Work Text:
Dear Diary,
I feel lazy today.
I’ve never felt so lazy in my life (well, there are some instances) but today, has been the laziest day of my life. I’ve slept almost 24/7 and Chenle, CHENLE! The little child who wouldn’t wake up even if Jisung promised him chicken, was the one who had to wake me up. He told me that he was worried I would get sick if I didn’t eat. Isn’t he so cute and caring?
That’s why Jaemin, take care of a child WHO WILL LOVE YOU LIKE YOU LOVE THEM.
Oh, and on that note, we ordered garlic chicken because I was craving it.
Its weird how the world works, doesn’t it?
But really, this laziness is unreal.
It’s been a couple weeks into my university lectures, and !!! my mid-exams are going to be a failure for sure.
But sleep..
Sleep is fun and cozy.
Sleep is soo good… and it doesn’t hurt!
Unlike classes where some people feel the urge to ask questions even if it’s 20 minutes past the allocated finishing time.
I’M LOOKING AT YOU YANGYANG!

Renjun sighs and rubs his eyes as he places his pen down and closes his sticker-covered binder. The medium-sized binder had once been transparent, a birthday gift from his roommate, Jaemin. It had been wrapped in a Moomin-themed paper wrapper, and Renjun had loved it so much, he had hugged it to his chest until his friends told him that he could open it. Renjun had cut off the wrapper edges that were ruined by the tape, and plastered it to the front page of the binder in remembrance.
Ever since finishing his previous notebooks, which now sat still on the book case in his room and observed their owners every move, Renjun had spent his sweet time decorating the binder, making the binder as homey to him as possible, if that makes sense. He stares at one of the many stickers he’s decorated over the cover, and this time, it’s a pink bunny holding a lollipop. It’s cute and Renjun finds himself smiling at it.
Thankfully, the sticker doesn’t smile back.
Otherwise, Renjun would scream.

Speaking of stickers, Jeno bought me a few more packs last week!
He told me that there had been a sale, and a voucher of sorts, so the price all cancelled out. I didn’t bother to ask more, because they were soo cute! Have you ever seen a red panda sticker? Or stickers of little smiling bears?
Ughh, I’ve gotta buy something good for Jeno this year.
A rabbit plushie? Jeno seems to like anything that reminds him of Jaemin.
Welp, I forgot that he also likes Donghyuck.
Should I get him a rabbit and bear plushie?
I’ve seen a few cute ones…

Renjun wakes up to the sound of his alarm beeping too far away from him. He’s learned the hard way that if he left his phone right next to him while sleeping, he wouldn’t even realize that he had shut off the alarm to make way for a longer period of sleeping.
It had happened once, when Renjun had planned a date with a boy who had just asked him out. That boy never contacted him again after Renjun messaged him an hour later, apologizing for forgetting their breakfast as he had been busy handling his university’s press. The boy never replied. Renjun soon found out from Donghyuck that the boy was actually a cheater, so Renjun guesses that all’s well that ends well.
‘True story™,’ Renjun thinks as he flips around in bed, letting the alarm run itself a marathon.
He looks around and finds his binder laid open a few inches away from him, and realizes that he fell asleep while writing.
.
.
Without brushing his teeth.
.
Great, his teeth will get worse, wouldn’t they?

Dear Diary,
It turns out that I never learn from my past mistakes.
I cannot lay down on my bed at night before I have brushed my teeth! Let’s just hope that I don’t get cavities. Sigh.
The call of the bed is just too great.

Renjun finds himself falling asleep again as he returns from classes, not even bothering to shower first. He changes into a t-shirt, takes off his pants, and lays flat on his bedroom floor, soaking in the coolness of the tiles.
Classes had been hectic today, his teachers giving him papers, presentations, and videos to be completed by the end of next week. He hated that very much. They had so much time before, and they just had to do it now? Near exams? It just didn’t make sense.
Has Renjun also mentioned how he hated making videos? The process for editing them just took far too much time, and Renjun’s not even an amateur in it. He’s a newly born baby who opened its eyes and started to cry. In Renjun’s opinion, Jaemin was more of the type to spend his time in front of the computer, making sure that everything played its part. Renjun just wants to complete his work. He isn’t even sure why an astrobiology student like him needs to write papers and make videos. Like, what was the point?
Renjun groans loudly in frustration. Why did aliens have to be so far away?
“Dude, wear some pants,” Chenle says, eyeing Renjun as he passes by his opened door.
Renjun rolls his eyes and stays still like before, spread open like a starfish on the cold and cozy floor. “I didn’t ask you to look!”

Dear Diary,
I am a failure.
Today, Donghyuck introduced me to his childhood best friend who had moved from Canada, to South Korea, to Canada, and now he’s back in South Korea. Weird huh. (I’ve been saying weird a lot too.) Like who moves twice?
Donghyuck says that it was because his friend missed him too much.
I am very not sure of that fact, as even if Donghyuck reminds me of the sun and is so kind and cute on regular days, IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO ESCAPE HIM, YOU RUN. YOU RUN FAR, FAR AWAY, AND FIND THE MOON TO LOVE.
Jeno and Jaemin will definitely slap me if they read this, but they never will >:D nor will I ever let them.
Anyway.. Donghyuck introduced him as Mark Lee.
And now I just realized that we have three Lee’s in our family right now.
But anyway, Donghyuck goes, “He’s Mark Lee!”
And I go, “Hey Maple Moose!”
