Skeppy was excited for his newest prank. Bad had left this can of paint sitting here for a long time, not actually doing anything with it. It made Skeppy a bit upset too, he loved the light blue color of the paint and wished Bad had used it to paint at least one wall in the house.
But the demon hadn't and instead left the paint sitting there. Skeppy decided that now he would take matters into his own hands. If Bad wouldn't use the paint, Skeppy would.
That all led to now, where Skeppy found himself dragging the last of the paint balls he had created towards Bad's room. They weren't too hard to make for the borrower and were very similar to water balloons that humans make. These little balls would be able to get the job done well enough though.
Skeppy finally made his way to Bad's rooms and carefully set the last paint balloons down in a pile with the rest. Bad was out getting groceries right now and wouldn't be back for a while still, so Skeppy had plenty of time to finish his task.
The borrower looked around at the red and black walls, deciding where he wanted to start. He eventually chose the wall with barely anything in front of it, only wanting to paint the walls and not Bad's belongings.
He picked up one of the balls and grinned to himself. He pulled back his arm and threw the ball towards the wall.
Skeppy yelled out in joy as it splattered onto the wall, leaving a light blue splatter of paint on the once red wall. He realized that he may not be able to cover an entire wall, but the splatter looked cool, so he was willing to leave it like that.
A few more throws later, the wall was covered in blue splatters. The red was still visible underneath, making the wall a strange mix of red with blue splatters everywhere.
Skeppy had noticed that there was very little paint that didn't make it onto the walls. Very little of it made its way onto the floor and anywhere else in the room.
He grinned. That meant he could paint the other walls too without painting anything else.
He turned to the next wall, a new paint ball in hand. He had some painting to finish now!
After a couple hours, Skeppy was out of paint. He proudly looked around at his handiwork. Blue splatters littered all four of the walls in Bad's rooms. Now all the walls were either black with blue paint splatters or red with blue paint splatters.
Plus, Bad should be home soon. And Skeppy was very excited to see his friend's reaction to Skeppy's latest project.
Speaking of, Skeppy ran out of the room and towards the kitchen as he heard the front door open.
"I'm home!"
Skeppy excitedly threw his hook up onto the counter and began making his way up. Behind him, he heard Bad enter the kitchen and set the bags down on the table. A hand snuck underneath Skeppy so the borrower let go of the string and fell into the waiting hand.
Bad chuckled as Skeppy plopped down into his hand. He brought the borrower up and gently slid him onto the counter before going to put away his groceries.
"What did you do while I was gone, Geppy?" Skeppy grinned as he watched Bad begin putting away the groceries. He won't spoil it for the demon, he's sure Bad's reaction will be amazing when he sees it.
"Oh, just finished up a project of mine, that's all." Skeppy had to hold in a laugh as Bad paused and slowly set the last of the groceries in the fridge. He carefully turned towards Skeppy, wariness now plastered on his face.
"What kind of project are we talking about?" Bad said his words slowly, making it very difficult for Skeppy to keep his laughter in. Bad was already suspicious, this was amazing.
"Just a little something I did for you!" Bad stared at Skeppy for a few silent seconds, trying to figure out what the borrower did this time. He studied the borrower a bit until his gaze landed on something blur that seemed to be smeared on Skeppy's hand and pant leg.
He reached out a hand and carefully grabbed Skeppy's arm to closer examine the blue spot. The borrower fidgeting a bit in Bad's hold but otherwise didn't pull away, knowing Bad wasn't going to hurt him. This was normal behavior for both of them.
Bad's eyes widened as he began to realize what the blue substance was and stared at Skeppy with a terrified look.
"Skeppy, please don't tell me this is paint." Skeppy smiled up at Bad in response, making the demon begin to panic. "Skeppy. What did you paint?"
Skeppy was beginning to find it harder to keep himself from laughing. Bad's hands quickly scooped the borrower up as Bad left the kitchen in a panic.
Skeppy watched as Bad began searching everywhere for Skeppy's little "project." He was well aware that Skeppy had done something he wasn't supposed to. He probably painted one of the lampshades or something.
But Bad wasn't finding anything painted the wrong color. He had checked almost every room and found nothing. The only place left was his bedroom.
Bad walked slowly towards his room, scared at what he would find. He walked into his room and froze as he saw the blue paint splatters all over the walls.
After looking up at Bad's face, Skeppy could no longer keep his laughter in and began laughing hysterically, holding onto one of the demon's fingers to keep himself balanced.
Bad stayed quiet for a bit longer, taking in Skeppy's paint job on his room.
"I know I should be mad at you, but I don't hate this."
Skeppy's laughter began to die down and he looked up to Bad shocked. He's glad his friend isn't angry but this was not the reaction he was expecting.
"It doesn't look half bad," Bad continued. "And, it kind of makes it feel more like a room for you too, especially seeing how you sleep in here as well. I think I like this."
Skeppy stared up at Bad for a few more seconds before softly smiling and moving his gaze to look at the walls. He hummed a bit in acknowledgement.
"You know what, you're right. Now it's officially our room." Skeppy was happy with this, and it seemed Bad was too. This may not have ended how Skeppy thought it would, but he thinks it has ended up better than he ever imagined.
He did end up with a lecture on not painting the walls again though. Apparently it was not a good idea if Bad ever had visitors over. At least Bad was impressed by the fact that Skeppy painted the walls himself!
