October 28th, 2021
Exactly a month after Norton and Naib had broken up and Naib had just found someone new.
“Norton!”
The raven haired man heard his name being called from a distance. He looked at the screenshot of a story post one last time before shutting his phone off and putting it in his pocket. He looked behind him to see who was calling his name.
It was Fiona. The pink haired woman was jogging towards Norton at a surprisingly quick pace.
She looked worried.
Norton began walking towards her so that she didn’t have to jog as far.
They both eventually met face to face and Fiona stopped for a minute and put her hands on her knees panting for air.
“Did you see what Naib posted??” The pinked haired women asked once recovered.
Oh, Norton definitely saw what was posted. He stared at the picture for 5 minutes straight while in a state of denial. It was a photo of Naib and Martha at the park having a picnic with just the two of them. The two looked so happy. Norton found it unbelievable, how did Naib move on so easily?
Norton clicked his tongue in frustration. He didn’t want to think about it.
“Yep, Mike sent it to me.” The raven haired man tried his hardest to not sound jealous. Why would he be jealous? They’ve broken up already and Naib was just being happy. Norton was allowed to move on too so why was he jealous?
Fiona looked concerned. She knew how much Norton loved Naib and the other way around. But I guess things just don’t always work out huh?
“I’m always here if you need someone to talk to, okay? Don’t let these things eat you up from the inside. You can always talk to me and the group chat.” She said while giving Norton a pat on the shoulder.
Of course, Norton knew these things but he never took the offers seriously. Why would you need to let out your feelings if you could just buy your own happiness?
