The Interview

Work Text:

It was like you pictured it. When you walked into the small room, giant posters of the upcoming Marvel movie stood tall behind each of the chairs. The crew had been setting up for a few minutes already and PA had told you to wait in the chair. It was nerve-wracking, your first interview ever. You sat there while make-up was being touched up just before the interviewer came. Aside from the place where you were at, anything around it was bare. Dark curtains hung from the wall, hiding the pale white walls of the actual room, only the door was somehow the only thing illuminated from where you saw.

The interviewer walked in and shook your hand. It’s your time now. She introduced himself to the camera and turned to you as if she was acting but really she was just enthusiastic.

“Good morning! Bright and early!”

“I know! Thank god I got coffee.”

“Tell me about it. It’s nice to meet you.”

“You too. I always watched your interviews on Youtube. You’re pretty amazing,” you almost stuttered as you tried to stop moving your leg.

“Thank you! I’m glad to meet someone who does watch them. So, big movie. How does it feel to be part of the MCU?”

“It’s definitely some big shoes to fill with all the great actors from the past. But I love it. I live for the MCU since I was in high school.”

“Interesting, that’s cool.” She continues to ask questions about the movie and you were happy to answer as much as you could without getting in trouble with Marvel. You didn’t want to be like Holland or Ruffalo who’d spoil the movie. “Listen, I think fans of yours know you are a huge Chris Evans.” You blushed.

“I got fans already? That’s a fluke.”

“No seriously, you got a pretty big fanbase. Could I ask how you got into Evans?”

“Sure. I mean from an actor’s standpoint, he was amazing since I saw him in the Fantastic Four movies. I was a kid then, so I didn’t really start paying attention to him until he was Cap. After a while, I just found the guy to be attractive and since then, I’ve gushed about him ever since.”

“Okay, okay,” she said with a big smile, “Anything in particular you like about him?”

“Easy. Adorkable. The guy is a childish menace and it always warms my heart when he laughs or when his accent comes out. Oh god, don’t let me ramble on. I can’t be fangirling here!” you joked.

“That’s so sweet! Last thing before we wrap it up, you’ve never met him right?” You nodded. “Okay, if there was anything you could say to him now, what would it be?” She pointed to the camera next to her and you looked directly into it.

“Hi, Chris. I’m a huge fan of yours. I hope we can meet and/or work together soon! You’re very attractive and if you’re interested, we can go out drinking some time.” You gave a smile and wink and turned back to the interviewer.

“Damn! Shoot your shot girl!”

The interview ended and you were in the green room waiting for your ride. Your phone dinged prompting you to check who texted you.

I’m attractive huh

Oh come on, you know you are!

I know but I didn’t think you’d be so open about it

How can I when I got the best boyfriend in the world?

Sure honey. I’ll see you at home.

Okay Chris. I love you!
