Work Text:
I don’t do this for the riches,
I’m infected, my condition is I’m always in my head.
“You know, when I hear this song, I always think of you,” you murmured as your fingers carded idly through Jason’s hair.
It was one of those few peaceful date nights that had gone uninterrupted by any and everything. Jason made dinner, you both watched a movie, and somehow the two of you had ended up holding each other while slowly circling in that style of ‘dancing’ you always saw in movies. Nevermind the fact that the song’s tempo absolutely did not match your movements.
He hummed, eyes trained on yours as an amused smirk formed on his face. “Oh, really?”
You paused. “I’ve said that before, haven’t I?”
“Only a few times,” his teal eyes sparkled with mirth. “Along with that being the reason it’s your favorite song.”
You tipped your head forward so that your forehead rested against his collarbone. “I’m becoming one of those people that never has anything new to say.”
Jason chuckled. “Don’t worry about it,” he soothed, laughter still dancing in his tone. “I think it’s cute. Besides, you’re kind of right about the song; it’s a little eerie.”
Bet you thought that I was dead, but I’m not dead. I’m not dead.
Bet you didn’t think that I’d come back to life!
