3:41AM // Clear
“How about we go for now? She can stay here asleep.”
Phoenix’s voice is further evidence of sudden discourtesy, as it comes low and raspy. Though being a club, some rowdy bartender had placed a subtle radio that was more than audible to the ears of the people. This clicked in the still-annoyed messenger standing still, waiting for her senior to finally come along.
Mostima, however, did not share the same sentiment.
“Mhm,” as she hummed with an intermission, she disagreed. “Give me a little more time.”
Phoenix put her hands on her waist to exclaim, “Please be serious.”
“I thought you knew me better than I thought.”
“...”
Silence. Mostima mindlessly watches the timer tick down as the conversation seems to die. Somewhere in the awkward state, Exusiai began to move a bit, mumbling to desperately cling onto the hands she was holdning. Likewise, Mostima returned the favour and rest assured the redhead by doing the same, but tighter through a smile on her face.
“Fine.” Phoenix loosened up. “I will come back for you again in the afternoon.”
“Thanks for understanding.”
With each passing step heard resulted in more and more ease. Anyone could have known that it is not so difficult, not while Mostima is around, yet she persisted. Being fairly wise does not exclude her from trying to enjoy the mortal enjoyments of humane emotions. And so she wanted to indulge the very little time she had on herself with the person right in front of her, fondling in a sense.
Mostima pinched her cheeks, “Exusiai, wake up.”
In return, she growled. As a hefty sleeper like her would.
Despite not being blood-related, they looked awfully similar too. Or maybe just similar traits? For Mostima, it was both. Very few people actually had the knowledge prior to her present work status, Exusiai not being one of them. Although Mostima does not care, it is Exusiai who wants to be by her side.
Exusiai being the one always following and running towards her till the end.
This time, it will be no different either.
… (pause)
“Ah, this sure is tiring.”
Mostima sighed.
And for the last time again, she bid her a farewell in silence.
Taking her warm stroke away.
Till we meet again.
