Harry Potter and the Twin Sister

Summary:

What if Harry Potter had a twin sister. The title pretty much says it all. I wanted to make a fan fiction based on how me or another character related to Harry can be portrayed in the Harry Potter franchise, which in this case he's not alone in his adventures. Even though he has Ron and Hermione for support, Harry has a sister who understands what he's going through and hates every minute of every day in the horrible situation of losing their parents, living with stuck up bratty Dursley family, and all these horrible events that occur in the whole book and movie series. They have never been stars on a Quidditch team. They know no spells, have never helped to hatch a dragon, and never worn an invisibility cloak. However, all that is about to change for the both of them when they receive their first letter from a school for witchcraft and wizardry, Hogswarts. And not only do they find friends, aerial sports, and all forms of magic along the way, but a great adventure awaits them in every corner... if only they can survive til the end.

Chapter 1: The Twins Who Lived

Chapter Text

It was nearly midnight on number four Privet Drive of the Dursley residence. Outside their window, there was a cat sitting perfectly still on the corner, just staring at the Dursley's home as though waiting for an invitation from the Dursley's to be invited inside for a nice bowl of warm milk. It wasn't until the cat finally moved when a tall slender bearded old man with a long purple robe and pointed hat, light blue eyes, and crooked nose appeared out of nowhere. His name was Albus Dumbledore.

Albus looked around Privet Drive and pulled out a device that resembled a lighter or flashlight, called a Put-Outer, and with one flick of the wrist drew in the light from each street light in order to not be seen by other people who may be peeping out their windows.

After he was finished, Albus looked down at the cat and said, "I should've known you would be here... Professor McGonagall." Then in the shadows, like out of an sci-fi film, the cat transformed from an ordinary stray cat to a tall slender old woman with emerald green robes and pointed hat.

"Good evening Professor Dumbledore," Professor McGonagall said.

Then she asked, "Are the rumors true, Albus?"

And Dumbledore answered, "I'm afraid so Professor, the good and the bad."

"And the twins?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Hagrid is bringing them," Professor Dumbledore answered.

Professor McGonagall asked, "Do you think it wise to trust Hagrid with something important as this?"

"Aw, Professor," said Dumbledore with a smile, "I would trust Hagrid with my life."

The minute Dumbledore said these words, a noise came from the night sky and a bright ball of light grew larger as the mysterious object gradually descended like an airplane making its descent. The noise grew louder and the bright grew brighter and then made a thud before coming to a screeching halt. It was a flying motorcycle and driving this motorcycle was a giant man who was taller than probably Dumbledore and McGonagall combined with a black beard that went to his chest to match his semi-long black hair. The giant turned off the engine of the motorcycle, took off his goggles, and looked over at Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall.

"Professor Dumbledore sir," the giant said, "Professor McGonagall."

"No problems I trust, Hagrid?" asked Dumbledore as Hagrid unmounted from the motorcycle.

"No sir," Hagrid replied. "The little ones fell asleep as we were flying over Bristle."

Hagrid walked over to Dumbledore.

"Try not to wake them," Hagrid said, "There you go."

Hagrid handed Dumbledore the one of the small bundles wrapped in warm blankets. He then looked down with eyebrows furrowed.

"Ah!" Dumbledore exclaimed. "I sense... there's something wrong with the twin sister." Hagrid and McGonagall looked confused.

"What is it Albus?" Professor McGonagall asked, "Is she not well?"

"No no," Dumbledore answered. "Nothing like that. I sense something... different... about Harry's twin sister."

Dumbledore gave a peculiar look at the twin sister sleeping in his arms and ran his two skinny fingers down her face.

"And it's not the fact she doesn't show a scar like her twin brother, but I can't put my finger on it. Here. Hold on to her." Dumbledore looks over at McGonagall and hands her the small bundle.

"Hand me the twin brother, Hagrid." Dumbledore requested. Hagrid handed Dumbledore the second bundle hoping not to get the same response with the other one. Fortunately, he turned in the direction toward the Dursley's house and everyone else followed suit.

"Albus, do you really think it's safe?" asked McGonagall, "Leaving them here with these people. I've watched them all day. They're the worst sort of Muggles imaginable. They really are!"

"They're only family they have," Dumbledore said abruptly.

"These children will be famous," McGonagall said, "There won't be a child in our world who won't know his name."

"Exactly," said Dumbledore. "They're better off growing up far away from that... until they're ready." Dumbledore placed the twin brother on the welcome mat and McGonagall, hesitant at first to place the twin sister down, gingerly placed the twin sister on the welcome right next to her twin brother. Hagrid couldn't help but shed a tear down his cheek and land in his scruffy beard.

"There there Hagrid," Dumbledore said reassuringly, "It's not really good-bye after all."

Hagrid nodded. Dumbledore then placed a letter addressed to the Dursleys and placed it in between the twins who were sound asleep. He stood up and looked down at the precious twins and said, "Good luck, Harry and Annie Potter."
