Chapter Text
He could count the number of times he'd slept in his own bed in the past year on one hand; being both the head of the Board of Directors at McDuck Enterprises and the Director of F.O.W.L. didn't leave a person with a lot of free time for sleeping. And it seemed even now, with one of those positions removed, he wasn't going to have much of an opportunity to catch up on it, if the wailing infant in the bassinet was anything to go by.
He reached in and pulled the duckling out, checking her diaper - and finding it clean, thank goodness - he cradled her in one arm as he shuffled his way to the kitchen. She howled in his ear the whole way. Retrieving a bottle from the machine he stole from F.O.W.L. that kept the formula at the right temperature he offered it to the baby, who found it amenable to stop her crying to latch on hungrily.
"Oh April, you have no idea how much you've cost me."
