Chapter 1: Shut Up and Dance to the Best Song Ever

Chapter Text

It was a rambunctious night in the club. Vision sighed slightly as he entered with his group of friends, Tony being the ring leader of this little adventure they were out on. After telling him he had never been clubbing before, Vision found himself dragged alongside the rest of his workmates that Tony could feasibly round up. The included line up consisted of Bruce, Sam, Steve, Bucky, Rhodey and himself. It was mainly thanks to Bruce and Rhodey’s reassurance that he wouldn’t have to dance that he even agreed to go along in the first place. That, and the notion that Tony would continue to bother him continuously about this was very unappealing and not a prospect he wanted to look forward to.

Tony had bribed the bouncer into allowing them to skip the line, dragging the group of young men into the club behind him in a line. Once they entered, there were swarms of people every which way he looked. Tony grinned up at Vision, yelling over the loud music, “go and mingle, big guy! I’m sure you’ll find something of interest to you.” The statement ended with a wink at him before disappearing into the crowd.

Vision looked around a bit for a place to hide away before he found his eyes on the most singularly stunning young woman he had ever seen. She had long red hair and the most gorgeous pair of green eyes he had ever seen. Wearing a simple but form-hugging red top and black skirt that took his breath away, the beauty holding his eyes to her form indefinitely.

He didn’t get the chance to take a better look at her before a hand landed on his shoulder and brought him back at once, causing him to turn and look at who it belonged to. He was surprised to see Steve standing there, expecting Rhodey or Bruce. “Tony got us a private booth. Come on”. Vision nodded, and allowed himself to be led away, although his mind was still on the beautiful woman he had merely gotten a glance of.

When they reached the booth, Tony had already ordered a few rounds of shots for their table, pushing a couple towards the pair as they arrived. “Gentlemen! Finally, you showed up. Now, let’s get partying!” Tony’s grin widened as he grabbed his own shot and downed it easily. Bucky exchanged a look with Steve before each of them took a shot. Vision merely looked at the dark liquid in his glass before downing it. It burned his throat as it went down.

He must have made a face at the flavor, because Bucky said “Burns goin’ down, huh?”

“It is certainly not something I could see myself becoming used to drinking” Vision admitted as he looked over at Bucky.

Bucky just chuckled and shook his head.

“You’ll be fine. You should probably take a couple more shots. Need to loosen up!” Tony chimed in as he pushed a couple more shots towards Vision. The blond glanced over at Rhodey who shrugged at him. “Tony’s stubborn, he’ll keep trying to loosen you up all night long”.

Vision looked at the billionaire across from him, seeing the truth in that statement in Tony’s face. Knowing resistance would be pointless, Vision downed the shots Tony offered him, downing three more before Steve told Tony “Knock it off. The kid doesn’t need to drink so much”.

“What, he needs to loosen up! Poor kid’s first time in a club, he needs to make sure he gets lucky tonight!” Tony protested.

Vision rolled his eyes at the notion. “If I want to pursue something with someone, it will not be because you ‘helped’ me by pumping me full of alcohol. I have a feeling it could have the opposite effect”.

“Hey now, don’t doubt liquid courage,” Sam chimed in. “I know for a fact my sister would’ve never gotten married if my brother-in-law hadn’t had at least two shots to loosen up before introducing himself. Just don’t drink too much.”

“How much is too much? I’ve never been out drinking before,” Vision replied with a furrowed brow, looking amongst the group for an answer.

“I would say for a beginner, you probably have had enough for now Vision. You don’t want to drink too much too fast,” Bruce told him with Rhodey nodding along in agreement. Tony rolled his eyes at them. “He’s a tall, strong young man! A couple of shots won’t do him in”. Vision looked away from the group as they continued to bicker the point, a flash of black and red catching his eye. His gaze lingered, surprised to see it was that same woman he had seen earlier.

Realizing it to be her, his chest tightened, and he felt a blossoming of butterflies in his stomach. This time, seeing her, it was different, this time she had noticed his interested gaze from afar. For Vision, it was like there were no other souls in the room just then. As he watched, she gave him a smile. It wasn’t an ordinary smile either; it was gorgeous. The kind of smile he wanted to see every day. She made a motion for him to come over to her. Vision stood to meet her when a hand on his shoulder held him in place, breaking him out of it all. “Where’re you trying to go, slugger?” Bucky asked as Vision turned to see Steve had stopped him from getting up. Tony noticed where his gaze had been and smirked. “Did someone catch your eye there, kiddo?” He teased the younger man. Vision rolled his eyes at Tony’s tone but said nothing to rebuke the claim.

“C’mon man, you can tell us. Some beautiful damsel out there getting your circuits firing?” Sam asked in a similar tone to Tony as he sipped on the scotch, his eyes scanning the crowd for who could have caught the younger man’s attention as he turned his head around.

“Sam, he’s not a computer. Don’t treat him like one,” Steve told his friend with irritation clear in his tone.

Sam shrugged. “He’s the most robotic individual I’ve ever met in my life, Steve. Can’t help but point it out a bit.”

“He does have a point, Captain,” Vision nodded as he glanced over the group in the booth.

Steve sighed and shook his head at this. “You don’t have to defend Sam, Vision.”

“I assure you, it’s nothing I haven’t heard before,” Vision replied in an even, cool tone.

“Yeah, loosen up, Capsicle!” This sparked another short round of arguing amongst the group. Vision welcomed the shift in focus. He was only half listening with partial interest before he felt a tap on his shoulder.

Turning, he was face to face with that stunning woman from before. “Come and dance with me,” she said without so much as an introduction, reaching down and grabbing one of his hands.

“Uh-” He began but was soon cut off.

“Just shut up and dance with me.” She tugged his hand, the look in her eyes leaving him with no choice but to comply. The pair made their way onto the floor, the woman smirking up at Vision once they were lost in the crowd. After finding some room for themselves, she looked up at him expectantly. Vision looked back down into her eyes, becoming more and more flustered as it became clear he was unsure of what to do next. The woman just smiled at him, taking both of his hands in hers and began to twirl them around, guiding him. He was still nervous but he was slowly relaxing with her reassuring smile and guidance, trying to follow along to the rhythm of the loud music in the club.

“I uh… never got to introduce myself earlier….” Vision said as they moved together, earning a nod from his dance partner. “I’m.. Vision. I am terribly sorry, I’ve never… been to a club, or dancing before.”  “Well, I’m happy to help teach you. I’m Wanda”.

Wanda. Hearing her name brought a smile to Vision’s face. He decided to take a bit of control of their dancing. Dropping one of her hands, he carefully used the other to twirl her. Wanda’s smile seemed to only have widened as they came face to face again. “You’re a quick learner,” she mused with a sparkle in those beautiful green eyes. “You’re a wonderful teacher” he responded, pulling her a bit closer as they continued to move together on the dance floor.

“Well, if you were so inclined, I may be able to teach you a lot of different things….” Wanda said with a sly smirk, a wink punctuating her statement.

The tone and implication of her words encouraged his gaze to shift down from her eyes, gazing over her gorgeous body once more, igniting a fire inside of him. Vision twirled her again. This time, however, he pulled her against him halfway through the spin, her back against his chest as he leaned down to her ear, voice just loud enough for her. “I would be eager to learn from you….”.

With their bodies pressed together, he felt the slight shiver that went down her spine as she pulled away, spinning to face him once more.

“My, someone is rather bold…” The glint in those mesmerizing eyes had turned a bit darker now, stoking the growing inferno in Vision as he gave her a smirk of his own. “Only when I have my heart stolen by a gorgeous woman” was his smooth reply as they held eye contact, moving in close proximity due to the crowd and the growing tension between them.

Vision was unsure what his next move should be. He had never been so brazen with a woman before, especially one as gorgeous and charming as Wanda was. He never wanted to leave this space, dancing with her on the floor, their bodies so close together. Not to mention that look in her eyes. It stoked the fire inside of him and made the heat rise to the back of his neck. Vision was very tempted to kiss her, though his earlier shyness kept him from following through with the idea. Wanda seemed to sense his hesitation, bridging the gap for him by releasing his hands, wrapping them around his neck. His hands came to rest cautiously on her waist, drawn into the absolute proximity, mere inches between their bodies.

Their eyes were locked in a passionate gaze, Wanda the one to break the eye contact by gazing longingly at his lips. Vision knew what she wanted. That look and the way she bit her own lower lip as her eyes met his made it clear as day. However, he couldn’t help but ask “May I kiss you, Wanda?”

Wanda’s only response was to finally close the gap, her lips pressing against his passionately.

As their lips connected, their bodies did as well. Vision hadn’t intended to, but as he felt himself get lost in the feeling of her soft lips on his, her tongue sliding its way into his mouth to explore, his hands gripped her hips and pressed their bodies together. No space remained between them with their lips locked, only breaking away for air when it became too much.

As their lips separated and they gazed into one another’s eyes, Wanda sported a slight grin. “You are full of surprises. You say you’ve never been clubbing or dancing, but you are an extraordinary kisser.”

Vision only matched her grin, recognizing her intention to tease him. “You are full of surprises yourself, my dear. When I first saw you, I never thought you would seek me out, let alone allow me the opportunity to kiss you.”

“How could I resist these beautiful blue eyes, this gorgeous blond hair, or this impressive physique?” Wanda continued to tease him, her hands leaving from behind his neck and running down the front of his shirt, drawing in a breath from Vision, his grip unintentionally tightening on her hips. He leaned down to her ear, practically growling, “you’re certainly one to talk…. With a gorgeous body like this….”. He did not fail to notice the shiver down her spine as he backed away, easing the grip on her hips.

It was then that Vision noticed that his coat was getting far too hot for his liking, even as he was hesitant to step away from Wanda. “Wanda, darling… I’m sorry to have to step away, but… Things have heated up far too much for my liking…..” Her eyes flashed up to his, clearly wanting him to stay close. “Aw, but Vis…” she purred, pulling him in by his blazer. The nickname was endearing, drawing Vision back into her. He placed another kiss on her lips, this one slower but not lacking in passion before pulling away and removing his hands from her.

“I will only be a moment darling,” he assured her as he stepped away, the disappointment that flashed across her face, pained him. However, the heat from his suit jacket was going to suffocate him if he didn’t remove it. Vision was lost in the crowd for a few moments before eventually finding his way back towards the entrance. Once there, he removed his coat after putting his wallet and phone in his pants’ pockets. It was then that he realized he was rather sweaty from dancing with Wanda.

This realization only served to give him a bit of anxiety about returning to her side. Provided he was able to find her, with the large crowd and the flashing lights. As the base dropped on the music, Vision’s eyes scanned the crowd, looking this way and that for her. Normally, a taller man like himself would have no problem finding someone in a crowd, but the low lights and dancing people made it a touch more difficult.

Nevertheless, he eventually found the best looking woman in the crowd. He spotted her and walked up from behind, placing his hands on her hips from behind and leaning into her ear. “Hello darling… Did you miss me?” Vision whispered in a low timber, relishing the look on Wanda’s face when she turned back to him. He gave her a grin, taking one of her hands and twirling her around to face him.

She matched his grin. “That depends….” she teased him, pulling him closer to her. “Oh? On what?” was his response as they pressed together, mere inches between their lips as they gazed into one another’s eyes. “If you’re going to kiss me again”

This time Vision needed no invitation, cupping one of her cheeks before closing the distance, his lips kissing hers slowly at first, but the kiss quickly became heated. His teeth grazed her bottom lip, making her gasp and open her mouth. Ever an efficient man who never wasted an opportunity, he began to explore her mouth with his tongue, gripping her hips tightly as he kept her body pulled up against his own. They were lost in the moment as Vision tasted the fruity drinks she must have had before they began dancing, the refreshing taste on her tongue intoxicating him. It wasn’t just their taste that was driving him crazy and making him feel more drunk than before; it was the way her tongue felt pressing against his, the perfect way her hips fit in his hands and the way she felt flush against him. Unfortunately, the need for oxygen overtook their senses far too soon for either of their liking, breathlessly breaking the kiss apart for air. “With kisses like that, you make it hard not to miss you,” Wanda said between breaths with a grin up at Vision. Vision grinned back and was about to say something when a hand clamped down on his shoulder.

He turned, seeing Rhodey. “There you are, Vision. We’ve been looking all over for you.”

“I am sorry to have worried you, Rhodey.”

“It’s alright Vision. Just stay here, I’ll go get Tony and you guys can introduce us to your friend,” Rhodey said with a nod to Wanda.

Wanda didn’t take any notice, leaning up to Vision’s ear as though to say something. Instead of hearing her voice, Vision felt her lips press just underneath his ear. Her lips started off with innocent touches, a couple of gentle kisses. Her teeth joined in the fun, biting down and sucking on the skin of his neck. It was intense, her mouth working diligently against his skin. A low groan erupted from his throat as his hand moved from her hip to grip her ass, squeezing as her teeth bit down again. Her teeth released his neck, her lips taking over to suck on the skin again, intense in their relentless pressure. Vision gripped onto Wanda to keep from going weak, feeling a bit dazed by the time she released his neck with an audible pop.

Vision looked down at the grin on her face and almost growled at the sight, about to lean down and kiss it off her face when she placed a hand on his chest to hold him back. “Shall we head home, darling?” He asked before he realized the implications. "I mean, your home, not mine, and I'd walk you, not come in. Unless…”

Wanda sported that same teasing grin before she whispered in his ear, “never in your wildest dreams,” her tongue dragging along her handiwork on his skin before she took a step back from him. His hand slid away from her body as she stepped back, the crowd swallowing her before he could say anything else.

Vision was alone like this when Rhodey returned with Tony in tow. “Hey kid. Having fun?” Tony asked him. He didn’t respond until a hand was waved in front of his face.

“Yo, Robocop. You alright? You seem dazed.” As Vision registered the sound of concern in Tony’s voice, he looked down at his friend after giving a slight nod.

“I am perfectly fine, Tony. My dance partner just slipped away.”

“Yeah, Rhodey told me you had a friend to introduce to us. Guess she’s a shy one.” Vision suppressed a slight chuckle as he gave a nod, straightening the cuffs of his shirt with some clear nerves. “She’s wonderful..” He said quietly, smiling a bit. Tony’s loud voice snapped him back as it asked “What did you say?”

“Wanda. Her name was Wanda”
