Back before they started living at the (rebuilt) Spinjitzu Monastery and were still operating out of the Destiny’s Bounty, they kept the aforementioned flying ship on a rotating location which made it harder for any of their enemies to find them.
That night, they had set the Bounty down in a grassy field just close enough to the edge of the Birchwood Forest that there’s a distinct chill in the air. Which just happened to align with the meteor shower that was supposed to be happening that night.
Instead of either playing video games or holding a movie night like they usually do on free Friday evenings, they left the Bounty for the field. With the intent of watching the meteor shower.
About a half-hour, after they have all set up sufficiently, the meteor shower began, early. It started with a normal-coloured meteor streaking across the sky but, to their surprise, the ones that followed were coloured.
“I didn’t know it was even possible for meteors to be colourful,” Jay said, voicing what everyone else (except Zane) was also thinking.
The rest of the evening continued with them watching the rest of the meteor shower while Zane occasionally told them various facts about meteors.
When they first came out to the field, someone had brought tea which some of them were now drinking. Lloyd had somehow managed to fall asleep where he was lying in the grass. All in all, it was a nice, fairly peaceful (except for the mini pseudo-pillow-fight that erupted between Jay and Cole) evening.
The meteor shower ended with a spectacular tri-coloured meteor that not all of them got to see, as Lloyd wasn’t the only one to fall asleep early.
