inspired by amane's love for the moon<3
my first time attempting minimalist writing. (kinda failed xD)
it's ironic how just a day before i got inspired to write this, i was thinking about how i could never create a fic of them because it's all established in the anime itself but.. boom

hhh im really impatient to post the entire thing because i've prewritten the entire thing..
i hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoyed writing it. and as much as my friend loved beta reading this for me ;D

Chapter 1: entry one [everlasting love]

Chapter Text

his hand reached out, the moon so near, yet so far. one hand on the windowpane, both feet on the windowsill. the boy’s hair ruffled in the wind as his eyes shone under its glow, his heart big.

he turned and gave the girl a big smile. “i wish to be an astronaut,” he said brightly, waving a hand at the moon that they both turned to see.

“you will be an astronaut,” she agreed wholeheartedly.

but his eyes were haunted; his dreams were unobtainable. try as he might, he would never reach the place he wished to go to the most. no amount of abuse he tolerated would get him to space. despite his best efforts, it was all futile, for he could never reach the moon… the one place his heart longed to be.

he left the window and grasped the girl’s hands. she stared back with widened eyes as he leaned forward, and she tightened her hold on him, not wanting to let him go.

“you are my stars.” he said, quietly. “my moon, my night and my life.” his head tilted slightly, his lips quirking up at the sides, this time sad.

“i’ve made up my mind now. i’m not going anywhere.”

“..hanako-kun?”

“i love you, yashiro.”

the dream faded, washing away into nothing.

have you heard? there was a girl who lived at the hospital. often, the nurses would hear her muttering to herself throughout the day - she was sent to counselling for depression. no one knows what truly happened to her.
