No Traces In The Forest

School is about to end for the students of Evermore High School. Elias and Adrian are messing around in the front of the school, then Ruben accidentally bumps into Elias. Elias apologizes and asks for Ruben’s name, because he finds him attractive. Ruben tells him his name then they become acquainted. Owen catches up to Ruben and pulls Ruben to class as they talk about Elias and Adrian. Later, when school ended, Elias made sure to wait in the front of the school to ask Ruben for his number. Ruben arrived and saw Elias waiting there, so he walked towards him. Elias asked for his number and Ruben gave it to him. Their friendship began to blossom right then. Ruben knew a special place that he came to every summer, he had never shown anyone this place before. This place was the forest. And it soon became their place.

POV | Elias

Annoying. Dreadful. Loud. These words described my alarm clock. It was so early in the morning, and as usual, I was tired. I picked up my phone and turned the alarm off with a firm tap. *6:01 AM, why does school love to torture me?* As I rolled my eyes, I walked to my dresser and got dressed.

I made my way to my bathroom to brush my teeth. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. *My hair's a mess, jesus.* I looked for my comb to fix the nest on my head. I splashed some water on my face to help me feel awake. My phone began to ring as I was brushing my teeth. *Adrian.* It was my best friend Adrian Higgins. I answered fast. "What's up thood?" (What's up dude?) I said while I placed my phone down.

"Nothing much! I just got bored, as usual. Are you brushing your teeth?"

"Yeth I am, Adthrian. How coulth you tell?" (Yes I am, Adrian. How could you tell?)

"You sound like you're high or something, plus I always end up calling you while you're brushing your teeth somehow."

I laugh at his remark. I spit out the tooth paste, and gargle some water. "You ready for school to end?"

"Of course I am dude! This summer's going to be lit, I'm telling you bro!"

I smiled, "Yeah, it probably will be. Are you already ready?"

I heard him laugh, "Yes dude! I'm always ready before you, you know this! I'm so like, I don't know, I guess like hyper? In the morning."

"Hmmm.... wonder why. Maybe because you drink Monsters instead of water, because you're 'sooooo cool'." I laughed at my own comment.

"Oh shut it, Eli! But.. yeah.. maybe.. Pfft!" Yep. Just like Adrian. Laughing at everything. I checked the time, *6:34 AM*. "Since I'm ready now, should we go to the skate park while we wait?"

I could hear Adrian let out a long, over exaggerated gasp. "Dude, uh, YES! We haven't been there in a whole ass month! Let me get my skateboard, bet I'll beat you there!"

I smirked, "Yeah okay buddy, we'll see!" I hung up the phone and quickly put on my shoes and grabbed my skateboard. I opened my door and ran towards the skate park.
