenin asks.
“Really? Your treat??...Wait, I thought you were still mad at me” Kugisaki says.
“Nah, I couldn’t stay mad at you. That’s just who you are as a person and I love you all the more for it”, replies Zenin.
Kugisaki stops and feels her face get warm. She knows that she’ll never get over how happy Zenin makes her.
“I love you too babe...Oh, can we go shopping for cleanser after dinner? I couldn’t find anything while you were studying. Wait, we can just go grab the one you use since your skin is so radiant and good looking”, says Kugisaki with a giant cheesy grin on her face” says Kugisaki.
“Yeah of course”, Zenin grins widely back at Kugisaki.
Zenin and Kugisaki start skipping again off into the sunset excited for their dinner date.
