The familiar scent of tea and coffee that once surrounded Sesa and Passenger respectively had morphed into a strange blend as they spent more time together.
Although the other drink smelt good, it did not taste as good. Passenger found Sesa’s tea bad. Machine processed teabags lost its pure essence and gave it a slight charred taste. Sesa, being a sweet tooth, found Passenger’s black coffee too bitter. Which Passenger teased Sesa for.
It was amusing to bother the Vouivre, who could only add more sugar cubes silently while glaring at him.
‘Hey, Passenger. Although you don’t like my tea, have you drunk blends of coffee and tea before? There’s a drink from Lungmen that’s made up of coffee, tea, and condensed milk called yuan-yang. I like to drink that sometimes.’
Lately, this smell made Sesa think of that Lungmen drink. He might as well extend this offer to Passenger. Despite the occasional teasing, Passenger was a good partner to work with. Finally, another genius who could connect at his level. Passenger learnt fast and was efficient. Especially needed in the ongoing maintenance and further research of firearms that did not require Originium.
And then there was Passenger’s looks too. Those long locks and that beautiful countenance… such eye candy.
‘I haven’t. Sounds interesting though. Looks like I have a lot to keep up with huh…’
Yet a reminder that he had lost so much time at Sargon’s desert and he was old. Unlike Sesa, who was still young.
‘Okay! Let’s go to the cafeteria to ask for it… You better not diss it like you did to my tea.’
‘Why bother going so far, when you can mix coffee and tea right here?’
Passenger pulled Sesa’s collar and went closer to him. Every time they had coffee and tea together, the desire to taste those lips of the other increased. Ever since he first saw that cheery smile on Sesa’s face, he could not get it out of his mind.
And just as he expected, Sesa’s face started turning red at the sudden movement and proximity. He also started to squirm slightly as his tail swayed behind. How adorable.
‘What are you--? Mmmph!’
Before Sesa could finish asking, Passenger planted his lips on Sesa. Black tea and sugar mixed with coffee as he wriggled his tongue around Sesa’s tongue and fangs.
Meanwhile, the bitter black coffee taste encroached on the sweeter black tea as Sesa nervously licked Passenger’s lips and the tip of his tongue.
The taste was not too bad, though what tasted better was the person that they now held.
After a minute or so, they let go. The feathers on Passenger’s head were flapping, while Sesa’s tail was wagging quickly.
‘Um, at least tell me before you’re going to do that!’ Sesa broke the silence when he regained enough composure to cross his arms and respond to Passenger’s sudden advance.
‘That would have been no fun. This is payback for the sugar cube in my coffee the other time.’ Though compared to the sugar cube, Sesa’s tongue tasted way better.
‘I see… Are you still, uh, interested in the drink? Was going get it hot, but I’ll have to get it iced after… you know...’
Passenger nodded in agreement. He was also starting to feel warm.
‘S-same. I’ll need an iced drink too. Let’s go.’
