[Dual Language Prompt Fill] Cor - homework

Summary:

Cor gets tired. Sometimes, especially where family is involved, it's worth it.

Notes:

For Pandalots' prompt: Cor - homework. Attempts to operate within the context of the beautiful multipart fic that inspired this prompt fill.

I should also mention Amelia uses the honorific "po" here, which is an expression of respect toward superiors/older people. Except when you're being sarcastic. Like Amelia is being.

Work Text:

Cor was tired. He was already working overtime at the Citadel because of a bomb threat investigation, and he still had to sit through some sass from his eldest child over the cell phone.

Just because he asked if his kids were done with homework.

"It's ten o'clock. What do you think?"

He knew that Amelia was just cranky because he'd said he would be home early so they could watch Prompto's favorite cartoons together for the nth time, and he wasn't able to manage it.

And when he got home he found the siblings on the sofa, fallen asleep waiting for him - Ami's arms were around Prompto, and the cartoons they were watching were finished.

They both looked sweet when asleep: two angels waiting for him to get home.

At times like this, Cor simply thought that as long as they were part of his life, all the tiredness was worth it.
