I miss you so much, how are you? This has been the longest week of my life. America is beautiful, but it’s nothing without you. We’ve been searching through old libraries for books on old magic. It’s quite interesting, but we still haven’t found what we’re looking for, I think we’ll go south and look through the Mayan pyramids, I hear they’re filled with old runes.
I found a book for Harry, it’s all of these old wives’ tales, I think you’d like them too. How is Harry? Please tell me you haven’t been letting him stay up all night, you know how he gets when his sleep schedule is off. Did you get my package? I have you like the sweater I got you, I know it’s not your style, but it’s a good quality.
I miss you so much, my love. I can’t wait to see you again. I have to go now, we’re going to some kind of shop for muggle magic items (yes, I promise I’ll bring you and Harry something.)

I miss you too. Harry and I are doing well. I'm glad you’re liking America, I went once when I was a kid. I didn't much like it, but it was a family trip, so that’s to be expected. Have you seen that mountain with the faces on it? I didn’t see it when I went but James showed me a picture once. I wish you could tell me what you’re looking for, not that I’d be any help, I just want to know what you’re doing every day.
You know Harry is only three, so I’m not sure how you think he’ll be reading anything. Harry is good, yes, he’s been going to sleep one time (well, pretty much on time). Molly and Arthur have been over a few times, did you tell them I can’t cook? Because Molly seems to think I shouldn’t be allowed near a stove.
What kind of things are in a muggle magic shop? Are any of them real magic? You better bring me something interesting. I’m going to take Harry to the beach today, Mary sends her love as well. Please come home soon.

You’ll never guess what happened today; We found part of it (I’m so sorry I can’t tell you anything more, but you know how Kingsley is about security), we still have more work, but I should be home within the month.
I’m glad you and Harry are doing well. Obviously Harry can’t read it himself yet (although, you know I’m trying to teach him, he’ll be able to read it by the time he’s four). I didn’t tell Molly anything, but it might be for the best that you don’t cook. Remember the noodle incident? I really don’t need you burning the place down while I’m gone. Please thank her for me, tell her I’ll watch the kids for her when I’m back. Would you mind asking for her chocolate cake recipe? I know Mary’s birthday is soon and I wanted to make it for her.
You’d like the magic shop, we can go to one together if you want, I don’t think there’s anything magic (at least at this one), but I hear there are shops that sell divination items. I got you a fake wand and some other things (don’t even bother asking what, it’s a surprise). How was the beach? Did you take any pictures? I love you, I’ll write again soon.

I’m so glad you’re making progress, I wish you could tell me what you’re doing, but I understand about Kingsley. Please keep me updated about when you’re coming home, I miss you so much.
Moony, you better hope he takes after Lily and not James if you want him to be able to read so soon. I’m still not sure if I believe you about not telling Molly anything, because she seems dead set on the whole cooking thing. I won’t burn the house down, I only burned something once! And I thought we agreed to never talk about it again? She says thank you for offering to take the kids, but seems a little worried about our ability to watch all seven of them (I do too, so I’m not sure why you would commit us to this). I got the recipe, do you want me to get the things you’ll need from the store? Are we planning Mary’s whole party? Because she requested strippers, and I’m not sure how you feel about that.
Can we please go to the magic shop? I want to take Harry. Maybe we can enchant a wand so he can play with it? I don’t think that’s against the law, but I’m sure you’ll tell me if it is. Fudge is being an absolute prick, and told me I have to come back to work. Molly, Alice and Mary have all offered to take him, I think I’ll let Molly take him, since Alice is just as busy with work as you are.
You’d have loved the beach trip, I turned into Padfoot and Harry spent hours chasing me around. Mary took lots of pictures, we built a sandcastle together then went and got ice cream.

Kingsley says we’re coming home next week, he wants to bring another team out to see if they can find anything we didn’t. I’ll owl with more information as soon as I get it. I’m quite thankful he’s letting us leave, it’s become quite exhausting spending all day searching for something we aren’t sure even exists.
You know, James was just as smart as Lily, he just didn’t try (something you should know a lot about). I really didn’t tell her anything, she [probably just has a mother’s intuition. I know how many kids she has, but the older three seem quite well behaved, and the youngest two should be just as easy as Harry. I’ll let you take the twins, they remind me of you and James, so you should be able to handle them. I would love it if you could get the things from the store, but please remember to check what we already have, (I know you grew up with money, but some of us know how to save). Yes, we can plan Mary’s whole party, but no, there will not be strippers.
I don’t think enchanting a wand to give to Harry is completely legal, but something tells me that won’t stop you. Fudge is always a prat, and I’m honestly surprised he let you have this much time off. Let Molly take him, I think she takes the Longbottoms’ son as well, please try to pay her, she’ll probably refuse, so talk to Arthur about it if you see him at the ministry.
I’m glad you had fun at the beach, and I look forward to seeing the pictures from Mary.
