“Dean, if you don’t make the damn list, I’m just going to get you a year’s worth of lettuce and fill your room with it,” you threatened.
You’d been having this argument for an hour. It was the holiday season, and when prompted with the question of ‘Do you have a list of things you want so I can narrow it down?’ he’d just replied something along the lines of ‘Oh, just the usual stuff.’ To make things worse, when you’d asked ‘What constitutes the usual stuff?’ he’d just shrugged. It was maddening.
He chuckled, obviously finding something about your irritation amusing. “Sweetheart, I told you, you don’t have to get me anything. I’ve got everything I could want right here.” He reached out to squeeze your hand.
“While that is very cute and I love you for saying it, that doesn’t help me shop for you, damn it!”
“Love you, too. But seriously–”
“Nope. You’re making a list. I don’t care if it’s just things you need to keep Baby looking pristine; make it.”
Dean rolled those green eyes fondly. “I suppose I could do that if you insist.”
“I do.”
