    Ted Lasso hands her his resignation--this time on typed, neat letterhead with this loopy signature scrawled at the bottom--along with the unsigned offer for a contact extension she'd sent him last week and the recipe for the biscuits he brings her every morning.

    "It's not that I don't appreciate the offer," he says, voice thick with emotion and eyes glassy. "But I've got a little boy counting on me back home and--"

    "No, no, don't be silly. I should have known."
