Mathew sat there and inhaled the blunt immediately feeling the effects.
"Just relax babe," came the sleepy slurred words of his girlfriend Maricela
"I know, I know," said Mathew as he started to rock a dosing Maricela
Hokey tryouts were not for a few months so he swore this would be the last cigarette till then. But he just needed this.
Things had been so stressful around the house. His parents always fighting. I mean they fought when he was younger but never like this.
Dad was always a flirt but he just assumed it was because he was French. And mom was always grumpy but he just thought it was because she was English.
Of course, he was the one to find the texts his dad sent to other women. And of course, he was the one who had to hide all the beers from mom. He couldn't blame his brother though, he lived nearly an hour away for college.
That just brought a whole new bundle of stress because every other weekend his brother would come home bruised and crying. He told his brother countless times to leave his abusive girlfriend for the sweet guy he knew his brother was cheating on with.
It frustrated him to no end why his brother just couldn't leave his girlfriend and be with the stupid Russian that he knows will fallow him to the end of the earth!
Mathew sobbed silently as to not wake his girlfriend. Why couldn't all just go away!
"Mathew," came a gentle whisper
"Oh, I'm sorry -hic- for waking you,"
Maricela brought Mathew's head to her breasts and massaged his head lightly.
She put the bud of the cigar to his lips and he took a shaky inhale.
He almost immediately started to feel calmer his thoughts drifting away with the smoke.
"We'll move to Cali and take your brother with us. We'll surf and get high and we'll-"
Mathew fell asleep as Maricela promised everything in the world he could ever want.
